Abstract

The quality of higher education serves as the primary foundation for developing competitive and adaptive human resources in the era of globalization. The External Quality Assurance System (EQAS) functions as an independent evaluation mechanism designed to objectively verify the attainment of quality standards through accreditation processes. This study aims to describe the concept and characteristics of EQAS, analyze the role of accreditation as its primary instrument, and identify the challenges of its implementation in the Merdeka Belajar era. The method employed is qualitative research with a library research approach, involving systematic collection and analysis of data drawn from official regulations, scientific journals, and relevant policy documents. The findings reveal that EQAS is implemented through accreditation by independent institutions such as BAN-PT and LAM, based on the National Higher Education Standards. Accreditation carries four strategic functions: evaluative, validative of the internal quality assurance system, public accountability, and a driver of continuous improvement. Nevertheless, EQAS implementation continues to face challenges including weak data governance, insufficient quality culture, regulatory adaptation complexity, and institutional capacity disparities. Strengthening EQAS requires synergy among human resource development, quality system digitalization, and sustained multi-stakeholder collaboration. This study is expected to provide a conceptual contribution to the development of educational quality assurance policies and practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

Islamic educational institutions in remote areas face complex challenges in human resource management that directly affect institutional sustainability. This study aims to analyze human resource management (HRM) strategies in strengthening organizational resilience at MTS Hidayaturrahman Sanga-Sanga, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, in which data were collected through semi-structured interviews with the school principal, teachers, administrative staff, and parents of students, complemented by observation and document analysis. Data analysis followed the interactive model developed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation and member checking to guarantee the credibility of research findings. The findings reveal that a series of HRM strategies—including continuous professional development, academic supervision, competency-based task assignment, and active teacher participation in subject teacher working groups (MGMP)—have significantly contributed to the institution's stability and adaptive capacity. These strategies collectively form a stronger institutional foundation capable of withstanding various external pressures and internal limitations. However, a shortage of teachers with qualifications aligned to their subject areas, limited digital literacy among some educators, inadequate supporting facilities, and disproportionate workloads remain structural barriers requiring systematic and well-planned intervention. This study recommends strengthening digital-based training programs, improving teacher academic qualifications, and optimizing foundation support as strategic steps toward building sustainable organizational resilience in Islamic junior secondary schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine: (1) the level of self-esteem among students who use second Instagram accounts, (2) the level of social anxiety among students who use second Instagram accounts, and (3) the relationship between self-esteem and social anxiety among students who use second Instagram accounts. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The participants consisted of 80 active students from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at Sanata Dharma University, selected through purposive sampling with the criterion of being active users of second Instagram accounts. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test. The validity test showed that 47 of 48 self-esteem items were valid, while 32 of 44 social anxiety items were valid. The reliability coefficients were α = 0.733 for self-esteem and α = 0.736 for social anxiety. The results showed that self-esteem was categorized as high, while social anxiety was categorized as moderate. Furthermore, there was a significant negative relationship between self-esteem and social anxiety, with a correlation coefficient of -0.344 and p < 0.002. Higher self-esteem was associated with lower social anxiety among students who use second Instagram accounts. The findings indicate that psychological factors related to media use should receive attention because students with positive self-evaluations tend to experience lower anxiety in interactions, communication, and self-expression within online and offline environments during their academic and development processes.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has transformed marketing communication patterns from conventional media into digital media, one of which is the live streaming feature on the TikTok platform. This feature allows business actors to interact directly with consumers in real-time; however, not all live streaming activities are able to provide an optimal impact on consumer purchase intention, thus requiring an in-depth study of the communication strategies applied. This study aims to identify and analyze the marketing communication strategy through TikTok live streaming in increasing consumer purchase intention at Brand Leody. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data were collected through participant observation of the @leody.id TikTok account, in-depth interviews with the host and consumers, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with an analytical framework based on the concepts of interactive, educational, and persuasive communication. The results show that Brand Leody applies interactive communication through quick responses to comments and spontaneous question-and-answer sessions that build emotional closeness with consumers; educational communication through detailed product explanations, live demonstrations, and verifiable information transparency; and persuasive communication through a combination of authentic personal communication style, convincing product explanations, and exclusive promotional offers during live sessions. This study found that consumer trust built through authentic communication has an influence as strong as price incentives in driving purchase intention. It can be concluded that the integrated application of interactive, educational, and persuasive communication strategies through TikTok live streaming plays a significant role in building trust, closeness, and consumer purchase intention toward Brand Leody, and may serve as a reference for local fashion business actors in optimizing their digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze learning strategies and approaches that can enhance the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning. A qualitative approach with a library research method was employed. Data were collected by reviewing relevant scholarly sources, including books, journal articles, conference proceedings, and other academic documents, and were subsequently analyzed using content analysis. The findings indicate that active, contextual, problem-based, project-based, and engaging learning strategies can encourage greater student involvement in the learning process. In addition, contextual, humanistic, scientific, inquiry-based, experiential, and rational approaches can contribute to improving students’ learning motivation, understanding of the subject matter, and critical thinking skills. However, the effectiveness of IRE learning is not determined solely by the strategies and approaches employed. It is also influenced by teachers’ competencies, the availability of educational facilities and resources, the integration of technology, and support from both school and family environments. Therefore, teachers need to carefully select and combine appropriate learning strategies and approaches based on learning objectives, the characteristics of the subject matter, and students’ needs. Such considerations are essential for creating effective and meaningful IRE learning experiences that contribute to students’ character development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in increasing students' Human Rights (HAM) awareness in Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) subjects. The research method used is library research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through searching reputable scientific literature, including journal articles, textbooks, and related regulatory documents. The results of the analysis indicate that conventional Civics learning which is theoretical contributes to low social sensitivity and high rates of bullying in schools. The PBL model is proven effective in overcoming these obstacles by exposing students to dilemmas and real case studies of human rights violations. Through the PBL syntax, students are encouraged to think critically, discuss in groups, and formulate solutions to human rights issues. This study concludes that the implementation of PBL in Civics education not only improves students' cognitive understanding, but also reconstructs civic disposition based on values of tolerance and respect for human rights.
