Abstract

This study aims to analyze the revitalization of the aesthetic values of the Mappacci ritual through project-based Social Studies learning as a strategy to strengthen the cultural identity of senior high school students in Bone Regency. This research uses a literature study method by reviewing various scientific sources such as books, journals, and previous research related to the integration of local culture in the learning process. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis to identify concepts, theories, and research findings related to project-based learning and the cultural values contained in the Mappacci ritual within the Bugis community. The results of the study indicate that project-based Social Studies learning can serve as an effective approach to integrating local culture into the learning process. Through project activities such as cultural observation, discussion, and documentation of traditions, students can understand the symbolic meanings as well as the social and cultural values embedded in the Mappacci ritual. In addition to enhancing students' understanding of local culture, this approach can also foster cultural awareness and a sense of pride in regional identity. Therefore, project-based Social Studies learning can be a relevant strategy in supporting the preservation of local culture while strengthening students' cultural identity in the era of globalization.

Abstract

The development of science and technology encourages the world of education to utilize digital media in the learning process. The use of digital media has become one of the main focuses in the world of education, especially at the elementary school level. This study aims to analyze the use of digital learning media in introducing local Bugis culture as an effort to improve understanding to students. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews and observations. The results of the study indicate that the use of digital learning media has a significant positive impact on student understanding. Teachers utilize digital learning in social studies learning, such as the use of projectors, interactive videos, PowerPoint, and online quizzes. Digital learning media has proven effective in strengthening students' understanding of aspects of local Bugis culture such as traditional clothing, traditional houses, traditional dances, and the values ​​contained therein. In addition, this media also increases student motivation and engagement during the learning process. However, challenges such as limited technological infrastructure, the digital divide, and the lack of teacher competence in using technology remain major obstacles. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve teacher capabilities through training and the provision of adequate technological facilities. This study concludes that digital media has significant potential to improve the quality of social studies learning, particularly in helping students introduce local Bugis culture, if supported by adequate infrastructure and improved teacher competency.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a high level of pluralism, making religious tolerance a necessity in maintaining social stability. However, intolerance remains a serious challenge that requires concrete solutions, one of which is through educational institutions. This study aims to examine Ma'had Al-Zaytun as a space for religious tolerance within the framework of a modern Islamic boarding school, focusing on how Al-Zaytun realizes the values of tolerance through its educational approach and institutional activities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, where data sources were obtained from scientific journal articles selected based on the principles of recency and relevance. The results show that Ma'had Al-Zaytun consistently instills tolerance values through an integrative curriculum, the transformational leadership of Syaykh Panji Gumilang, teacher exemplary conduct, and various real activities involving cross-religious and cross-cultural communities. Al-Zaytun's tolerance practices are also proven to be in line with Law Number 5 of 2017, Article 29 Paragraph 2 of the 1945 Constitution, as well as the principles of Fiqh Siyasah and Islamic Law, making Al-Zaytun a reference model for inclusive and moderate Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of using modified learning tools on improving the basic technique of shot put. The research method used is an experimental method, specifically a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants in this study were 28 tenth-grade students at SMK NU Kelautan Kaplongan. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research instrument utilized was a shot put test. The results of the study revealed that there was a significant effect of using modified learning tools on improving the basic shot put technique.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the self-identity search of Raib, the main character in Bumi by Tere Liye, using a literary psychology approach. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method. The data consist of narrative and dialogue excerpts from the novel that reflect inner conflict, identity crisis, and psychological development of the character. Data were collected through close reading and note-taking techniques, while data analysis was conducted through identification, classification, and interpretation based on concepts of literary psychology. The results indicate that Raib’s self-identity search occurs gradually, beginning with identity confusion and inner conflict, followed by self-acceptance, and culminating in the formation of an integrated identity. This process is influenced by personal experiences, internal and external conflicts, as well as moral values that shape the character’s psychological development. This study is expected to contribute to Indonesian literary studies, particularly research on novels using a literary psychology perspective.

Abstract

The issue of moral decline or the "moral crisis" among elementary school students, particularly regarding the diminishing values of politeness, presents a serious challenge to education in the digital era. The "Kurikulum Merdeka" (Independent Curriculum) was introduced with the vision of the "Pancasila Student Profile" to address these concerns. This study aims to analyze the internalization of politeness values in the Pancasila Education (PPKn) textbooks of the Independent Curriculum as a tool for addressing the moral crisis. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a content analysis method. The research objects are the Primary Textbooks of Pancasila Education for Grades I and IV published by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the textbooks systematically integrate politeness values through verbal, gestural, and social typologies. However, the existing narratives primarily focus on face-to-face interactions and have not addressed digital etiquette. The Independent Curriculum PPKn textbooks are adequate as cognitive tools for introducing politeness values, but their effectiveness in addressing the moral crisis requires reinforcement through teacher role-modeling and adaptation to communication ethics in cyberspace.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis problematika pelaksanaan microteaching secara daring pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab di Universitas Islam Negeri Salatiga, serta mengidentifikasi upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan pendekatan induktif untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang komprehensif terhadap fenomena yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan microteaching secara daring belum berjalan secara optimal. Problematika yang dihadapi mahasiswa meliputi aspek internal dan eksternal. Aspek internal mencakup rendahnya kepercayaan diri dalam berbicara bahasa Arab, keterbatasan penguasaan kosakata, serta kurangnya pemahaman terhadap konsep microteaching. Sementara itu, aspek eksternal meliputi keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, kendala jaringan internet, kesulitan dalam menghadirkan partisipan untuk simulasi pembelajaran, serta hambatan teknis dalam proses pembuatan dan pengunggahan video pembelajaran. Adapun upaya yang dilakukan mahasiswa antara lain meningkatkan latihan berbicara bahasa Arab, memperdalam pemahaman materi, mengoptimalkan penggunaan teknologi pembelajaran, serta melakukan latihan berulang dalam praktik mengajar. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa diperlukan integrasi antara kompetensi bahasa, pedagogik, dan literasi digital untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pelaksanaan microteaching secara daring.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the inner conflict and forms of anxiety experienced by the main character, Guru Isa, in the novel Jalan Tak Ada Ujung by Mochtar Lubis. The main problem of this research focuses on the psychological dynamics of Guru Isa, who lives under the pressure of the Indonesian independence revolution. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive-analytical method. The data analysis is conducted through a literary psychology perspective, particularly Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, which includes the structure of personality (id, ego, and superego) and three types of anxiety. The results of the study show that: (1) Guru Isa’s inner conflict arises from the contradiction between his peaceful personal nature and the violent reality of the revolution; (2) three types of anxiety are found in Guru Isa’s character, namely reality anxiety triggered by the real threat of military patrols, neurotic anxiety in the form of irrational fear originating from within himself, and moral anxiety in the form of feelings of guilt and shame due to his failure to meet social expectations as a teacher. This study concludes that Guru Isa’s psychological condition reflects the individual’s psychological pressure in facing an identity crisis and socio-political circumstances.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the poetry writing skills of Grade VA students at SD Negeri 44 Kota Bengkulu. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a literature study approach. The subjects of this study were 20 students from Grade VA. Data were collected through poetry writing assignments with the theme of natural beauty and analyzed based on the elements of poetry, namely: diction, imagery, concrete words, figurative language, versification, and typography. The research instrument used was a table for analyzing students’ poems. The data analysis process was carried out through several stages, namely: data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the results, students consistently used diction related to nature, although it remained simple. Imagery was dominated by visual imagery, while auditory and tactile imagery were not yet evenly developed. All students used concrete words to describe real natural objects; however, the use of figurative language, especially personification, was not evenly distributed across all works. The rhyme and rhythm of the poems tended to be free and not consciously structured, while the typography generally used lines and stanzas, although some works still resembled prose. A total of 16 students used all six elements of poetry completely. Meanwhile, four students did not use figurative language, resulting in poems that were still directly descriptive. It can be concluded that the students’ poetry writing skills are at an early to developing stage, characterized by the use of simple diction and concrete words, the dominance of visual imagery, and the uneven use of figurative language and rhyme.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan literasi membaca cerita pendek siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar berdasarkan level kognitif dan kompetensi literasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek sebanyak 20 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes berbasis literasi yang mencakup aspek memahami, menerapkan, menalar, menemukan informasi, interpretasi, serta evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa berada pada kategori sedang, dengan kesulitan utama pada kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi seperti menalar dan evaluasi. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya penguatan strategi pembelajaran berbasis literasi di sekolah dasar.
