As-Sabiqun Journal is an interdisciplinary publication of original research and articles on Islamic Studies and Educational Sciences. This journal was published by Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini (PIAUD) STIT Palapa Nusantara Lombok - NTB which was published twice in a year (biannualy), March and October with a minimum of 5 articles. The journal aims to provide a forum for scholarly understanding of the field of education and plays an important role in promoting the process that accumulated knowledge, values, and skills. Scientific manuscript dealing with Islamic Studies and Educational Sciences topics are particularly welcome to be submitted. The journal encompasses research articles, original research report, and scientific reviews in education in any fields including: 1. Early Childhood Education Theory; 2. Early Childhood Education Learning Practice; 3. Early Childhood Development includes Religious and Moral, Cognitive, Language, Social-Emotional, Physical-Motoric, and Art Values; 4. PAUD Policy; 5. Abstract

Learning to speak Arabic, students are expected to be able to communicate well using Arabic in accordance with social and cultural developments. However, the lack of Arabic speaking skills at Nahdlatul Ulum Islamic boarding school is the basis of this research. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to apply the Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) method to improve Arabic speaking skills. This study employs quantitative techniques and a one-group pretest-posttest experimental-pre-experimental design. The research data were obtained from observation, interviews, oral tests, and documentation. A T-test was used to see the difference in scores before and after treatment. The findings of this study indicate an increase in Arabic speaking skills. The average score of students after being given treatment with the TBLT method was 71.74 higher than before being given treatment 44.61. The results of the paired sample t-test indicate a significance value of 0.00, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that a considerable influence is present. Further research with a more comprehensive design to test the effectiveness of the TBLT method in more depth.

Abstract

The Self Assessment System is a tax collection system where taxpayers are given the trust to calculate, calculate the taxes owed themselves and then pay them off and report them to the Tax Service Office where the taxpayer is registered. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Self Assessment System, tax audit, and tax law enforcement of Islamic Banks on tax revenue at the West Mataram Pratama Tax Service Office. This study used a saturated sampling technique by selecting 97 employee samples at the West Mataram Pratama Tax Service Office. This study used primary data from questionnaires filled out via Google Form and assessed using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used in this study used multiple linear regression model analysis with the help of the International Business Machines Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 25 program. The results of the study showed that partially the significance value of the Self Assessment System (0.815>0.05) and tax audit (0.224>0.05) did not have a significant effect on tax revenue at the West Mataram Pratama Tax Service Office. While the significance value of tax law enforcement of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05, which means that tax law enforcement has a significant effect on tax revenue at the West Mataram Pratama Tax Service Office. Simultaneously, the significance value of the Self Assessment System, tax audits, and tax law enforcement show a positive and significant influence on tax revenue at the West Mataram Pratama Tax Service Office with a significance value of less than 0.05 (0.000<0.005).

Abstract

As part of their product marketing strategy, MSMEs receive digital marketing training aimed at expanding market reach and increasing consumer interest in the goods supplied. The limited reach of SME marketing, which needs a broader reach in orders for its products to reach customers, is what drives this study. Training, mentorship, and the use of media, including digital marketing, are therefore required. This study sought to ascertain if digital marketing (X3), mentorship (X2), and training (X1) may impact the growth of small, medium, and very small enterprises (Y) selling halal food goods in Selaparang District, Mataram City. 600 persons make up the population of this quantitative study, and 240 respondents from small, medium, and micro companies that provide halal food goods in Selaparang District, Mataram City, were chosen as samples using the Slovin method. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 25 was used to process the questionnaires that were sent and interview the respondents in order to collect data. The study's findings show that UMKM and UMKM in Selaparang District, Mataram City, significantly impact the growth of halal food items through training, mentorship, and digital marketing, indicating that H4 is acceptable. H1 is rejected because training has a negligible and minor impact on MSMEs' growth, but H2 and H3 are accepted because digital marketing's development and application have a substantial impact on MSMEs' development.

Investment can also be said as a delay in the use of consumer goods for productive things in a certain period of time. Abstract

This study analyzes the comparison of English education systems in Indonesia and South Korea through a quantitative approach, focusing on three main aspects: curriculum, teaching methods, and learning outcomes. Data was collected through analysis of curriculum documents, international test scores (PISA, TOEFL iBT, EF EPI), national exam results (UN Indonesia and CSAT Korea), and structured questionnaires involving 800 students and 200 teachers from both countries. The results showed a significant difference in the integration of curriculum technology (χ² = 24.7; p < 0.001), where South Korea allocated 85% of curriculum content to digital platforms, while Indonesia only 35%. Teaching methods in Indonesia are still dominated by the grammar-translation approach (68% of teachers), while South Korea adopts task-based learning (89% of teachers) which is positively correlated with student motivation (r = 0.62; p < 0.01). South Korean students' learning outcomes are consistently superior, with an average EF EPI score of 611 compared to 492 in Indonesia (t = 8.34; p < 0.001), especially in speaking skills (∆ = 15.3 points). Regression analysis revealed that 45% of the variance in learning outcomes in South Korea was influenced by technology (β = 0.52; p < 0.001), while in Indonesia, teacher quality was the main predictor (β = 0.38; p < 0.05). These findings confirm that disparities in learning outcomes are not only due to curriculum differences, but also structural factors such as infrastructure gaps, teacher capacity, and access to technology. The research recommends increasing digital-based teacher training and equitable distribution of infrastructure in Indonesia, as well as reforming the hagwon system in South Korea to reduce social inequality. The implications of this study are evidence-based policy contributions for the development of inclusive and adaptive language education in the digital era.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many schools that implement the motto "Child Friendly" which is also inseparable from its goal of making students have good character. The purpose of this study is to find out how the motto of a child-friendly school in forming good character for these students. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 24 Medan. The theory used is Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection by keeping children away from violence and creating students who are responsible for each of their developments. The method used in this study is quantitative. The population in this study were all students of class IX of SMP Negeri 24 Medan totaling 328 students and the number of samples taken in this study was 10% of the number of students in class IX (328) which was 32 students. Sampling was done using random sampling technique. Data collection instruments in this study were questionnaires, observation and documentation. In this study, data analysis used quantitative statistical methods with product moment calculations. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the influence of the school motto "child-friendly" had a low effect of 15.13% on improving the character of class IX students of SMP Negeri 24 Medan. This is evidenced by the calculation of the correlation coefficient between variable x and variable y, it is known that the r-count value is 0.389. If this value is compared with the rtable value at a significance of 5% with n = 32, then the rcount is as large as the provisions, if the rcount value is greater than the rtable value (rcount>rtable) or 0.389>0.349 then the conclusion that can be drawn is that there is a low significant influence between the school motto "child friendly" on improving the character of class IX students at SMP Negeri 24 Medan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited number of studies on Arabic language learning for early childhood at the Raudhatul Athfal (RA) level. The purpose of this study is to explore Arabic language teaching methods in RA, with a specific focus on RA Al Akhyar in South Jakarta. The research employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. The research subjects were selected through purposive sampling. The chosen sample is Raudhatul Athfal Al Akhyar, located in East Cilandak, South Jakarta. Data were collected using observation and interview instruments. To understand teaching practices, data analysis was carried out using thematic techniques, involving data reduction and categorization based on the applied teaching methods, which were then interpreted. The results indicate that Arabic language learning at RA Al Akhyar uses a contextual and joyful approach, as reflected in the materials, methods, and media utilized. The teaching emphasizes multisensory and experiential learning approaches. For evaluation, authentic assessment is applied. The findings also reveal challenges, particularly the slow response of some students. It is concluded that students show better understanding when learning is delivered in an interactive and enjoyable manner. Although the current practice aligns with early childhood education principles, strengthening the curriculum and providing teacher training are still needed to enhance the effectiveness of Arabic language instruction at RA Al Akhyar. This study contributes to filling the gap in discussions on Arabic language learning for early childhood, particularly within the RA context

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the use of interactive digital media in Fiqh learning, despite its significant potential to enhance student comprehension in the digital era. The purpose of this research is to measure the effect of using the Quizizz application on students' understanding in Fiqh lessons. The method employed is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of 26 seventh-grade students from class VII A at MTs Nusantara Kota Probolinggo for the 2023–2024 academic year, selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through written tests administered before and after the treatment and analyzed using a paired sample t-test with SPSS version 20. The results indicated a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores, demonstrating that the use of Quizizz had a positive effect on students’ comprehension. These findings support constructivist learning theory and suggest that digital media can serve as an effective tool in religious education. The main conclusion of this study is that integrating technology into Fiqh learning significantly improves student understanding. The implications include theoretical contributions to the literature on digital-based religious education, as well as practical recommendations for teachers to optimize interactive media in classroom instruction. This study also opens opportunities for further research on the effectiveness of similar digital media in other subject areas.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of entrepreneurship education on the entrepreneurial talent of grade XII culinary arts students at SMKN 1 Jerowaru. Employing a quantitative research methodology characterized by associative causality, the research population consisted of all grade XII students in the culinary arts program. A probability sampling technique was utilized to select participants, and data were collected through structured questionnaires. Statistical regression analysis was performed using SPSS for Windows version 17 to assess the relationships among variables. The analysis revealed that the data followed a normal distribution, with a significance level of less than 0.05. The regression model established was Y = 1.105 X1 + 0.589, yielding a t-value of 6.579 and an R² value of approximately 0.653. These findings indicate that entrepreneurship education explains 65% of the variance in students' interest in entrepreneurship, suggesting that external factors account for the remaining 35%. The results underscore the significant influence of entrepreneurship education on enhancing business acumen among culinary arts students, indicating a high level of interest in entrepreneurial ventures. This study contributes to the existing literature by highlighting the critical role of educational interventions in fostering entrepreneurial skills, thereby offering implications for curriculum development aimed at reducing unemployment through enhanced entrepreneurial engagement.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenges faced by SD Negeri 023971 Binjai Barat, where the integration of learning media in classroom instruction has been notably limited. The primary aim of this research is to evaluate the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of Animaker-based learning media within this educational context. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) approach grounded in the ADDIE model—comprising Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation—the study systematically assessed the educational resource. Initial validation from material experts yielded a feasibility score of 71.66%, categorized as “Feasible.” Subsequent evaluations indicated a significant improvement, with the material expert score rising to 90%, classified as “Very Feasible.” Although media experts initially rated the media at 60% (“Less Appropriate”), their assessment dramatically increased to 93.33% (“Very Appropriate”) in the second round of validation, confirming the content's efficacy. Practitioners, specifically class IV teachers, evaluated the media's practicality at 89.41%, categorizing it as “Very Practical.” Furthermore, effectiveness was determined through a learner response questionnaire, achieving an average score of 90.77% (“Very Effective”). Pre-test and post-test analyses demonstrated an N-Gain value of 0.645, classified as “Effective,” indicating notable student learning outcomes. In conclusion, Animaker-based learning media is affirmed to be highly feasible, practical, and effective for enhancing educational experiences.
