As-Sabiqun Journal is an interdisciplinary publication of original research and articles on Islamic Studies and Educational Sciences. This journal was published by Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini (PIAUD) STIT Palapa Nusantara Lombok - NTB which was published twice in a year (biannualy), March and October with a minimum of 5 articles. The journal aims to provide a forum for scholarly understanding of the field of education and plays an important role in promoting the process that accumulated knowledge, values, and skills. Scientific manuscript dealing with Islamic Studies and Educational Sciences topics are particularly welcome to be submitted. The journal encompasses research articles, original research report, and scientific reviews in education in any fields including: 1. Early Childhood Education Theory; 2. Early Childhood Education Learning Practice; 3. Early Childhood Development includes Religious and Moral, Cognitive, Language, Social-Emotional, Physical-Motoric, and Art Values; 4. PAUD Policy; 5. Parenting; 6. Teacher Education and Training; 7. Learning Strategy. Editorial Team invites academics, lecturers and researchers to contribute according to the scope above. Articles can be submitted online, by registering as a author (Online Submissions). Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through Peer Review Processes. This journal is an open access journal which means that all freely available content is used. Abstract

Education as an effort to form a generation that is intelligent and has good character. One of the good characters that needs to be formed in students is discipline. The education system that can shape student discipline is the Boarding School. Boarding schools are considered to be able to form discipline because students are guided and controlled directly by the dormitory supervisor who lives with the students in the dormitory. This study aims to find out the form of student discipline and the obstacles encountered in forming discipline at SMA Dar El-Iman Islamic Boarding School, Padang City. The method used is a qualitative research method with a type of field research (field research). Sources of data were obtained through in-depth interviews with hostel supervisors and students. To obtain the results of the interviews, the interview guide was used as a research instrument. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis technique is in the form of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The findings in this study are; The first form of discipline for Dar El-Iman Islamic Boarding School high school students includes: a) Discipline in worship, students are disciplined in doing the midnight prayer, sunnah fasting, halaqah tahsin tahfidz and muroja`ah Al Qur`an. But lack of discipline in doing congregational prayers. b) Time discipline, some students lack discipline in time. c) Discipline in learning and practice, students are very enthusiastic and disciplined in learning and practicing d) Discipline is clean, tidy, orderly and orderly, overall students are still not clean, neat, orderly and orderly. e) Discipline in guarding the heart, students are disciplined in guarding the heart, that is, it can be seen that students really care about speech, politeness, respect, motivating one another and being honest. Second, the obstacles faced in forming discipline are that students are less consistent in carrying out discipline, adjustments to changes in systems and policies, hard to find examples.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' self-confidence in Islamic Religious Education Learning in Elementary Schools. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 20 Kurao Pagang. The approach used in this study is qualitative research with a type of research, namely case study research. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects were grade III students at SD Negeri 20 Kurao Pagang and Islamic Religious Education Teachers. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the self-confidence of class III students at SD Negeri 20 Kurao Pagang is mostly optimal because it meets the criteria for indicators of self-confidence in PAI learning. Where, students believe in their own abilities, students are enthusiastic to ask questions and appear in front of the class during the learning process, and class III students at SD Negeri 2O Kurao Pagang are confident and speak calmly in expressing opinions when Islamic Religious Education learning activities take place.

Abstract

Manners are one form of Indonesian culture that is important to be preserved and upheld because it is an important element in socializing with others. This study aims to find out how teachers communicate students' feelings of love and need (moral loving/moral feeling) on the value of manners in the Qur'anic Tahfidz subject. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. Data sources were taken from five informants through in-depth interviews selected using purposive sampling techniques. The five informants included two Qur'anic Tahfidz teachers, one school principal and two students. To obtain research data, researchers use a set of interview guidelines and observation guidelines as research instruments. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed that there are two ways teachers instill Moral Loving/Moral Feeling for students for the value of manners, namely by setting an example and telling stories. The example in question is an example of behavior given by teachers through their daily behavior that must reflect the value of manners, both in terms of dressing, speaking, and behaving towards others. Meanwhile, the giving of stories is carried out by teachers by conveying Islamic stories in the time of the Prophet and Apostles that can motivate students so that there will be a sense of love and desire to be polite towards others.

Abstract

In the 21st century, there are many challenges faced by teachers and students in the world of education, especially in the learning aspect. Where the teacher serves as a facilitator for students in order to train students' critical thinking skills. While students are required to be able to hone their critical thinking skills so that they are able to deal with problems that occur in their lives, both in the present and in the future. Efforts that can be made by teachers in honing students' critical thinking skills are one of them by applying the PBL model. PBL is one model that teachers can use to help improve students' critical thinking skills. Padang 7 Public High School is a driving school that has implemented the PBL model, especially in PAI subjects in the material Faith in Qada and Qadar. This study aims to find out how the implementation of the PBL model on the material Faith in Qada and Qadar at SMA Negeri 7 Padang. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study type. The data sources for this study were Islamic Religious Education teachers, curriculum representatives and 5 students of class XII IPA 6 SMA Negeri 7 Padang. The instruments used were interview guidelines and observation guidelines. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. And for the data validity technique used is source and technique triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in the material Faith in Qada and Qadar can improve students' critical thinking skills as evidenced by the implementation of all indicators of critical thinking in the learning process and have fulfilled the PBL syntax, namely problem orientation towards students, organizing students, guiding individual and group investigations, developing and presenting work, analyzing and evaluating problem-solving processes.

Abstract

This study explores the use of applications as interactive learning media in Islamic Education (PAI) learning about zakat, infaq, and alms for elementary school students. The research was carried out using the Design and Development (D&D) approach, through a series of studies on the design, development and evaluation processes using instruments in the form of field documentation, surveys and questionnaires. through a series of studies using the ADDIE model consisting of analysis, design, implementation development and evaluation using instruments in the form of field documentation, surveys, and questionnaires. The results of data processing are carried out qualitatively and quantitatively and are made into several themes. The results of the study show that the ZIS share application by displaying audiovisuals, podcasts and interactive quizzes in it is able to make learning more varied and interesting for students. The majority of students feel happy when using the ZIS share application. This research is formulated in three points as follows: (1) What is the design of the ZIS share application for PAI learning regarding awareness of paying zakat, infaq and alms in elementary school?, (2) What is the effectiveness of using the ZIS share application?, (3) The following are the results of this study: (1) Validity was tested by asking two material experts to provide an assessment of the application product in terms of design, audio quality, grammar, suitability of the material, and navigation. The results show that the average rating for suitability of material and design is 100%, while for navigation is 85%, which indicates a very valid category. (2) Practicality is tested by asking students to provide an assessment and response after using the media. The results show that the average percentage of ratings for design, navigation, and material suitability is 80% and 87%. In conclusion, the ZIS share application is an interactive learning media that is effective and useful in increasing students’ awareness of zakat, infaq, and alms and being able to make PAI learning more interesting for elementary school students.

Abstract

The development of religious attitudes in early childhood is almost completely authoritative, which means that it will develop under the influence of factors from outside the child. One of the factors that influence the religious attitude of early childhood is the religious understanding possessed by the teacher. The purpose of this study was to find out the teacher's religious understanding and religious attitudes of children in IT Al-Washliyah Kindergarten, and to find out what obstacles were found in building children's attitude of religious inclusiveness in IT Al-Washliyah Kindergarten, Hamaparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency. The method used in this research is qualitative with data collection techniques carried out participant observation, in-depth interviews. All existing data were analyzed by means of data condensation, data display and verification stages. The findings in this study are that the teacher's religious understanding determines the religious attitude of children. The teacher's religious understanding at TK IT Al-Washliyah prioritizes humanist values and inclusiveness, children are given freedom of thought, carry out activities carried out by children in religious activities by respecting differences in the way friends worship, helping friends who are in trouble, being friendly to friends who have different understandings with him. The inclusive attitude that children have in religion is an explanation of children's openness to tolerance, being able to accept and interact with friends who have different understandings and cultures than children.

Abstract

The presence of internet network technology has become a new alternative in conveying information by connecting all existing computer devices so that information can be accessed more widely and without the time and place restrictions. Students are expected to be able to take part in comfortable learning and so educators are required to be professional and able to create creative learning. But the fact is that there are still few educators who use websites as learning media, especially PAI teachers. From the survey data, it was found that 62% of PAI teachers had never used the website as a learning medium. Therefore, this research is expected to help introduce the political example of the Prophet Muhammad to grade 5 elementary school students through the development of the POLARAS website (Politics Ala Rasulullah) which is used as a support to support interactive learning activities. The method used by researchers is the D&D method with a mixed methods research approach and then collaborated with a qualitative approach. The use of the POLARAS Website (Politics Ala Rasulullah) makes it easier for teachers to carry out learning in the classroom, students can also easily access the POLARAS Website (Politics Ala Rasulullah) to be able to study independently. Learning by using POLARAS Website media (Politics Ala Rasulullah) can increase learning motivation and create fun learning. This website has also met the needs and satisfaction of students in terms of accessibility, use, content, understanding, and a fun learning experience.

Abstract

The use of social media often causes a person to fall into matters relating to the honor of other people, where a person freely behaves which in the end can violate existing laws that have been established. Cases of defamation are often found for social users, it is necessary to take a religious approach through the hadith of the prophet as an anticipation of defamation with the aim of reducing the cases of defamation that are rife. How is the contextualization of hadith in anticipation of defamation on social media. A qualitative research method with the type of Library Research examines data sources from the book of Sunan at-Tirmidzi, Tuhfatul Aswadzi and related law formulations. Then analyze with the study of Ma'anil Hadith. The results of the study show that there is significant significance in terms of the quality of sanad and matan, and the quantity of at-Tirmidzi hadith on defamation on social media can be accepted as an antithesis to reduce cases of defamation on social media. Then the contextualization of hadith as an anticipation of defamation on social media is a person whose faith is perfect by not damaging people's honor either through speech, writing or any media.

Abstract

Religion is the condition of religious adherents in reaching and practicing religious recommendations in their life activities, belief in Allah SWT with teachings and the obligation to carry out worship for religion. This study aims to find out how the religious development of Muslim students at Don Bosco Padang High School. This research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. Data sources were taken from twelve informants through in-depth interviews selected using purposive sampling techniques. The twelve informants were one Islamic education teacher, one school principal and ten students. To obtain research data, researchers use a set of interview guidelines and observation guidelines as research instruments. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed that there are several forms of religious development activities for Muslim students carried out at Don Bosco Padang High School, namely praying before studying and after studying, congregational dhuhur prayers, cults, youth wirid and commemorating Islamic holidays.

Abstract

The background of this research is that many of the clothes worn by students in madrasas and outside madrasas are not in accordance with Islamic teachings. There are many reasons, ranging from the social environment to social media, which make these clothes a trend for students. Therefore it is necessary to have guidance from various parties so that students are accustomed to wearing clothes based on Islamic teachings. One of them is the teacher's strategy carried out in madrasas. The purpose of this study is the teacher's strategy for Aqidah Akhlak in getting used to the etiquette of dressing for class XI IPA 2 students at MAN Lima Puluh Kota. This study used descriptive qualitative research methods with research informants: madrasa heads, Aqidah Akhlak teachers, and students in class XI IPA 2. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the Akidah Akhlak teacher's strategy in familiarizing students with dress etiquette is: a) providing knowledge about Muslim dress etiquette, b) the teacher is a role model in dress, c) reprimand d) advice, e) giving sanctions.
