Abstract

The efficiency of fish landing time is an sign of determine the level of time management in fish landing activities as well as efforts to maintain the condition of quality and freshness of quality fish reaching consumers. The purpose of this study is to determine the efficiency of landing times and the factors that influence the efficiency of landing times of purse seine catches at the North Sumatra Province's Belawan Ocean Fisheries Port (PPS). This study employed a survey approach with a total sample size of 30 purse seine vessels. The efficiency level of landing time for purse seine catches at Belawan PPS is classified as efficient with an average of 75.89%. The results of the linear regression analysis obtained a value (R2) of 0.96 which shows that degree level of efficiency of fish landing time is influenced by 96% by the variables studied, namely (amount of catch (kg), number of unloaders (people), size of the fishing fleet (GT), the age of the unloader (years), and the experience of the unloader (years). And the remainder 4% is impacted by additional elements not covered in this research. Meanwhile, the variables that have a real influence are unloading time (minutes) having a value of 1,38×10−8 and wasted time (minutes) having a value of 8.85×10−16 significant < 0.05.

Abstract

Semarang Regency, especially Bandungan Subdistrict, is known as a tourist destination with growing culinary potential. Tight competition in the culinary business requires businesses to understand the factors that influence customer satisfaction and loyalty. This study aims to analyze the effect of product diversity and restaurant atmosphere on customer loyalty, either directly or through customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. The research was conducted at Pemancingan Suharno 2 Restaurant from December 2024 to January 2025 using a descriptive quantitative approach. A sample of 119 respondents was obtained through purposive sampling technique, with the criteria that customers are at least 17 years old and have made purchases at least twice in the last year. Data processing was carried out using SEM analysis with the help of WarpPLS 7.0 software. The results showed that product diversity and restaurant atmosphere have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. In addition, restaurant atmosphere has a significant indirect effect on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction, while product diversity does not show a significant mediating effect. These findings confirm the importance of creating a supportive restaurant atmosphere and relevant product diversity to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the group characteristics, members' perceptions of leadership styles, and the level of group dynamics among fish farmers in Ponoragan Village, Loa Kulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency.The research was conducted from September 2024 to April 2025 in Ponoragan Village, Loa Kulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency.The sampling method used in this study is the Census method with a sample size of 38 fish farmers from three groups of fish farmers, namely: Kelompok Cahaya Ulam, Mina Kolam Mandiri Jaya, and Sumber Sari Makmur.The types of data used in this research are primary and secondary data.Data analysis uses tabular-based descriptive analysis, which is then presented in the form of tables.Data collection through questionnaires and interviews was then analyzed using descriptive statistics.The research results show that the characteristics of the group leaders and members fall within the age range of 25-60 years, with the majority having a high school education.The number of dependents ranges from 3-5 people, with an income range of Rp. 2,000,000-Rp. 4,000,000.The dominant leadership style is authoritarian in the Cahaya Ulam group, while other leadership styles are democratic in the Mina Kolam Mandiri Jaya group, and relaxed in the Sumber Sari Makmur group.Even the level of group dynamics varies among the groups.This research is expected to provide information and input to the public regarding more effective leadership styles and group dynamics of fish farmer groups. Abstract

Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUB) Nelayan Jaya merupakan kelompok usaha yang memanfaatkan potensi perikanan di Desa PIlanjau dengan komoditas utama kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil kelompok dan dinamika KUB Nelayan Jaya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan peneliti menggunakan observasi, angket dan wawancara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan metode analisis data bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Indikatornya adalah tujuan kelompok, struktur kelompok, fungsi dan tugas kelompok, kesatuan dan kekompakan kelompok, pengembangan dan pemeliharaan kelompok, suasana kelompok, efektivitas kelompok, ketegangan kelompok dan maksud terpendam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat dinamika KUB Nelayan Jaya dengan skor 61,4 (skor 45,01 – 63,00) berada pada kategori sedang. Abstract

Rasbora galaxy (Danio margaritatus) is a type of freshwater ornamental fish that has a high economic value and is in great demand in the international market. This fish is included in the omnivorous animal group and can consume natural feed and commercial feed. Commercial feed has the advantage of being able to be designed with a nutritional formulation according to the needs of the type and age of the fish. Among the important factors in feeding management is the dose of feed. Feeding with low or high doses both have a negative effect on the absolute length growth of rasbora galaxy fish. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of providing commercial feed with different doses on the absolute length growth of rasbora galaxy fish (Danio margaritatus) measuring 1.5-2 cm in experimental tanks. This study used an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment in this study was the provision of commercial feed with different doses. Treatment A; 2% of the weight of the test animal biomass, treatment B; 3% of the weight of the test animal biomass, treatment C; 4% of the weight of the biomass of the test animals, treatment D; 5% of the weight of the biomass of the test animals and treatment E; 6% of the weight of the biomass of the test animals. The test animals used 1.5-2 cm galaxy rasbora fish with an average weight of 0.5 g/tail. The stocking density was 2 fish/liter, the experimental media used fresh water with a volume of 3 liters/tub. The results showed that treatment C gave the best results for the absolute length growth galaxy rasbora fish of 0.74 cm/tail. Water quality data obtained water temperature ranged from 26.8 - 27.8 0C, acidity levels ranged from 6.9 - 7.1 and dissolved oxygen ranged from 5.29-5.69 ppm.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze marketing channels, marketing margins, shrimp farmer's share, marketing costs, profit-to-cost ratio, and marketing efficiency for black tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) and vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) in Sepatin Village, Anggana District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The sampling method used purposive sampling and snowball sampling, involving 40 farmer respondents and 2 marketing institutions. The results show two marketing channel patterns: one-level channels (Producer-Collector-End Trader) and two-level channels (Producer-Collector-Retailer-Consumer). The marketing margins for black tiger shrimp and vaname shrimp in the level one channel were Rp 4,600/kg and Rp 6,500/kg, respectively, while the level two channel reached Rp 10,000/kg. The shrimp farmer's share for level one was 97% for black tiger shrimp and 92% for vaname shrimp, whereas level two was only 2%. Marketing efficiency for level one ranged from 1% to 2%, while level two reached 3% and 38,7%. These findings demonstrate that the level one marketing channel is more efficient than level two. Abstract

Bandotan leaves have the potential to be used as a natural anaesthetic for fish transportation. The objective of this study was to determine the effectiveness and optimal concentration of bandotan leaf extract (Ageratum conyzoides L.) on the survival of tilapia during wet transportation. This study employed a completely randomised design (CRD) with four treatments of bandotan leaf extract: P0 (Control), P1 (250 mg/3L), P2 (300 mg/3L), and P3 (350 mg/3L), each repeated three times. The test subjects were tilapia fingerlings transported in a wet transport system for 6 hours. The optimal dose of bendotan leaf extract was found to be P1 (250 mg/3L) with an induction time of 40 minutes, a recovery time of 5.5 hours, and a survival rate (SR) of 98.04±3.39%. Water quality during transport was within tolerable conditions for tilapia, with temperature ranging from 26–27.2 °C, pH from 7.43–7.66, and dissolved oxygen (DO) from 0.7–1.2 mg/L. Abstract

As a country with a very high level of fish consumption, Japan relies heavily on the marine sector, especially in the activity of catching abundant marine products. Various types of fishing gear have been developed, ranging from traditional equipment to modern technology using machines and robots. These efforts are made by the Japanese government to ensure the availability of fresh fish for its people. This study aims to compare fish catches based on different colors of artificial bait and to identify and analyze the effect of bait color on the effectiveness of catches directly in the field. The research material focuses on the comparison of artificial bait colors to improve the catch of the pole and line method. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that silver-colored bait was most effective in attracting skipjack, with the highest number of catches compared to the other two bait colors. In addition, catches were recorded significantly higher in the morning session (07:00-11:00) compared to the afternoon and evening sessions. The fishing location factor also contributed to the variation in catch, with some locations showing higher levels of productivity. These findings confirm the importance of choosing the right time, location and bait color to optimize catch using the pole and line method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi respon makan udang vaname pada stadi post larva (PL 20) dengan pemberian pakan alami jenis maggot. Penelitian ini bersifat eksploratif dengan metode experimental laboratoris. Perlakuan yang dilakukan terdiri dari 1 jenis perlakuan yaitu pemberian maggot dengan dosis 20% dari bobot badan per hari (20% / BB / Hari), yang diberikan sebanyak 3 kali sehari. Penelitian dilakukan dengan 10 kali ulangan. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penilitian menunjukkan bahwa respon udang vanname sangat baik terhadap pemberian maggot, yang dapat dilihat dari beberapa indikator yaitu (1) Respon udang vanname PL 20 mampu menerima maggot dengan baik sejak awal pemberian, (2) Respon kaki jalan (pereopod), pada hari ke 3 udang menunjukkan peningkatan aktivitas membawa maggot menggunakan kaki jalan jika dibandingkan hari sebelumnya, (3) Respon perilaku makan, pada hari pertama udang vanname belum cepat merespon maggot. Namun pada hari-hari berikutnya udang vanname menunjukkan gerakan cepat mendekati pakan maggot, (4) Kualitas air selama penelitian masih berada dalam kisaran yang layak untuk kehidupan udang vanname yaitu suhu memiliki nilai berkisar 29-30 °C, DO (Dissolved Oxygen) memiliki nilai berkisar 5.3-6.5 mg/L, Salinitas memiliki nilai berkisar 31 ppt, pH memiliki nilai berkisar 7.9-8.0 dan Amonia (NH3) memiliki nilai berkisar 0.2-2.0 mg/L. Dengan demikian, maggot berpotensi digunakan sebagai alternatif pakan alami untuk udang vaname pada stadia PL 20 terutama dalam tahap adaptasi pakan awal. Abstract

Ikan nila salin (Oreochromis niloticus) merupakan ikan nila yang dibudidayakan pada perairan payau dengan memanfaatkan sifat euryhaline atau dapat mentoleransi perubahan salinitas dengan rentang yang lebar. Fase larva merupakan fase yang sangat kritis dan sangat sensitif terhadap ketersediaan makan dan faktor lingkungan. Terdapat efek dari pemberian pakan yang mengandung vitamin C dalam bentuk ascorbic acid terhadap pertumbuhan dan respon imun dalam arti daya tahan terhadap stres pada ikan nila. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan vitamin C dengan dosis yang berbeda pada pakan kuning telur puyuh terhadap sintasan dan pertumbuhan larva ikan nila salin (Oreochromis niloticus). Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 4 perlakuan, pakan kuning telur puyuh (kontrol), pakan kuning telur puyuh ditambah vitamin C 50 mg/L, pakan kuning telur puyuh ditambah vitamin C 100 mg/L, dan pakan kuning telur puyuh ditambah vitamin C  150 mg/L dengan 5 ulangan yang diberikan pada larva ikan nila salin. Analisa data dengan menggunakan uji Analysis of Varians dan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa penambahan vitamin C dengan dosis 100 mg/L menjadi perlakuan terbaik dengan hasil sintasan (74 ± 8,22%), pertumbuhan berat mutlak (0,07 ± 0,01 gram), laju pertumbuhan berat harian (4,0 ± 0,85%), dan pertumbuhan panjang mutlak (0,78 ± 0,08 cm).
