Abstract

Digital transformation in education has encouraged the utilization of information systems as a primary instrument for data-driven educational governance. One of the strategic systems is the Basic Education Data System (Dapodik), which serves as the main source of educational data for planning, implementation, evaluation, and policy-making processes in Indonesia. However, the implementation of Dapodik in remote areas continues to face various challenges that may affect data quality and the effectiveness of educational policies. This article aims to analyze the strategic role of Dapodik in educational governance, identify challenges in managing Dapodik administration in Tolikara Regency, and formulate strategies to strengthen digital-based educational data management. This study employs a literature review method with a descriptive qualitative approach by analyzing scientific publications, government regulations, policy documents, and previous relevant studies. The findings indicate that Dapodik management in remote areas is constrained by limited human resource competencies, inadequate technological infrastructure, weak organizational governance, and the underutilization of data for decision-making processes. Therefore, strengthening strategies are required through capacity building for operators, digital infrastructure development, improved monitoring and evaluation systems, and the cultivation of a data-driven decision-making culture. Strengthening Dapodik management is expected to improve educational governance and support more effective, accurate, and sustainable educational policy formulation.

Abstract

The low understanding of students in the competence of Machining Engineering expertise on the function of fresh machine parts is often caused by the learning process that is still dominated by conventional methods and the use of print modules that are less interactive. This study aims to analyze the feasibility level of e-modules, test the improvement of students' Phase F knowledge learning outcomes, and analyze the effectiveness of the application of e-modules compared to conventional lecture methods and print modules. This study is a quasi experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study are students of class XI of Mechanical Engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Semarang, which are divided into experimental groups and control groups. The data collection instrument used an expert validation questionnaire for e-module feasibility and test instruments (pre-test and post-test) to measure cognitive achievement. Based on the results of the expert assessment analysis, the e-module was declared valid with a CVR value of ≥ 0.75 and a CVI of ≥ 0.78, and was considered reliable with a percentage of agreement of 90%. The effectiveness test through N-Gain proved that experimental classes using e-modules experienced an increase in learning outcomes of 78.63% (high category) with an average post-test score of 70.00. In conclusion, the application of e-modules for the function of fresh machine parts is very feasible and has proven to be significantly more effective in improving students' knowledge learning outcomes compared to conventional learning media.

Abstract

This study examines social identity and digital networks in the practice of religious moderation among Muhammadiyah branches and sub-branches in Surabaya, Indonesia. Employing a mixed methods approach that integrates Social Network Analysis (SNA) with qualitative interpretive methods, the study aims to map the digital network structure of the organization, analyze the role of key actors in disseminating moderation values, and develop a conceptual model of a digital religious moderation network. The findings reveal that the digital moderation ecosystem of Muhammadiyah Surabaya operates through three structured narrative layers—policy, production, and distribution—underpinned by five mutually reinforcing factors: visionary leadership, digital social capital, autonomous infrastructure, digital literacy culture, and a responsive community feedback system. Key actors identified through degree centrality and betweenness centrality analysis play a significant role as bridges between communities in the digital preaching network. The dynamic interaction of these factors gives rise to the Organic Digital Moderation Ecology Model (MEDO), a bottom-up framework that transcends the top-down approaches dominating existing literature, while offering new theoretical contributions to the fields of religious communication and social network studies.

Abstract

The development of visual social media has changed the way students access information and consume fashion products. For fashion students, social media is not only used for personal interests, but also as a learning medium to keep up with fashion developments. This duality of functions then blurs the line between academic needs and consumption of fashion products, making them a vulnerable group to the urge to consume fashion products, especially fast fashion products. This study aims to examine the influence of fast fashion, Instagram, and Pinterest in influencing the consumer behavior of fashion products among students. This research is explanatory with a quantitative approach. The population of this study is Bachelor of Fashion Design Education and Bachelor of Applied Fashion Design students at the State University of Malang, with a total sample of 160 respondents taken through purposive random sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression analysis techniques. The results show that, overall, the three variables together explain with R2 of 20.6% of the variation in students’ consumption behavior. Specifically, fast fashion is the dominant predictor, exerting a significant positive influence with a standard beta of 0.289. The inclusion of the Instagram variable also exerts a significant influence due to several factors, such as the FoMO phenomenon. Conversely, the inclusion of the Pinterest variable actually had a significant negative effect on consumer behavior. This suggests that Pinterest serves more as a source of inspiration for creative ideas and academic design than directly encouraging impulsive purchases among students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of productive waqf management as a source of Islamic education financing non-state budget in madrasah, as well as to identify the management factors that most determine its success. The study uses a qualitative approach with a library study design, supported by data collection techniques in the form of documentation and observation of productive waqf management practices in madrasah. The results of the study indicate that productive waqf management in madrasah runs through three dominant functions, namely structured planning, the implementation of active agricultural and plantation business units that generate income, and routine supervision that directly involves institutional leaders. These three functions form a management cycle that is capable of making waqf a complementary financing source that gradually reduces madrasah dependence on the state budget. The determining factors for success rest on the consistency of planning and the commitment of leadership supervision, although the limited human resources of nazhir and the not yet productive nature of all waqf assets remain structural obstacles that still need to be addressed. These findings contribute to the achievement of SDG 4 on quality and inclusive education, because the productive waqf-based financing model enables madrasah to independently organize quality education without burdening students or fully relying on state subsidies.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between the level of parental attention and the provision of teacher reinforcement to the confidence of grade IV students of SDN 002 Ibul, Pucuk Rantau District. The correlational quantitative approach was applied with a saturated sample of 32 students. Data was collected through three sets of questionnaires that measured parental attention (15 items), teacher reinforcement (15 items), and student confidence (15 items) with a four-point Likert scale. Validity was tested using Pearson Product Moment correlation, reliability using Cronbach's Alpha, normality using Kolmogorov-Smirnov, partial hypothesis using bivariate Pearson correlation, and simultaneous hypothesis using multiple regression. All 45 instruments were declared valid (r > 0.349) and very reliable (Alpha = 0.966; 0.948; and 0.961). The normality test showed that parental attention (Sig. = 0.200) and teacher reinforcement (Sig. = 0.066) were distributed normally, while student confidence deviated from normality (Sig. = 0.013). Hypothesis testing yielded: H₀₁ rejected, meaning that there was a significant positive relationship between parental attention and student self-confidence (r = 0.772; p < 0.001); H₀₂ was rejected, meaning that there was a significant positive relationship between teacher reinforcement and student confidence (r = 0.397; p = 0.025); and H₀₃ is rejected, meaning that there is a significant simultaneous relationship of the two variables to student confidence (R² = 0.632; F = 24,882; p < 0.001), with parental attention as the dominant predictor (Beta = 0.717). These findings confirm that family involvement and strengthening practices in the classroom are important determinants of primary school students' confidence.

Abstract

Previous studies on patriotic values in literature and the characteristics of nationalism in elementary schools have been conducted separately. This study aims to describe the values of patriotism represented in the novel “Sang Wartawati Cilik” by Gamal Komandoko, the characteristics of nationalism in elementary schools, and the relationship between the two within the context of basic education. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a content analysis design using a sociology of literature approach. Data were collected through document study, text analysis, and supporting literature review. Data analysis was conducted using a dialectical approach, while data validity was ensured through source and theory triangulation. The findings reveal that the novel “Sang Wartawati Cilik” by Gamal Komandoko contains patriotic values such as love for the homeland, responsibility, empathy, cooperation, courage, willingness to sacrifice, and perseverance, as reflected through the characters’ actions and the storyline. Nationalism character in elementary schools is developed through habituation and school culture encompassing values of patriotism, responsibility, tolerance, social care, cooperation, politeness, and respect for rights and obligations. The value of patriotism in the novel is relevant to strengthening the character of nationalism in elementary schools, so that children's literature can be used as a means of forming students' character. To ensure these values are internalized optimally, all stakeholders need to collaborate through children’s literary literacy and the habituation of positive attitudes.

Abstract

A corporation can achieve growth by focusing on employee responsibilities due to the evolution in the spheres of commerce and technology within globalization’s Industry 4.0. Employees are expected to enhance their competencies within organizational contexts. An organization thrives when its members exceed ordinary duties delivering performance far beyond expectations. The present research aims to explore the effects of Quality of Work Life (QWL) and Workplace Empowerment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), with Organizational Commitment serving as a mediating construct in the hypothesized model. This investigation was undertaken encompassing the entirety of personnel at PT. Nuswantoro Manunggal Jati, totaling 85 individuals. This research is situated within a quantitative framework and deploys Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) for data analysis. The results establish that Quality of Work Life (QWL) and Workplace Empowerment contribute positively and significantly to Organizational Commitment, which then exerts a favorable effect on OCB. Furthermore, Organizational Commitment is confirmed to function as a mediating variable that potentiates the impact of QWL and Workplace Empowerment upon OCB. The study illuminates the critical role of Organizational Commitment as a conduit through which the quality of the work environment and empowerment practices translate into Organizational Citizenship Behavior, carrying meaningful implications for the advancement of human resource management and the enhancement of broader organizational performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the socio-political transformation of Myanmar society during the British colonial era by employing an evolutionary analysis approach. British colonial rule, spanning from the 19th century to the mid-20th century, not only altered Myanmar's traditional system of governance but also brought about significant changes to the society's social, economic, cultural, and political structures. The study seeks to analyze the transformation of Myanmar society from a kingdom-based system rooted in monarchical power and traditional hierarchies toward a more bureaucratic and integrated colonial administrative structure. The research methodology employed is a literature review utilizing a historical-critical approach, involving the analysis of various scholarly sources regarding Myanmar's socio-political development during the British colonial period. Evolutionary analysis indicates that Myanmar's socio-political transformation was not merely the result of a change in power, but a complex process of change involving the interplay of local traditions, colonial modernity, and global dynamics. The legacy of social and political structures formed during the colonial era profoundly influenced Myanmar's post-independence political development, including issues of national identity, inter-ethnic relations, and governmental stability. This study underscores that the British colonial era was a pivotal phase in shaping the socio-political configuration of modern Myanmar.

Abstract

Generation Z is widely perceived as digitally competent, yet extensive access to information does not necessarily translate into critical evaluation skills. This systematic literature review examines the digital literacy paradox—the gap between perceived and actual information literacy—and its implications for trust in scientific authority. Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, literature published between 2015 and 2026 was identified from six databases. Of 1,226 records, 20 studies met the inclusion criteria for thematic synthesis. The review identifies four findings: assumptions of innate digital competence lack consistent empirical support; perceived literacy often exceeds actual competence, reflecting the Dunning–Kruger effect and the illusion of knowledge from online search; platform-driven information practices encourage reliance on non-authoritative sources; and interventions based on critical digital literacy, lateral reading, and psychological inoculation remain underdeveloped in Indonesia. The review concludes that declining trust in science is fundamentally a metacognitive and epistemic challenge requiring educational approaches that foster intellectual humility.
