Abstract

Jepitu Village is located in a karst hill area covering an area of ​​1,625.1960 km². Most of the population works as dryland farmers, gardeners, livestock breeders, and fishermen. Despite having abundant natural resources, including agricultural and marine products, local small businesses (MSMEs) face challenges in marketing their products, most of which have limited reach. To overcome this, the community service team assists in using WhatsApp Business and Instagram Business as digital marketing platforms for MSMEs in Jepitu. This training aims to improve product marketing through digital content creation and social media strategies. WhatsApp and Instagram Business offer features that facilitate customer interaction, such as automatic replies and product catalogs. This mentoring program has five stages: socialization, training, technology application, mentoring, and sustainability. The results show a significant increase in participants' understanding and use of digital marketing media, expanding marketing reach and increasing sales. Abstract

The BK work program in schools is shown in physical form, namely the BK module which contains service plans according to student needs. The efforts made to carry out this role, guidance and counseling teachers are required to make a service implementation plan. The problem faced by guidance and counseling teachers in the current independent curriculum, is that their skills in compiling guidance and counseling modules are not yet optimal according to the context of the Pancasila student profile and the achievements of the independent curriculum. Therefore, assistance is needed for guidance and counseling teachers at junior high school and equivalent levels to prepare guidance and counseling modules. The subjects who attended the service activities consisted of 50 public and private middle school guidance and counseling teachers. This activity collaborates with the Mempawah Regency Guidance and Counseling Teachers' Conference (MGBK), located at 2 Junior High Schools Mempawah. The methods used identification, discussion and practicum in creating guidance and counseling service modules, evaluation and reflection. The results of implementing community service are providing skills in creating independent curriculum guidance and counseling service modules based on needs analysis according to development phases and creating service achievements based on Pancasila student profile indicators. Abstract

The application of solar power plant technology as a backup power source at Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School, Yogyakarta, aims to address the challenges caused by disrupted electricity supply. This Islamic boarding school has a strategic location due to its close access to the city center of Yogyakarta. The school relies on electricity for its educational and worship activities. A study was conducted to assess the potential of solar energy, geographical conditions, and the readiness of Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School to adopt renewable energy technology. After the assessment, structured implementation activities, such as awareness socialization, training, and direct assistance, were carried out to ensure the management of the solar power system by the school administration. The results of the Community Service program showed that a solar power system had successfully been implemented to address disruptions during power outages, thereby improving worship and educational activities. This program encourages partner involvement and environmental awareness among the school management and students. Recommendations for ensuring the program’s sustainability include training, routine performance evaluations, and potential partnerships with government and private organizations to promote the use of renewable energy. This successful program is expected to serve as a model for other educational institutions seeking to implement renewable energy technology. Abstract

During adolescence, having knowledge about reproductive health is a very important aspect for the formation of healthy attitudes and behavior in adolescents. Lack of knowledge about reproductive health can have an impact on risky behavior, especially in adolescents who have limited access to information and health services. This activity aims to increase reproductive health knowledge among teenagers at the At-Tanzil Serdang Guidance Studio (SB), Malaysia, most of whom come from Indonesian Migrant Worker (PMI) families. This activity uses an interactive lecture method supported by media in the form of PowerPoint and educational videos. The ultrasound method ((Urgency, Seriousness, Growth) is applied to determine problem priorities, while the fishbone diagram is used to identify the root causes of low understanding of reproductive health in adolescents. Evaluation of counseling activities is carried out through pretest and posttest. The results show a significant increase in adolescents' understanding of reproductive health after counseling, the statistical test results showed a significant difference (p < 0.05). This activity is expected to have a long-term impact in helping teenagers maintain their reproductive health during puberty. Keywords: Reproductive health, adolescents, counseling, Guidance Studio

Abstract

This program aims to enhance educational services and literacy knowledge among early childhood students at Akar Tumbuh Melati School through the implementation of appropriate technology (Smart Perpustakaan). The activities were carried out in five stages: socialization, training, technology implementation, assistance, and evaluation with sustainability measures. The Smart Perpustakaan technology includes a library space, an encyclopedia book collection, virtual reality (VR) videos for interactive reading activities, and Cardboard VR devices. The results show a 92% increase in digital literacy knowledge and a 33.33% improvement in the quality of educational services. This program successfully reduced children's dependency on non-educational digital content and opened opportunities for sustainable collaboration with related stakeholders. Abstract

The issue of waste accumulation has become one of the challenges and difficulties faced by every country in the world. This also applies to Indonesia, including the cities in this country. What draws special attention is the plastic waste produced, despite the many uses of plastic in human life. Plastic takes a very long time to decompose. The use of plastic in society has become a habit because it is more practical, including what is done by vendors at SDN 4 Sirnajaya, which is located in the Tarogong Kaler district of Garut Regency. Getting into the habit of reducing single-use plastic waste becomes a solution, especially for students, to understand and recognize the importance of reducing single-use plastic waste so that they can become individuals who can care for this earth. The PKM activity that has been carried out aims to emphasize the importance of education regarding the reduction of single-use plastic waste among the students of SDN 4 Sirnajaya. After the outreach, the students better understood the importance of maintaining environmental welfare and the significance of reducing waste. The outreach activities successfully increased students' awareness of the harmful effects of plastic waste, as shown by current data, and encouraged them to be more concerned about environmental cleanliness. Effective education, including the use of media such as animated videos, has proven to enhance students' understanding and enthusiasm for the material presented. Abstract

Tunon Village, Tegal City, is the center of the tempeh home industry which contributes significantly to the local economy. However, liquid waste produced from the tempe making process is often thrown away carelessly, causing environmental pollution in the form of water pollution and unpleasant odors. This waste contains nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus, which have the potential to be used as liquid organic fertilizer (POC). This community service is carried out to overcome the problem of environmental pollution from tempe water waste. Implementation methods include problem identification, outreach, training and mentoring to the PKK Women's Farmer Group (KWT). The results of the activity show the enthusiasm of the community in utilizing tempe waste into POC, which not only reduces environmental pollution but also provides additional economic value. The POC produced is environmentally friendly and can be used to increase soil fertility. This activity proves the effectiveness of the educational approach in empowering the community while preserving the environment. Abstract

SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, is a vocational education institution focusing on the hospitality sector. However, students from grades X to XII face challenges in mastering English, particularly speaking and listening skills, which are crucial in this industry. These limitations can affect their confidence in communicating with foreign guests and hinder their readiness to enter an increasingly globalized workforce. To address this issue, a practice-based training program has been implemented to improve students' English-speaking skills. This program includes awareness sessions on the importance of English in the hospitality industry and interactive simulations with professional scenarios involving native English speakers. Findings from a one-sample paired t-test on 36 participants of the community service program showed an increase of 3.28 points in students' understanding of the importance of English proficiency in the hospitality industry, with a significance level of 1%. This indicates that the community service activity successfully enhanced participants' awareness of the importance of English in the hospitality sector. Abstract

Gondang Hamlet, Donokerto Village, faces challenges in accessing clean water, especially during the dry season, as the main water source comes from a turbid river flow. This community service initiative aims to address the issue by implementing a simple water filtration technology using a combination of media such as silica sand, zeolite, activated carbon, and magnesium. The design, training, and installation processes were carried out collaboratively with local residents to ensure sustainable usage. The results showed an improvement in water quality after filtration, although there was a challenge in the form of reduced water flow, which was resolved by installing an additional pump. This program also emphasizes the involvement of the community in maintaining the equipment and conducting regular monitoring to ensure the long-term functionality of the system. Abstract

Usaha Karya Bamboo Weaving Center is a bamboo weaving craft institution located in RT 02 RW 04 Dusun Bokol Kulon, Banjarwaru Village. It is managed independently by Hadi Tuslam Ranantika together with the community. This group started the business with 14 members who were tasked with making bamboo weaving crafts based on local wisdom, such as bags, clothes, baskets, bamboo boxes, flower vases, tissue holders, and other accessories. The biggest problem partners face is that the large number of orders cannot be fulfilled due to the limited availability of raw bamboo weaving materials. This is because they still rely on the conventional bamboo weaving process, which is labor-intensive and requires limited human resources to prepare the weaving materials. The purpose of this activity is to address the poor management system, which causes low efficiency in operations, quality control, and hinders long-term planning. Community service activities, including the application of bamboo weaving machine technology and the creation of a product sales system website for the bamboo weaving center in Banjarwaru Village, have helped increase the productivity and sales of partner products. The production results from the shredding machine enable the preparation of material requirements for 60 products per day, thereby exceeding the demand for raw materials by 50 products per day.
