Abstract

Children who have difficulties in writing and reading are called dyslexia. This disorder is caused by neurobiologis disorder that bring a problem in language cognitive domain, however some research states that dyslexic children often have better other cognitive domain abilities than children in general, for instance, intelligence level, talent, and etcetera. That is why the researcher compares figural creativity level of dyslexic children and non-dyslexic children. Figural creativity is applied because dyslexic children undergone problem in language thus they do not use verbal creativity. This study employed ex post facto research design and the subject were 8 students that consisted of 4 dyslexic children and 4 non-dyslexic children. Caloured Progressive Matric test was used to measure creativity level. The result shows that there is no differences between creativity level of dyslexic students and non- dyslexic students. It can be seen when children have similar average intelligence, they have the same average level of creativity. It also supported by creativity theories which states that creativity is formed by individual cognitive factor.

Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common cancer worldwide. Breast cancer has the highest rate around 42.1 per 100,000 in Indonesian. The most common problems experienced are physical problems such as pain. Pain is related to the patient's quality of life. Digital-based guided imagery with virtual reality in pain management are still rarely used. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of guided imagery using digital therapy virtual reality in breast cancer patients. The method uses RCT with a parallel design. 60 respondents who were randomized using block randomization into 30 in both control and intervention groups. Conducted at Dharmais Cancer Hospital using virtual reality for 10-15 minutes in intervention group and digital leaflets to control group. Measurements using the NRS were carried out every day for 7 days. The results showed that guided imagery with virtual reality was able to reduce the pain scale in breast cancer patients compared to the control group with P = 0.000 (? 0.05). The use of virtual reality can be used as a reference for oncology nurses in providing non-pharmacological therapy to reduce pain and stress in patients especially breast cancer patients.

Abstract

The high comorbidity rate between diabetes mellitus and tuberculosis has a significant impact on the patient's health-related quality of life and eradication of tuberculosis program outcomes, especially in lower-middle-income countries that bear a "double disease burden". This review outlines the health-related quality of life of tuberculosis patients with diabetes. The search, selection, and article collection procedures were unmethodical. The retrieved articles were open-access and full-text in English. Health-related quality of life includes physical, psychological, social, and environmental domains. Health-related quality of life in diabetes, tuberculosis, and tuberculosis-diabetes comorbid patients experienced negative changes in all domains. Commonly used health-related quality-of-life measures can be generic or disease-specific. This review also highlights the importance of collaborative tuberculosis and diabetes management supported by the community, health workers, and stakeholders. Finally, this collaborative management support will enhance patient health-related quality of life and contribute to the accomplishment of the tuberculosis elimination program.
