Education must keep up and adapt to continue to meet global challenges and the needs of individuals and society. This includes a more flexible approach, integrating technology, and focusing on skill development to suit the modern world. Therefore, educational practitioners must be able to meet these needs so that the teaching and learning process can always go hand in hand. This study used a pseudo-experimental design with a population of all 5th semester students and hypothesis testing using the t test. The test results with a two-sample t test obtained the results of Thitung 4.71 and Ttabel 3.21, this shows that at the sig level of 0.05, the value of Thitung > Ttabel. This means that H0 is rejected, and H1 so it can be concluded that there is an effect of applying the PjBL model combined with FC on students' critical thinking skills.

Conceptual understanding is the students’ skill to understand and explain the material concept based on their thinking. The researcher's finding in one of the schools in Tangerang shows the low students' conceptual understanding of grade XI on the topic Inverse Function with an average of 39%. Meanwhile, the concept in Mathematics is related to one another and becomes fundamental to solving the mathematics problem. In Mathematics, the concept is like a spiral since it's connected between the new learning and prior knowledge. Thus, the concept of understanding is really important to bridge the next material. Therefore, the solution to solve that issue is by applying the REACT learning model as contextual learning that emphasizes conceptual understanding with constructivism philosophy in each stage. The purpose of this research is to find out the application of the REACT learning model to develop students’ conceptual understanding in Grade XI in the topic Inverse Function with descriptive qualitative research. REACT learning model is started by linking the lesson with a real-world situation or students' prior knowledge (relating), then continued by finding the concept (experiencing), then applying it in solving the problem (applying), which can be done by discussing with teacher and friends (cooperating), then the students solve the Mathematics problem based on the new context for deeper understanding (transferring). By those steps, REACT learning model has been proven to develop students' concept understanding become 70% with high criteria.

Limited mathematics learning resources in schools mean that teachers only use textbooks and worksheets provided by the school. This is also a lack of teacher knowledge and skills in utilizing a variety of learning resources in mathematics learning. This research aims to produce LKPD with nuances of local Malay wisdom in Rokan Hulu, Riau. This type of research is research and development (R&D). The development of this LKPD follows the ADDIE development model. The LKPD developed met the validation criteria, namely an average of 4.41 was obtained in the valid category. This shows that this LKPD is suitable for use in mathematics learning. Implementation of the use of LKPD in mathematics learning through the classroom action research stage, which was carried out by the mathematics subject teacher at SMPN 1 Rambah, which was carried out in 2 cycles. The test results in cycle I were 24 students or 75% complete and 8 students or 25% incomplete. The test results in cycle II showed that all students completed, namely 32 students or 100% completion. This shows that this LKPD is effective and practical for use in mathematics learning. Thus, this LKPD meets the criteria, is valid, practical and effective for use in mathematics learning.

Reasoning ability is one of the abilities that students must have through high-order thinking processes to solve problems. However, students have not been able to solve problems that require high-order thinking and students have not been able to examine the problems given. This study aims to describe errors and factors that cause students to make mistakes made by MTs students in solving HOTS questions based on mathematical reasoning abilities. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The subjects of this study were 2 students with high category of mathematical reasoning abilities, 2 students in medium category, and 2 students in low category. The research instrument consisted of the researcher himself and test questions as the main instrument followed by an interview guide and tape recorder. Data collection was carried out by written tests and interviews. The technique for checking the validity of the data uses time triangulation, namely giving STKPM1 and STKPM2 at different times. The results of this study indicate that students with high abilities are able to solve HOTS questions correctly without any errors, students with moderate abilities have errors in doing mathematical manipulation, compiling evidence or giving reasons for the correctness of solutions and drawing conclusions from statements. The factor that causes students to make these mistakes is that students do not understand the problems given and make mistakes in calculating. Meanwhile, students with low ability categories have errors in making assumptions, manipulating mathematics, compiling evidence or giving reasons for the correctness of solutions and drawing conclusions from statements. The factor that causes students to make these mistakes is not understanding the problem given.
