Abstract

This research utilized a descriptive qualitative design aimed at uncovering how ice breaking strategies were executed within classroom learning and how they affected students’ focus and engagement. Conducted in the third grade of UPTD SDN Pejagan 1 Bangkalan during the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, the study involved the class teacher and students. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, offering a holistic depiction of ice breaking practices. The analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman interactive framework encompassing data reduction, display, and interpretation. The study found that ice breaking had yet to be consistently practiced due to the teacher’s limited awareness of activity types appropriate for young learners, though both teacher and students showed enthusiasm for its application. Students reported feeling more focused and enthusiastic after participating in refreshing activities such as simple games, motivational claps, or light stretching exercises. This study concludes that ice breaking has great potential as a learning strategy to enhance students’ concentration and engagement while creating a more enjoyable and interactive learning atmosphere in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Equivalency Education Program within Community Learning Activity Centers (PKBM - Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat) through the perspective of Talcott Parsons' Structural Functionalism Theory. Employing a descriptive qualitative research method with a literature review data collection technique, this study examines data from various relevant sources since 2020. The results of the analysis indicate that PKBMs function as a crucial subsystem in maintaining the equilibrium of the social system, particularly in addressing issues of school dropouts and disparities in educational access. The Equivalency Programs (Package A, B, and C) within PKBMs fulfill the four functional imperatives within Parsons' AGIL framework (Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, and Latency). Adaptation is realized through adjustments to fill educational access gaps for vulnerable populations and empower uncertified human resources. Goal Attainment is achieved by reducing the dropout rate and providing inclusive non-formal education services. Integration functions as an instrument for unifying marginalized groups through the recognition of equivalency certificates and the strengthening of social solidarity. Meanwhile, Latency seeks to maintain system stability by revitalizing the spirit of learning and reproducing socio-cultural values. The total number of PKBM equivalency education institutions in Indonesia is 25,795.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of acculturation between Islamic values and Javanese traditional beliefs (Kejawen) that occurs in Mojopuro Village, Jatiroto District, Wonogiri Regency. The research focuses on exploring the forms, supporting factors, and social-spiritual values emerging from the integration of religion and culture. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with religious and cultural leaders as well as community members, and documentation of socio-religious activities. The findings reveal that the Mojopuro community has successfully integrated Islamic values into Kejawen traditions without creating theological or social conflicts. Local rituals such as selametan, nyadran, and ruwahan continue to be practiced, now enriched with Islamic elements such as the recitation of Yasin and tahlil prayers. Religious leaders play a significant role in this harmonization process through cultural da’wah that adapts Islamic teachings to local traditions. This acculturation fosters values of togetherness, tolerance, mutual cooperation, and respect for ancestors, thereby strengthening social cohesion. The study concludes that Islam can dynamically engage with local culture without losing its essence and contributes to developing a culturally grounded model of Islamic guidance and counseling.

Abstract

This research is motivated by learning which is dominated by smart students in class, another problem found is when students are asked to speak in front of the class and share experiences, ideas, and ideas students tend to be shy, less expressive, confused about what to do. convey. The solution to this problem is the use of the Role Playing method. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Role Playing method on the speaking skills of students in class II-B SDN 013 Pasir Kaliki. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Based on the analysis of performance test scores there was an increase in students' speaking skills. The results of the research on student activities experienced an increase from cycle I obtaining a percentage of 72.20% in the medium category and in cycle II obtaining a percentage of 86.10% in the high category. The ability to speak in cycle I obtained a percentage of 40% in the low category and increased to 80% in the high category. Based on the problems that have been described, it can be said that the application of the Role Playing method can improve the speaking skills of class II students at SDN 013 Pasir Kaliki.

Abstract

Teachers act as role models and central figures for their students. Meanwhile, the wave of globalization is rapidly spreading, particularly among children. This study aims to explore how teacher competencies are implemented during the teaching and learning process in elementary schools. The research took place on Friday, June 14, 2024, at SD N Guwosari, located in Kembanggede, Guwosari, Pajangan, Bantul, DI Yogyakarta. The focus of this study is to highlight the essential role of teacher competence in classroom activities. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied, with data analysis following the Miles and Huberman model, which includes: (1) data collection, (2) data display, (3) data reduction, and (4) verification or conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that teacher competence holds a significant influence on the effectiveness of teaching and learning processes in elementary schools.

Abstract

study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Quizizz media on fourth-grade students’ learning outcomes in Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS) at SDN Tidung. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The experimental class was taught using the PBL model with Quizizz media, while the control class used conventional learning methods. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments and analyzed using the Mann–Whitney U test at a 0.05 significance level. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class was 79.40 with 90% mastery, while the control class scored 63.40 with 30% mastery. The statistical test obtained an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. These findings suggest that the PBL model assisted by Quizizz media positively influences students’ learning outcomes by creating an active, interactive, and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Therefore, the combination of PBL and Quizizz is effective in improving IPAS learning outcomes and can serve as an innovative learning alternative in elementary education.

Abstract

This article explores the significant roles of cognitive and humanistic psychology in the learning process. Cognitive psychology emphasizes how learners process information, construct knowledge, and develop critical thinking skills through mental stages described by theorists such as Piaget, Bruner, and Gagné. Meanwhile, humanistic psychology focuses on the holistic development of human potential by placing needs, intrinsic motivation, and self-actualization at the core of education. Using a library research approach, this study finds that both theories complement each other: cognitive psychology enhances learners’ intellectual abilities, while humanistic psychology nurtures emotional and social growth. The integration of both approaches leads to a more meaningful, effective, and human-centered learning process, where teachers act as facilitators who help students understand themselves and their surroundings.

Abstract

At this time, the independent curriculum emphasizes that there needs to be the best service that can facilitate all the needs of students. This prompted SDN 195 Isola to agree to group students based on their needs in one class. This drives class I C at SDN 195 Isola to have a higher grade of need at their level. Teachers need to provide a higher level of challenge, so students feel challenged in each lesson. This study aims to investigate the effect of Canva-based interactive multimedia on students' ability to think critically mathematically in the subject of mathematics elements of data analysis. Researchers used the Classroom Action Research method with the Kemmis and McTaggart designs. The students involved in the current research were first graders at SDN 195 Isola, with 29 students. The material used is data material using pictograms and scales. The results of the study show that the use of Canva-based interactive multimedia has a significant effect on improving mathematical critical thinking skills. According to John Butterworth, the increase in student learning outcomes can be seen from the results measured by using an instrument test to test students' mathematical critical thinking skills using critical thinking indicators, namely analysis, evaluation, and further arguments. The instrument is given before the action, which results in the average value of this cycle getting a value of 41. Then the same test instrument is given after implementing the students' actions from this posttest, getting an average value of 78.70.

Abstract

Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) merupakan merupakan salah satu program unggulan inisiatif unggulan presiden prabowo subianto untuk mengatasi masalah gizi serta meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia dengan sasaran anak-anak dan ibu hamil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis permasalahan program MBG di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur dari 13 artikel dan 4 portal berita online. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan program terbukti memberikan dampak positif, seperti peningkatan kehadiran siswa, motivasi belajar, serta perbaikan kesehatan yang berkontribusi pada penurunan angka stunting. Selain itu, program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) juga membawa manfaat ekonomi bagi masyarakat melalui pemberdayaan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM), koperasi, dan produsen pangan lokal. Namun, pelaksanaan program MBG masih menghadapi berbagai permasalahan, antara lain ketidaksesuaian menu dengan standar gizi, rendahnya variasi menu, keterbatasan infrastruktur, serta kasus makanan tidak layak konsumsi. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya evaluasi berkelanjutan dari pemerintah serta perbaikan dari dapur MBG, dan pemerataan program MBG termasuk daerah 3T.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Baamboozle terhadap minat belajar matematika peserta didik kelas XI di MA Al Muttaqin Jayapura. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group post-test only. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MA Al Muttaqin Jayapura, kemudian penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel total. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dengan bentuk skala Likert . Uji analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi linear sederhana yang melalui uji prasyarat terlebih dahulu diantaranya uji normalitas, uji linearitas dan uji heteroskedastisitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pada uji regresi linear sederhana diperoleh nilai sig. sebesar . Diindikasikan bahwa nilai sig. kurang dari taraf signifikan yang ditetapkan yaitu . Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa diterima dan ditolak , yang artinya terdapat pengaruh penggunaan Baamboozle terhadap minat belajar matematika peserta didik kelas XI di MA Al Muttaqin Jayapura. Selanjutnya, nilai R Square diperoleh sebesar yang artinya besar pengaruh penggunaan Baamboozle terhadap minat belajar matematika peserta didik kelas XI di MA Al Muttaqin Jayapura adalah atau .
