Abstract

INCREASING COMMITMENT TO THE TEACHER PROFESSION THROUGH STRENGTHENING TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION In general, this research aims to increase commitment to the profession among public elementary school teachers in Cileungsi District, Bogor Regency, through efforts to develop transformational leadership and interpersonal communication variables by identifying the strengths of the relationship between these variables. The method used in this research is a survey method with a correlation approach. The population in this study was 826 teachers from 54 state elementary schools in Cileungsi District, Bogor Regency. Of the 826 State Elementary School teachers in Cileungsi District, Bogor Regency, 270 people would be sampled. The research results show a positive and significant relationship between transformational leadership and interpersonal communication together with commitment to the profession, with a correlation value of ry1.2 of 0.669, which means the relationship is strong. The contribution of transformational leadership and interpersonal communication to commitment to the profession obtained a Coefficient of Determination (KD) value of 0.448 with very strong criteria, which means 44.8%.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Ginger Software in supporting the self-correction process of English Department students in speaking skills. The background of this research lies in the limited ability of students to recognize and correct language errors independently during oral communication. This study employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. Fifteen fourth-semester students who had actively used Ginger Software for at least one semester were selected as participants. Data were collected through interviews, direct observation, and documentation using a Google Form designed to capture students’ use of Ginger during speaking practice. The findings revealed that Ginger assisted students in identifying linguistic errors, enhancing metacognitive awareness, and improving confidence and motivation in English speaking. Furthermore, Ginger encouraged collaborative learning. These findings indicate that Ginger Software is an effective technological tool for supporting self-correction and the development of speaking skills among English Department students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pentingnya peran psikologi Pendidikan terhadap siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan tinjauan literatur (library research), dimana pembahasanpada penelitian ini didasarkan pada pendapat-pendapat ahli danhasil penelitian terdahulu tentang psikologi dan proses pembelajaran. Key Informants semua bidang berjumlah 3 jurnal yang dipilih secara library research. Hasil penelitian menunjukan peran psikologi Pendidikan mewujudkan tindakan yang tepat dan interaksi yang baik antara pendidik dan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru dalam menjalankan perannya sebagai pendidik bagi peserta didiknya, tentunya dituntut memahami various aspects of his behavior maupun yang terkait dengan tugasnya, terutama perilaku peserta didik dengan segala aspeknya. Dengan memahami karakteristik siswa maka guru akan menjadi bijak dalam menyiapkan media pembelajaran, proses pembelajaran, dan dalam memberikan penilaian.

Abstract

STRATEGY FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF SCHOOL LITERACY MOVEMENT PROGRAM BASED ON A COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION AT SMP BINA INSANI KOTA BOGOR This research aimed to analyze the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (SLM) program at SMP Bina Insani Kota Bogor using evaluative research methods with the CIPPO model which included the components of context, input, process, product and outcomes. The aspects evaluated were those that had gone well and those that were still not optimal as a basis for policy making in the following years. Data collection was carried out through techniques of interview, observation and documentation studies. The informants were determined using purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data display and conclusions. The results of the research showed that of the 4 aspects in the context component evaluated, each received "Very Good" score category, of the 6 aspects in the input component evaluated, 2 aspects received "Good" score category and 4 aspects received "Very Good" score category, of the 5 aspects in the process component evaluated, 3 aspects received "Good" score category and 2 aspects received "Very Good" score category, 1 aspect evaluated in the product component received "Very Good" score category, and 2 aspects evaluated in the outcomes component, each received "Very Good" score category. Thus, the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (SLM) program at SMP Bina Insani Kota Bogor had generally been conducted very well with an achievement rate of 93.05% and could be continued with 2 aspects in the input component and 3 aspects in the process component were still allowing for improvement.

Abstract

STRENGTHENING TECHNOLOGY LITERACY IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERSIncreasing competitiveness in the field of education, especially basic education, must continue to be carried out and developed because this field is one of the pillars of the national strategy in the government's nawacita. The challenges of education in the educational era 4.0 are very big, especially in increasing the nation's competitiveness. Teachers generally have a universal educational background. This service activity aims to increase teacher competency in strengthening technological literacy. This activity is very useful for teachers to support their professionalism in their work. Teachers need to be trained and guided so that they have skills in technological resources, especially educational and teaching-based technological literacy. The benefits obtained by teachers are improving the quality of research-based learning and increasing skills in mastering technology in learning. The research method for this activity was carried out in two stages, namely training and guidance on technological literacy based on learning media. The results of research from activities show that teachers in Parung District will understand how to utilize technological literacy in learning media to improve the quality of learning and share information and experiences through scientific publications.

Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF SAKAI SAMBAYAN VALUES IN THE SOCIAL LIFE OF MODERN LAMPUNG SOCIETYSakai Sambayan is a noble cultural value of the people of Lampung that describes the spirit of mutual cooperation, togetherness, and social solidarity among others. This value is the moral and social foundation in various aspects of the life of the people of Lampung, both in customary, social, and religious activities. This study aims to describe how the values of Sakai Sambayan are applied in the life of the modern Lampung people, as well as identify the factors that support and hinder its implementation in the midst of rapid social change. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the value of Sakai Sambayan is still maintained and applied in various community activities, such as mutual cooperation in improving public facilities, the implementation of traditional ceremonies, religious activities, and social collaboration in the digital space through online fundraising and community-based social actions. Factors that support the preservation of these values include the strong internalization of local culture in daily life, the active role of traditional and religious leaders, and the support of families and educational institutions in instilling the value of togetherness. However, the application of Sakai Sambayan values faces a number of challenges, such as the increase in individualism due to modern lifestyles, the influence of urbanization that weakens social ties, and the declining participation of the younger generation in traditional social activities. Therefore, the preservation of Sakai Sambayan values needs to be done in an adaptive and innovative manner to remain relevant in the modern era through education, digital media, and community-based social activities.

Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON STUDENTS' SOCIAL BEHAVIOR AT LOKON ST. NIKOLAUS JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL, TOMOHONThis study aims to determine the level of emotional intelligence and social behavior of students and to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence on social behavior of students at Lokon St. Nikolaus Middle School, Tomohon. This study used a quantitative method, with students at Lokon St. Nikolaus Middle School, Tomohon, as respondents. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Respondents were determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in 150 respondents from a population of 239 at Lokon St. Nikolaus Middle School, Tomohon. Based on the results of the normality test table, it can be concluded that the results obtained using the One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test with the assistance of IBM SPSS 25 are normally distributed with a significance value of 0.078 0.05. Furthermore, the linearity test results showed an F-value of 1.523 with a significance value of 0.057 0.05, indicating a linear relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The results of the study indicate that emotional intelligence has a calculated coefficient of 0.81, categorized as very good, while students' social behavior has a calculated coefficient of 0.82, categorized as very good. Through simple regression analysis, it can be concluded that emotional intelligence influences students' social behavior at Lokon St. Nikolaus Middle School, Tomohon, with a coefficient of determination of 0.604. Based on the results obtained, the coefficient interval is categorized as strong, with a percentage of 60.4% of emotional intelligence influencing students' social behavior, while 39.6% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

LITERACY MANAGEMENT STRATEGY PROGRAM IN INCREASING STUDENTS READING INTERESR AT MTSN 3 SURABAYA CITYThe purpose of this study was to determine the literacy program management strategy in increasing students' interest in reading at MTsN 3 Surabaya City. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive research that collects data on the behavior and speech of a group of subjects. The research instruments used in this study were interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. The results of the interviews revealed two strategies for literacy program management in increasing students' interest in reading at MTsN 3 Surabaya City: First, literacy program planning through a schedule. Second, teachers act as motivators, facilitators, and mentors for students. Management strategies in increasing students' interest in reading through student scientific writing and SAGU SAKU (One Teacher One Book). Challenges that can hinder the development of student literacy at MTsN 3 Surabaya City is the lack of experienced teachers using supporting learning media. Evaluation or assessment is very important in the learning process because it is used as a tool to measure students' abilities and interests in literacy activities.

Abstract

In the contemporary education system, integrating technology is paramount in fostering student's problem-solving abilities. This research focuses on developing learning media that ensures validity, practicality, and effectiveness based on mobile learning through Smart Apps Creator to improve mathematical problem-solving skills. The research follows a Research and Development (RD) approach, employing the ADDIE model for its development. The study involved 30 students in tenth grade from SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan. The research results obtained include the average percentage validation by the media expert 85.17% and the material expert 87%, which are highly valid criteria. The percentage of practicality used with an average rate of teacher response questionnaire is 97.89%, and the student response questionnaire is 84.81%. Learning media developed using Smart Apps Creator (SAC) effectively improves problem-solving skills, as shown by the classical student learning completeness reaching 90% with effective criteria. The increase in problem-solving skills was an increase in the medium category, with an average N-gain score of 0.68. As a result, this study shows that creating learning media based on mobile learning through Smart Apps Creator is an effective educational tool that significantly improves student problem-solving skills.
