Abstract

This study was motivated by the low English learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 064973 Bhayangkara, caused by monotonous teaching, limited media, and low student engagement. The aim was to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by flash card media on students’ English learning outcomes. The research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a nonequivalent control group design. A total of 43 students participated, divided into experimental (class VA) and control (class VB) groups. Instruments included multiple-choice tests, observation sheets, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an independent sample t-test. Results showed that the average post-test score of the experimental class was 78.33, higher than the control class at 62.05. A significance value of < 0.001 indicates a significant effect of the PBL model assisted by flash card on students’ learning outcomes. In conclusion, the model is effective in improving elementary students’ English achievement, especially in the topic Parts of Our Body that Work Together.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Elementary students often struggle with composing procedural texts, particularly in organizing steps in a coherent and logical order. This study investigates whether the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach can enhance the procedural text writing abilities of fourth-grade students at MI Ma’arif Ketunggeng. Employing a quantitative approach with a One Group Pre-test–Post-test design, the research involved 33 students. Data collection was conducted through writing tests administered before and after the PjBL intervention. Results revealed a significant increase in average scores, from 62 in the pre-test to 82 in the post-test. This improvement demonstrates that implementing PjBL positively influences students’ procedural writing skills. The approach fosters active engagement by involving students in hands-on projects tied to real-life contexts. These findings highlight PjBL as an effective teaching strategy for Indonesian language instruction, particularly in developing procedural writing skills. It is recommended that educators incorporate project-based learning to provide meaningful, innovative writing experiences for students. Keywords: writing proficiency, Project-Based Learning, elementary education, procedural text writing ABSTRAK Keterampilan menulis teks prosedur masih menjadi tantangan bagi peserta didik sekolah dasar, khususnya dalam menyusun langkah-langkah secara sistematis dan logis. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini yaitu menilai efektivitas penggunaan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan menulis teks prosedur peserta didik kelas IV MI Ma’arif Ketunggeng. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pre-test Post-test, yang melibatkan 33 orang peserta didik sebagai subjek penelitian. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes menulis teks prosedur yang dilakukan sebelum dan setelah pelaksanaan model Project Based Learning (PjBL). Nilai siswa meningkat dari 62 pada pre-test menjadi 82 pada post-test. Hasil peningkatan tersebut mengindikasikan bahwasanya penerapan model Project Based Learning berdampak positif pada keahlian menulis para siswa. Model ini mendorong para siswa berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran melalui proyek nyata yang yang berkaitan dengan aktivitas sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penggunaan model (PjBL) memberikan hasil yang efektif dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, terutama dalam materi menulis teks prosedur. Guru disarankan untuk menggunakan pembelajaran yang berbasis proyek sebagai metode inovatif dan signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis peserta didik. Abstract

Literasi budaya dan kewarganegaraan merupakan fondasi penting dalam pendidikan yang berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter siswa. Melalui pemahaman terhadap nilai-nilai budaya serta kesadaran akan hak dan tanggung jawab sebagai warga negara, siswa diharapkan mampu menjadi individu yang aktif, toleran, dan bertanggung jawab dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. SDK Warukia, sebagai lembaga pendidikan dasar di wilayah Nusa Tenggara Timur, menerapkan berbagai strategi untuk meningkatkan literasi budaya dan kewarganegaraan secara terintegrasi. Strategi tersebut meliputi pengembangan kurikulum berbasis muatan lokal, pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang menampilkan budaya daerah, pemanfaatan sumber belajar yang relevan dengan kearifan lokal, serta proyek kolaboratif yang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam mengamati dan mendokumentasikan budaya sekitar. Studi kasus pelaksanaan strategi ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan tersebut memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap pembentukan sikap siswa, seperti meningkatnya rasa toleransi, solidaritas, dan rasa cinta terhadap budaya sendiri. Hasil implementasi juga menunjukkan keterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan sosial di lingkungan sekolah dan komunitas setempat. Artikel ini merekomendasikan agar strategi serupa diadaptasi oleh sekolah lain untuk memperkuat karakter dan identitas siswa sejak usia dini. Dengan menanamkan literasi budaya dan kewarganegaraan sejak dini, pendidikan diharapkan mampu menghasilkan generasi yang tidak hanya cerdas secara akademik, tetapi juga bijak dalam bersikap dan berperan aktif di tengah masyarakat majemuk Indonesia.

Abstract

This classroom action research was conducted to improve narrative writing skills among fourth-grade students in Class IV D at SDS IT Dar El Iman. Initial observations indicated that students faced difficulties in generating ideas, had limited vocabulary, and struggled to produce engaging narrative texts. To address these issues, the Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) was implemented as an instructional strategy. The study employed both qualitative and quantitative approaches and was carried out over two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through tests and non-test instruments, with participants including the classroom teacher as an observer, the researcher as the instructor, and 26 fourth-grade students. The findings revealed a consistent improvement in students’ narrative writing skills from the first to the second cycle. The evaluation of the teaching module increased from 87.50% (Good) to 100% (Very Good). Teacher activity observations rose from 87.25% to 97.91%, while student engagement improved from 77.08% to 95.83%. These results demonstrate that the application of PWIM effectively enhances students' ability to write narrative texts.

Abstract

The background that drives this research is the impact of globalization. One of the negative impacts in the world of education includes the rise of bullying, brawls between students and cases of sexual abuse against children which are a weakness of the nation's character. in the formation of Pancasila student profiles. This study used a qualitative research type, the informants of this research were school principals, driving teachers, and class VI students at SD Negeri 1 Montongsari Kendal using interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion and verification. The results of this study are that SD Negeri 1 Montongsari Kendal has carried out various kinds of habituation in forming the profile of Pancasila students. The habituation carried out is adjusted to the six main characteristics of the Pancasila student profile, including: Faith, piety to God Almighty and noble character; global diversity; worked together; independent; critical reasoning; and creativity, the six main characteristics are interrelated with one another so as to form characters who practice Pancasila values in their daily lives. The application of habituation is carried out through programs that have been designed before the new school year begins. The habituation program is divided into programmed habituation, routine habituation and spontaneous habituation. Habituation that is carried out routinely also has a good impact on character as a Pancasila student. But even so, there are some students whose character is still not good. This is because there are still many obstacles experienced by teachers. In addition to obstacles, there are also many supporting factors in implementing habituation in forming a Pancasila student profile.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah Reseach and Development. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui validitas dan kepraktisan bahan ajar e-modul digital berbasis flipbook pada materi sistem ekskresi kelas XI. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Makassar dengan sampel terpilih kelas XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Makassar. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan menggunakan angket penilaian validitas dan kepraktisan. Data yang dikumpulkan yaitu data mengenai validitas dan kepraktisan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Hasil analisis validitas menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar e-modul digital berbasis flipbook pada materi sistem ekskresi kelas XI yang dikembangkan meperoleh nilai 0.9 yang berada pada kategori sangat valid. Sedangkan hasi analisis kepraktisan dari guru memperoleh nilai 87% yang berada pada rentang 80% < P < 100% dengan dengan kategori sangat praktis dan pada hasil analisis angket peserta didik diperoleh nilai 84% yan berada pada rentang 80% < P < 100% dengan kategori sangat praktis sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar e-modul berbasis flipbook pada sistem ekskresi kelas XII valid dan sangat praktis.

Abstract

Development of Interactive Wordwall Media on Students' Critical Thinking Skills in Science Subject, Grade IV SDN Babakanjati. Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD), 2025. The purpose of this study is to develop interactive wordwall media and also to determine the effectiveness of interactive wordwall media seen from whether there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills after using interactive wordwall media. This study was conducted in grade IV SDN Babakanjati with a sample of 20 students. The research method is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall design which has been simplified by Prof. Dr. Nana Syaodih Sukmadinata (2010), the stages passed include: (1) Preliminary Study which includes literature study and field survey; (2) Media Development which includes needs analysis, media design and expert validation, limited trials conducted at SDN Karangmangu with a sample of 15 students, extensive trials conducted at SDN Karangsari with a sample of IV A 20 students and IV B 21 students; (3) Effectiveness Test which includes pretest, treatment, posttest, and final media. After implementation, there are results before and after implementation where the results show that the Pretest results have an average value of 54.1 and the Posttest results have an average value of 83.75. After being given treatment and shows that the Sig. value (2-tailed) = 0.000 <0.05. This means that there is an increase before and after using interactive wordwall media. And the effectiveness of the media is known based on the N Gain test which obtained a value of 66.57% in the fairly effective category.

Abstract

Learning media is one of the tools used by teachers in the learning process. Currently, the use of printed books has not been maximized and the student worksheets used have not met the component elements of a student worksheet, such as the lack of inclusion of learning achievements, subject materials, and bibliographies. This research aims to produce electronic student worksheets based on discovery learning on the digestive system material phase F SMA/MA that is valid and practical. This research is a development research using a 4D model which includes 4 stages, namely the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages, but at the dissemination stage it is not carried out. The research instruments were in the form of validity and practicality questionnaires, validity tests were conducted by 3 lecturers, and practicality tests were carried out by 1 biology teacher and 35 students of SMA Negeri 16 Padang. The results of data analysis on the validity test of electronic student work institutions by validators obtained a result of 84.48% with very valid criteria. The results of the practicality test by teachers were obtained a score of 82.66% with very practical criteria, and the practicality test conducted by students was obtained a score of 88.88% with very practical criteria. It can be concluded that the interactive electronic education worksheet on the digestive system material phase F SMA/MA is very valid and very practical.

Abstract

The problems in this research is the low level of activity and critical thinking skills which result in low learning outcomes in the content of IPAS. The purpose of this research is to describe teacher activities, analyze the improvement of student activities, critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes. This research used Classroom Action Research which was carried out in 4 meetings. The subject of this research is 24 students in grade III of SDN Pangeran 1 Banjarmasin, in semester II of the 2024/2025 school year. The results of the research showed that the teacher's activities at meeting 4 had been carried out with the criteria of "Very Good". Student activity at meeting 4 increased with the "Very Active" criterion. The critical thinking skills at meeting 4 increased with the criteria of "Highly Skilled". The learning outcomes of students in the cognitive aspect classically at meeting 4 became 92% complete. The learning outcomes of the affective aspect classically at meeting 4 became 96%. The learning outcomes of the psychomotor aspect classically at meeting 4 became 88%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of cultural literacy through traditional dance in SBdP (Art, Culture, and Craft) learning at SDN Palebon 01 Semarang. The focus of this study is to explore how cultural literacy, particularly in traditional dance, is implemented in SBdP lessons at SDN Palebon 01 Semarang. The objective of this research is to find out how traditional dance is taught in SBdP subjects in Grade 5 at SDN Palebon 01 Semarang. This study uses a qualitative research approach with a descriptive method. The research was conducted at SDN Palebon 01 Semarang. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that cultural literacy through traditional dance in SBdP learning is still lacking. Students are unable to understand traditional dance lessons in depth. They do not receive projects or assessments related to traditional dance in SBdP, resulting in students only recognizing the names of traditional dances and their regions of origin. This condition is mainly due to the teacher rarely teaching traditional dance, which stems from a lack of interest or competence in the subject. Based on these findings, the suggested recommendation is: if a teacher feels less competent in teaching dance, it would be beneficial for them to study dance through books or other available resources. In addition, teachers are encouraged to develop well-structured learning media and tools to support their delivery of the material in class. This will enable teachers to conduct assessments through traditional dance activities in SBdP lessons for Grade 5 students at SDN Palebon 01 Semarang.
