Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of land use on groundwater quality in Payakumbuh City. A quantitative approach was employed using secondary data from 30 well points located in Payakumbuh City and several areas in Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The analytical methods used include descriptive analysis, spatial analysis, and non-parametric statistical analysis. The results indicate that land use in 2024 does not have a statistically significant effect on groundwater quality based on the Kruskal-Wallis test, except for the Dissolved Oxygen (DO) parameter, which shows a significant influence with an H value of 7.85. Other parameters, such as pH (H = 3.38), Electrical Conductivity (DHL) (H = 3.04), and turbidity (H = 0.003), do not exhibit significant differences. Descriptively, residential areas show a tendency toward decreased groundwater quality compared to other land use types. Therefore, it can be concluded that certain land uses, such as residential areas, may influence groundwater quality, particularly in relation to dissolved oxygen levels (DO).

Abstract

This research aims to describe the influence of the traditional game Egrang Batok on the gross motor development of children aged 4-5 years at TK Kartika IX-10 C. The background of this study is based on the low gross motor skills of children in terms of balance, coordination, and muscle strength, which are evident when children engage in physical activities such as walking straight, jumping, or throwing. Traditional games, especially Egrang Batok, are considered an enjoyable and effective medium for learning to stimulate children's gross motor development. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques were carried out through direct observation of children's activities while playing Egrang Batok, documentation, and interviews with class teachers. The research results indicate that the traditional game Egrang Batok has a positive effect on the gross motor development of children. Children appear to be more balanced in walking, more confident in moving, and able to coordinate their hand and foot movements better. In addition, this game also increases children's participation in group activities and strengthens their social skills. In other words, the Egrang Batok game not only trains physical aspects but also supports the formation of children's character. Based on these findings, it is recommended that early childhood educators integrate traditional games like Egrang Batok into daily learning activities to optimally support gross motor development and instill local cultural values from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of readiness of elementary school teachers in planning, implementing, and evaluating differentiated learning. This type of research is quantitative research with a survey approach, where the data collection technique uses a questionnaire, which will then be analyzed descriptively. The results of the study show that the mean value of the indicator for mapping students' learning needs in the learning planning section is 3.51 (High), meaning that teachers have a good understanding of differentiated learning planning. The indicator for the learning implementation process is in the "Sufficient" category with a mean value of 3.29, meaning that teachers are quite ready to implement differentiated learning even though the implementation experiences several obstacles. Meanwhile, the learning evaluation indicator is in the "High" category with a mean value of 3.64, meaning that teachers have a good understanding of strategies in evaluating differentiated learning. Based on these three indicators, it is known that the level of teacher readiness in differentiated learning is in the "High" category with an average value of 3.48, meaning that a teacher has a good understanding of the concept, strategy, and application of differentiated learning in elementary school. These findings indicate that the majority of elementary school teachers in Kemiri District understand the application of differentiated learning, but there is still a need for increased training, resources, and policy support within the school.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental right for every individual, including children with special needs (CWSN). In an effort to realize an equitable and child-friendly education system, the principle of Education for All (EFA) serves as both a global and national foundation for the implementation of inclusive education in Indonesia. As an initial level of formal education, elementary schools hold a strategic role in implementing inclusive education to ensure that all students, including CWSN, receive quality and equitable educational services. However, the implementation of inclusive education in elementary schools still faces various challenges, including limited facilities and infrastructure, teacher competencies, adaptive curricula, and social stigma toward CWSN. This study aims to analyze the role of school principals through the policies they adopt in addressing issues related to CWSN within the Education for All system through inclusive education in elementary schools. The method used is a literature review by examining various academic publications from the past ten years. The results of the review show that school principals have a central role in formulating policies such as initial assessment, provision of accessibility facilities, development of adaptive curricula, teacher training, and fostering an inclusive school culture. In addition, collaboration between school principals, teachers, parents, and the community is key to the successful implementation of inclusive education. This study recommends strengthening inclusive leadership among school principals based on humanistic values and the principles of social justice in managing basic education services for CWSN.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology in the Society 5.0 Era demands that educational institutions, including elementary schools, transform into adaptive, innovative, and excellent institutions. Elementary schools hold a strategic role in preparing a generation that is not only knowledgeable but also possesses strong character, digital literacy, and 21st-century skills. This study aims to analyze the concepts, strategies, and challenges faced by elementary schools in realizing adaptive, innovative, and excellent educational institutions in the Society 5.0 Era. The method used is a literature review by examining various relevant academic literatures from the past ten years. The results of the study indicate that adaptive schools are characterized by the institution's ability to respond to social dynamics and technological developments through flexible management policies, digital-based curricula, and technology-based learning. Innovation in elementary schools becomes the key to improving the quality of educational services, including the development of digital learning methods, ICT-based student services, and strengthening character education. Excellent schools are measured not only through academic achievements but also by students' digital competence, character, and the transformative leadership of school principals. This transformation requires collaborative support from parents, the community, and strategic partnerships among educational stakeholders.
