Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of the Women Farmers Group (Kelompok Wanita Tani/KWT) Melati Asri in Tambak, Ngestiharjo Village, Bantul, through the implementation of smart farming innovation based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The main challenges faced by the group include limited knowledge and assistance in agricultural technology, suboptimal production management, inadequate farming facilities, and low digital literacy for marketing and product diversification. To address these issues, the program was carried out in five main stages: socialization, training, technology implementation, mentoring and evaluation, as well as sustainability planning. Training sessions covered modern agricultural technologies, organizational management, business plan development, and agricultural product diversification. Furthermore, smart farming technology, such as sensor-based monitoring systems in greenhouses, was introduced and accompanied by intensive mentoring. The outcomes show an increase in members’ knowledge of digital agriculture, skills in farm management, and awareness of innovation to strengthen local food security. The program also encouraged women’s active role in the community economy, opened wider market access through digitalization, and created opportunities for value-added agricultural product diversification. With a participatory and sustainable approach, this initiative is expected to improve productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness of KWT Melati Asri in the long term. Abstract

Javanese script is one of the materials from the local content of the Javanese language that is often considered difficult to learn. Efforts are needed to help learn it through technology integration based on learning needs in the current digital era. The purpose of this service is to improve the understanding of children in the Canden Village area through the implementation of the Aksaraga application. The implementation method of this activity is carried out in 4 stages, namely socialization, mentoring, act & doing, and reflective & evaluation. This activity was carried out in the Sarekan Hamlet children's community which consists of 12 active member children at the elementary school level. The results of the implementation of this service activity provide an overview that through the implementation of the Aksaraga technology application, children can easily learn Javanese script, it is accessible, useful in helping understanding and interesting for children, so that this application can be one solution in making it easier to learn Javanese script in this digital era. Abstract

The risk of workplace accidents can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere and certainly not expected to happen. The risk of accidents can also occur in schools such as at SMK SMF INDONESIA Yogyakarta. There is interaction between students and teachers in carrying out activities both in the classroom, outside the classroom, and also in the laboratory. Accidents and diseases caused by work activities can be avoided as early as possible if all elements of the school understand the risks and hazards that can occur in the school environment. The implementation of school OSH and its understanding of students and teachers is still lacking. Most of them only have general knowledge of OSH without being given other essential understandings. Awareness of OSH culture is a powerful way to prevent work accidents. The implementation of OSH is the joint responsibility of all parties involved. OHS education must continue to be carried out as an effort to instil an OHS culture. Thus, they have a mindset of working or doing things correctly by always being careful and vigilant about potential hazards around them. Based on these problems, K3 education was conducted for students of SMK SMF INDONESIA Yogyakarta class XII. The method used in the abdimas activity is counselling. Pengabdi presented material related to the application of K3 in schools. As a result of this activity, the participants increased their knowledge about K3. Abstract

Particularly, a bubble generator is a prospective and simple technology to be widely implemented during aeration purposes in aquaculture sectors. Here, amount of small air-bubbles which are produced can effectively maintain the dissolved oxygen concentration in the water with a longer time duration in comparison to several others conventional methods. Moreover, optimum geometry specifications may decrease its power consumption. Therefore, a soft introduction to the concept of this technology is necessary. Additionally, to ease on understanding of its theoretical concepts, a practical work is further of a great importance. It further deals with the acceleration of aquaculture’s production. Abstract

Sustainability issues in village financial governance have become increasingly important amid growing demands for environmentally sound and inclusive development. Srengat Subdistrict, Blitar Regency, has significant economic potential based on agriculture and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, village budgeting practices remain largely focused on physical and administrative expenditures, with limited consideration of social and environmental impacts. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of village officials and local economic actors in implementing sustainable financial management through the integration of green budgeting principles into the Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBDes). The program adopted a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, including socialization, training, the application of matrix-based Green Tagging, and three months of mentoring and evaluation. Initial assessments revealed low sustainable finance literacy, the absence of Green Tagging practices, and the lack of technical guidelines for classifying green activities at the village level. Preliminary results demonstrate improved understanding of green budgeting, the development of a draft green activity classification toolkit compatible with the village financial system, and the establishment of a Green Budgeting Working Group. This initiative marks an important step toward transparent, participatory, and triple bottom line–oriented village financial governance. Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) often face challenges in preparing financial reports because these processes are still manual and unstructured. This study aims to improve MSMEs' understanding of financial reporting and to analyze the effectiveness of Microsoft Excel. The method used was a descriptive quantitative approach using observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The activities were carried out through the stages of initial observation, needs identification, training and mentoring, and implementation. The results showed that, before the mentoring, financial records were disorganized and not integrated with the owner's finances. After the mentoring, business owners were able to systematically record transactions and prepare simple financial reports, including profit and loss statements, changes in equity, and the financial position. The use of Microsoft Excel has been shown to improve the accuracy and neatness of recording and to foster awareness of separating business and personal finances. Therefore, Microsoft Excel-based mentoring is effective in improving the quality of MSME financial management. Keyword: MSMEs, financial reports, Microsoft Excel, bookkeeping

Abstract

The low level of students’ religious literacy and Islamic character development in archipelagic areas, particularly in Qur’an reading skills, the application of basic tajwid, Islamic art development, and habituation of religious activities, became the main background for this Community Service Program. This program aimed to improve students’ religious literacy and strengthen their Islamic character through Qur’an learning guidance, Islamic calligraphy training, and Yasin recitation activities in Pulau Ay Village, Banda Neira District, Central Maluku Regency. The participants consisted of students of State Elementary School 182 Maluku Tengah and State Junior High School 10 Maluku Tengah. The implementation method employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach through preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages using participatory and educational approaches. The activities were conducted through group learning, direct practice, and mentoring sessions for students. Program evaluation used coaching evaluation sheets analyzed descriptively using quantitative methods. The results showed improvements in student participation, Qur’an reading ability, Islamic calligraphy skills, and discipline in Yasin recitation activities. This community service program contributed positively to strengthening students’ religious character in archipelagic areas. Abstract

This community service program was motivated by the need to strengthen teachers’ competence in designing contextual learning that is relevant to students’ everyday lives. The program aimed to enhance teachers’ understanding and skills in developing teaching materials based on the local wisdom of Lahat Regency. It was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Lahat through training and mentoring activities involving teachers as participants. The program consisted of several stages, including material presentation, discussion, identification of local wisdom potentials, development of teaching materials, presentations of participants’work, reflection, and completion of a satisfaction questionnaire. Data were collected through observation, participants’ teaching material products, and questionnaire responses. The results showed that the teachers gained a better understanding of the importance of integrating local wisdom into classroom learning. In addition, participants were able to develop teaching materials that connected subject content with the local context of Lahat Regency. The participants’ responses also indicated positive perceptions of the program’s usefulness, implementation, and potential application in schools. Therefore, this program contributed to strengthening teachers’ pedagogical competence in designing contextual learning based on local wisdom.
