Abstract

The golden snail (Pomaceae canaliculata) is an organism that destroys cultivated plants with a loss rate of 10-40%. The threat of the golden snail can become an opportunity that has economic and ecological value if it is used as liquid organic fertilizer (POCMAS-Plus). The POCMAS-Plus product, as a result of the training, can support sustainable agricultural development in Subak Lepud, Baha Village, and overcome the failure of rosella seedling growth due to less consistent growth. The activity aims to provide skills to subak members in making liquid organic fertilizer made from snails and applying POCMAS-Plus to rosella plants in the nursery phase. The implementation method consists of 1) Socialization activities and training on using golden snails as liquid fertilizer. 2) Demonstration of making liquid organic fertilizer and 3) application (POCMAS-Plus) to Rosella plants in the nursery phase. Paired T-test was carried out to determine the difference in the growth of rosella seedlings between those given and those not given POCMAS-Plus on growth uniformity, root length, seedling length, and the number of leaves. The pre-test results showed that most participants knew what organic fertilizer was. Still, only half knew the ingredients that could be used as liquid organic fertilizer, and most did not know about the process of making liquid organic fertilizer. All participants know and can make fertilizer independently. The POCMAS-Plus application increased the growth and uniformity of rosella seedlings. The results of the POCMAS-Plus application show that golden snails can be used as the main ingredient for making liquid organic fertilizer so that the growth and uniformity of rosella seedlings are better.

Abstract

One of the products that can be created from the micro industry is processing palm sap into granulated sugar, commonly known as ant sugar. In the forestry sector, sugar palm is one of the plants included in the category of Non-Timber Forest Products. NTFPs are non-timber forest products that have economic value and benefit many people. This activity aims to determine the capacity of forest farmer groups in processing palm sap into palm sugar using modern technology in the form of crystallite and sorting machines. The methods used are socialization, counselling and using tools for the product packaging. The result of this activity is that public knowledge regarding processing palm sugar using modern technology is still lacking and not used to it. After practising the use of tools accompanied by a team and technicians, community knowledge of the use of modern technology tools in the form of Crystallator and Sorting machines also increased from not knowing to know. Likewise, in terms of product packaging, people who initially used ordinary tools and even used leaves have now expanded to tofu and can use modern packaging tools. However, it is necessary to provide continuous assistance. This activity concludes that the community has been able to use modern tools and package products properly even though they still need help for marketing and stock.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The lack of knowledge about transaction bookkeeping and the preparation of financial reports according to standards makes the level of MSME tax compliance in Bogor Regency is still relatively low. The existence of these problems made the group of lecturers in the field of Accounting expertise at the Jakarta State Polytechnic (PNJ) try to contribute in terms of education and assistance to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) group of Bogor Regency in the form of training programs and assistance in preparing financial reports with MSEI standards (Micro Small Entities and Intermediate). This training activity aims to provide MSME actors with knowledge and skills in bookkeeping using the Accurate Lite application as an effort to improve MSME tax compliance. The training method uses case study methods and work instructions, where training materials are given in the form of cases and trainees carry out bookkeeping practices directly in the Accurate Lite application based on work instructions from tutors. As a result of the training activities, there was an increase in knowledge of accounting and taxation as well as an increase in the skills of the trainees in recording business transactions and compiling financial reports. Furthermore, it is hoped that the MSME players participating in the training can consistently do bookkeeping using the Accurate Lite application anywhere, anytime, not limited by space and time, because Accurate Lite can be downloaded on the device of each training participant. The conclusion of the activity is that the training activities that have been carried out have been able to improve participants' accounting literacy so that participants can manage their business finances better in an effort to improve their tax compliance. Abstract

The filtration system is a technique for improving the water quality of fish farming ponds due to low productivity from swamp water sources and the Barito Marabahan river. The pollution comes from anthropogenic activities, leftover feed, and fish feces. Accumulating feces, leftover feed, and waste metabolites cause a decrease in water quality, especially from the parameter values of water pH and ammonia levels during rearing. High ammonia can cause poisoning or lack of oxygen and accelerate the development of the disease. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the quality of fish pond water, especially the water pH parameters. It is used for recirculation-based commercial fish enlargement activities, local materials, swamps water, and river water resources. The methods used in this activity range from the steps of site surveys, program socialization, counseling, and the creation of filtration units. This activity was carried out from June to August 2022, located at the Pendalaman Baru fish cultivator group (Pokdakan), Barambai District, Barito Kuala Regency. The success rate in training on manufacturing and maintaining recirculating units with portable filters is 80%. The evaluation results using the scoring technique stated that the partner's knowledge level increased by 80% for the manufacture of filtration units and their installation, an adaptation of filtration unit designs increased by 85%, and the unit was operational. Maintenance techniques and scheduling of fish feeding increased by 70%. The rate of sedimentation originating from rivers and swamps is the primary water source for aquaculture activities that enter the pond inlet pipe. The material accumulates in the filtration unit with a specific thickness, thus requiring more intensive maintenance for fish pond cultivating groups. This technique can be developed as an initial treatment to improve water quality in various fish pond ecosystems that utilize other water sources.

Abstract

Intensive cultivation of tilapia at high densities causes high waste, which can result in low water quality. This will also make it easier for fish to get sick. Another problem in tilapia cultivation is the high use of feed. These problems cause low productivity in tilapia aquaculture. One solution is to cultivate tilapia using the biofloc system. The biofloc system has been shown to increase fish growth, improve water quality, and the floc that forms can be used as a feed source, reducing the need for artificial feed. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide insight regarding tilapia farming using biofloc technology and training on how to make biofloc for tilapia cultivators in fish farming groups in Lake Ngade. Activities are carried out at Fitu Village, near Lake Ngade, from June to August 2022. Activities include: 1) socialization with the aim of broadening tilapia cultivators' insights using biofloc technology; 2) hands-on training on how to make floc in buckets, flock measurement, stocking tilapia, rearing, and harvesting. The results of the socialization activities were able to pique the participants' interest and increase their knowledge, particularly those of the tilapia cultivators in Lake Ngade, about the biofloc material provided. It can be seen from the interaction between participants and resource persons regarding the material provided during socialization activities. During the training activities, cultivators follow all stages, starting from how to make flocks, measuring flocks, stocking tilapia, rearing them, and harvesting them. During rearing, the practices given are 1) feed management; 2) flock volume measurement and flock management; and 3) measurement of several water quality parameters such as pH, temperature, hardness, nitrite, and nitrate. The conclusion from this community service activity is that the socialization and training carried out can increase the participants' insights and skills, especially for tilapia cultivators using biofloc technology, starting from the method of making flocks, measuring flocks, stocking tilapia, maintenance, including feeding and measuring quality water, and harvest.

Abstract

Farmers in the hamlet of Borong Rappo, Sokkolia Village, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency with an area of 10 ha of rice fields. In the dry season, water for irrigation is obtained from wells or reservoirs. For water to be channeled to the fields, the water in the well or reservoir is pumped using a pump machine. There are two types of pump machines used by farmers, namely machines with petalite fuel and those using gas, thereby increasing production costs. This activity aims to help farmers reduce operational costs in the form of fuel costs by implementing a Solar photovoltaic water pumping system (SPVWPS). SPVWPS has almost 0 (zero) operational costs. The procedure for implementing this PKM activity begins with a site survey and discussions with partners to determine solutions to problems. The types of SPVWPS implemented are direct driven type and deep well (submersible) pump type. The implemented SPVWPS capacity is 900 Wp for solar panels and 700 W for DC pumps. The results of observations of pump performance in sunny conditions the pump can produce a discharge of 84.1 l/minute so it takes about 2.77 hours to meet the water needs of each paddy field. While in cloudy conditions this SPTAS can pump 53.3 l/minute of water, in this condition it takes 4.38 hours to meet water needs. The SPTAS system can eliminate pump operating costs and the average time needed to meet water needs each day is 3.75 hours.
