The data that had been collected were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon test. The study results showed that the psychological well-being of male elderly people was 54.45, lower than that of female elderly people, who obtained a score of 54.51. In terms of age, the psychological well-being of elderly people was lower than that of elderly people. However, the overall results showed no difference in the psychological well-being of the male and female elderly with a p-value of 0,076>0,05. Abstract

Global diversity illustrates students' ability to think broadly when encountering cultures different from their own. The aim of this research is to determine whether there is an effect when guidance and counseling services are combined with local Indonesian values, specifically the values contained in Kakawin Sutasoma. The Kakawin Sutasoma is a work by Mpu Tantular, believed to have been written between 1365 and 1389 during the Majapahit kingdom in the 14th century. The Majapahit kingdom had a diverse cultural and religious background, which inspired Mpu Tantular to create a bridge among these various streams to foster unity. This research is a type of quasi-experiment, using a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects are 10th-grade students aged 15 to 16 years, selected through purposive sampling, consisting of 8 individuals for the experimental group and 6 individuals for the control group. The control group consists of 4 males and 4 females, while the experimental group has 4 males and 2 females. Data analysis used non-parametric statistical tests employing the Wilcoxon technique, followed by the Mann-Whitney test to compare differences between the experimental and control groups. The results of this study show an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.008 < 0.05. This means that group guidance with the sociodrama technique incorporating Kakawin Sutasoma values is effective in managing the global diversity attitudes of high school students.

Abstract

Social anxiety is a prevalent mental health issue in modern society, significantly affecting the quality of life of those impacted. However, access to mental health services, including traditional counseling, is often limited by various factors. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a cybercounseling application in addressing social anxiety. The application, developed as part of this research, provides clients with the ability to consult counselors without the constraints of distance and time. Key features include real-time chat with counselors, mental health articles as "self-help" resources, and a tool for measuring social anxiety levels. This research follows a Research and Development (RnD) design, comprising three stages of testing: (1) expert validation, which confirmed the model as valid for use; (2) limited empirical testing, where the application showed significant effectiveness in reducing social anxiety based on Wilcoxon statistical tests (p < 0.05); and (3) large-scale testing, which further confirmed the application's effectiveness with similar significant results (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that the cybercounseling application is a viable tool for treating social anxiety in the digital era.

Abstract

Emerging adulthood is a transitional phase characterized by instability and uncertainty, which can lead to psychological distress among individuals transitioning from high school to adulthood. This study utilized an experimental design to assess the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) training in improving subjective well-being and self-compassion. We recruited 18 emerging adults, specifically those who had recently graduated from high school, with 8 individuals in the experimental group and 10 in the control group. The training comprised four sessions, each lasting two hours. The Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) were used for measurement. Data analysis using independent sample t-tests indicated significant improvements in subjective well-being and self-compassion in the experimental group compared to the control group. The effects of the intervention remained strong at the 3-week follow-up. These findings suggest that ACT training is effective in enhancing subjective well-being and self-compassion among emerging adults experiencing psychological distress.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of Employee Engagement through Servant Leadership, Training, and Self-Efficacy on Employee Performance. This research uses quantitative methods and questionnaires distributed to employees at international cargo expedition companies. The analysis tool used was SmartPLS version 3 software. The research results revealed that servant leadership had a positive impact on employee engagement in international cargo expedition companies, while training also had a positive impact. However, self-efficacy does not have a significant effect on employee engagement or performance. Theoretical contributions suggest that employee engagement can mediate the relationship between servant leadership and employee performance, and vice versa. The findings of this research are useful for the human resource department. However, this research has the limitation of researchers only focusing on employee performance and involvement in freight forwarding companies. This study recommends further research in other organizations.

Abstract

This study employs a research and development (R&D) method, specifically using the ADDIE model. The stages in this research include: (1) the analyze stage; (2) the design stage; (3) the development stage; (4) the implementation stage; and (5) the evaluation stage. The purpose of this research is to develop a socio-drama technique guide containing TRINGA (Ngerti, Ngeroso, & Ngelakoni) values and to test the effectiveness of this socio-drama technique in preventing microaggression behaviors among junior high school students. The instrument used to measure the level of microaggressions behavior is the microaggressions questionnaire, which consists of 49 valid statement items. Based on the validation results from guidance and counseling experts, instructional media experts, cultural experts, and prospective user testing, the guide has met the acceptability criteria and is highly suitable for use. Based on small group test results analyzed using the Wilcoxon test, a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05 was obtained, indicating that group guidance using the socio-drama technique with TRINGA values is effective in preventing microaggression behaviors among junior high school students. Meanwhile, the Mann-Whitney test results showed a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating a difference between the experimental and control groups. It can be concluded that the sociodrama technique incorporating TRINGA values is more effective in preventing microaggressions among junior high school students than discussion and problem-solving techniques. Future researchers are advised to incorporate other cultural values relevant to the region of the research subjects.

Abstract

The first five years of marriage are filled with role transitions in an individual's life. Therefore, dyadic coping strategies, especially stress communication, are important for maintaining marital satisfaction. Personality traits such as authenticity also play a role in this dynamic. Authenticity affects how individuals are able to communicate openly about their stress, thereby also affecting how they feel about their marriage. Participants in this study are 1228 Indonesian citizens in the first five years of marriage. Stress communication was measured by Stress Communication dimension in Dyadic Coping Inventory (DCI), Authenticity was measured with Kernis-Goldman Authenticity Inventory Short Form (KGAI-SF), and Marital satisfaction was measured using Revised Dyadic Adjustment Scale (RDAS). Interestingly, the moderation analysis shows that authenticity plays a significantly negative moderating role in the relationship between stress communication and marital satisfaction in the first five years of marriage. This suggests that when individuals become too authentic in their relationship, the positive effect of stress communication on marital satisfaction is weakened.
