Abstract

The aspect of independence is closely related to practical life-based learning. Practical life-based learning was first introduced by Maria Montessori. Maria Montessori explained that one of the characteristics of children ready to face the next life is the independence of each child through practical life activities. Practical life activities are a series of learning activities that are carried out directly to help children become more prepared for the next life. Practical life activities emphasize simple things that children do every day. Some of the reasons why children are not independent and always depend on adults include children's lack of confidence in their ability to complete assigned tasks, which causes children to always expect help from adults. Therefore, the researcher is interested in practicing practical life activities from Maria Montessori, using a learning medium, namely a Quiet Book. The use of appropriate learning media in learning activities is one way to make learning fun. The results of the assessment by the material expert with an overall score of 94.5%. Based on the table according to Widoyoko: 2022 that the results of the material expert assessment are in the “Very Feasible” category, which lies in the range of 83% -100%. The results of the assessment by media experts with an overall score of 98.4%. Based on the table according to Widoyoko: 2022 that the results of the material expert assessment are included in the “very feasible” category, which lies in the range of 83% -100%.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations made by researchers on students at Kindergarten Rijalul Hamdi sub-district. Galang, found that some students found it difficult and confused to understand the concept of numbers and basic calculations. Researchers found that this happened because teachers did not use varied and interesting teaching aids when teaching arithmetic concepts. As a result, children are less interested in learning. This causes the development of the cognitive aspects of young students, especially the cognitive aspects of arithmetic, which are still not well developed. This research aims to determine the development of smart robot media (ROPIN) in improving the arithmetic intelligence of children aged 5-6 years at Rijalul Hamdi Kindergarten. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) research. This research uses the ADDIE development model. The instrument used to collect data is a questionnaire given to validators, namely material expert validators and media expert validators. Abstract

This research is based on the low level of mastery of English vocabulary among children at RA Nur Aisyah. It can be seen that mastery of English vocabulary is still classified as using methods that are not yet interesting so that children feel bored and end up asking less in English. These limited abilities mean that children are also limited in their vocabulary. To help children learn to master English vocabulary in a fun way, it is necessary to have media that can stimulate children. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of using the snakes and ladders game media on the mastery of English vocabulary in group A children at RA Nur Aisyah. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method with a pre-experimental research design type one group pretest-posttest design. In this study the population was all children in RA Nur Aisyah District. Medan Johor with 57 people. The research sample was group A, the number of students was 20 children. The average result of the pretest was 4.5. After the pretest was carried out, treatment was given in the form of using the snakes and ladders game media on children's English vocabulary mastery. During the treatment, there was an improvement which was visible from the posttest results, where the average was 9.75. To test significance by comparing t0 (“t” count) with tt (“t” table). According to the research results, the value of tcount = 2.231 > 1.729, and dk = (n-1) = (20-1) = 19 and the level is α + 0.05 so it can be concluded that the value of Tcount > Ttable (2.231) (1.729) is obtained. hypothesis H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So the alternative hypothesis (ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (h0) is rejected. So it can be concluded that the snake and ladder game media is effective in mastering English vocabulary
