Abstract

Indonesia adalah negara yang memiliki tingkat keragaman dalam hal suku, agama, ras, dan budaya yang sangat besar. Di satu sisi, keragaman itu menjadi kekayaan bangsa, tetapi di sisi lain bisa jadi sumber konflik jika tidak dikelola dengan tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan mengapa pendidikan multikultural sangat penting dan perlu diterapkan di Indonesia saat ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menganalisis berbagai tantangan sosial seperti intoleransi, perundungan berbasis SARA, dan polarisasi masyarakat. Hasil diskusi menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan multikultural bukan hanya pelajaran tambahan, tetapi menjadi dasar dalam membentuk sikap yang inklusif, penuh empati, dan adil secara sosial sejak kecil. Menerapkan pendidikan multikultural di sekolahsekolah adalah langkah penting untuk memperkuat persatuan bangsa, mencegah terjadinya radikalisme, serta memastikan generasi muda siap hidup bersama dalam masyarakat yang beragam dan harmonis.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using interactive learning media based on the Edpuzzle platform on the learning outcomes in the Basics of Building Modeling and Information Design (DPIB) subject among tenth-grade students at SMK Negeri 14 Medan. This study employs a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects consist of tenth-grade DPIB students divided into several classes. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling, where classes were selected randomly to be designated as the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group was treated with interactive learning media based on the Edpuzzle platform, while the control group used non-interactive video-based media. Both groups were given a pretest and a posttest to identify differences in learning outcomes before and after the treatment. Data collection was conducted through learning outcome tests in the form of multiple-choice questions. The obtained data were then analyzed using statistical tests to determine the difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups. The results show a significant improvement in learning outcomes in the experimental group compared to the control group. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of interactive learning media based on the Edpuzzle platform has a significant influence on the learning outcomes of the Basics of DPIB among tenth-grade students at SMK Negeri 14 Medan

Abstract

The implementation of an Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment Management System (OHSMS/SMK3L) is a crucial aspect in ensuring worker safety on high-rise construction projects. This study aims to identify risky work activities, evaluate the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and assess the implementation of safety facilities on a 16-story hospital construction project in Medan. The method used was direct field observation during a three-month internship, focusing on structural work. The study results indicate various high-risk activities, including working at heights, the use of heavy equipment, electrical installations, and welding and cutting. Furthermore, several hazardous work areas were identified, such as project traffic lanes, narrow spaces, and slippery work surfaces. The use of PPE, including safety helmets, safety shoes, reflective vests, gloves, masks, and body harnesses, was generally implemented. However, discrepancies were found in the use of PPE, both in terms of completeness and standards. Safety facilities such as K3 signs, evacuation routes, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits were available, but still require improvement in quantity and placement. The conclusion of this study indicates that the implementation of SMK3L in the 16-story hospital construction project in Medan has been quite successful, but still requires improvements in supervision, worker compliance, and compliance with occupational safety standards. Optimizing the implementation of SMK3L is expected to minimize the risk of workplace accidents and create a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.

Abstract

Law enforcement on marine pollution, particularly waste pollution in coastal areas, is a strategic issue in maintaining environmental sustainability and marine ecosystems. This study aims to analyze the implementation of maritime law enforcement against waste pollution in the coastal area of Pantai Panjang, Bengkulu City. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation studies.The results show that the implementation of law enforcement against waste pollution in the area has not been optimal. This is due to low public awareness, weak supervision, and limited coordination among related institutions. Although regulations are already in place, their implementation still faces various challenges, including limited resources and weak enforcement of sanctions.This study concludes that strengthening inter-agency coordination, increasing public awareness, and enforcing stricter and more consistent legal measures are necessary. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of more effective policies and strategies for managing waste pollution in coastal areas

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the differences in students' interpersonal intelligence after being given a game of gobak sodor. The study was conducted at Gedongkuning Elementary School and involved 52 fifth-grade students, divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The method used in this study was an experimental one. Data collection was conducted through observation and questionnaires, while data analysis employed a quantitative approach. The experimental group was given the game of gobak sodor, while the control group did not receive any treatment. The results showed a difference in interpersonal intelligence between the two groups. The average score in the experimental group reached 85.18%, with a highest score of 72 and a lowest of 54. Meanwhile, the control group achieved an average score of 81.33%, with a highest score of 71 and a lowest of 49. Statistical analysis using an independent sample t-test showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.034, which is less than 0.05. This indicates a significant effect of the game of gobak sodor on improving students' interpersonal intelligence. Thus, it can be concluded that the game of gobak sodor is effective in improving the interpersonal intelligence of fifth-grade elementary school students. This game is not only fun but also trains students' cooperation, communication, and social skills in interacting with peers.

Abstract

This study examines the role conflict experienced by Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in Indonesian public schools, specifically the tension between administrative duties and core teaching responsibilities. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research explores how a PAI teacher navigates competing demands from both the Ministry of Religious Affairs and local education authorities. The findings reveal three primary forms of role conflict: time conflict, attentional conflict, and value conflict. Additionally, the study identifies coping strategies developed by the teacher, including task prioritization, technology utilization, social support networks, and work-life balance maintenance. This research argues that the bureaucratization of education has led to the deprofessionalization of PAI teachers, necessitating fundamental bureaucratic reform that includes administrative simplification, provision of administrative support staff, resolution of dual authority structures, and restoration of the teacher's primary role as an educator rather than an administrator

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in the engineering drawing element of class X DPIB SMK Negeri 2 Binjai This research aims to improve learning outcomes and student activity through the application of a Group Investigation (GI) type cooperative learning model in the subject of the Fundamentals of the Engineering Drawing Element Expertise Program class X DPIB at SMK Negeri 2 Binjai Academic Year 2025/2026. This research is a Class Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles, where each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were 34 students of class X DPIB-1. The data collection technique is carried out through learning outcome tests to measure the cognitive realm and observation sheets to assess student activity during the learning process. The data of this research was obtained from the tests carried out were test validity tests, test difficulty index, question differentiation and test reliability. . The tool used in collecting data in this study is a learning test, which can be seen from the learning activity of students in the first cycle of meeting 1 which has an average score of 71.03 while in the second cycle of the meeting there is a significant increase, namely obtained with an average score of 82.72, it can be seen that the increase occurred between cycle I and cycle II. The results of this study show that there is a significant increase in learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. In the first cycle, the average score of students was 56.91. while in cycle II, the average score of students increased to 88.02. So it can be seen that the increase that occurred between cycle I and cycle II was 28.11%. This proves that the Group Investigation-type cooperative learning model can increase learning outcomes and activeness in engineering drawing elements.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students’ learning outcomes through the use of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in Pancasila Education. The issue addressed in this study is the low level of learning outcomes resulting from teacher-centered learning. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were fourth-grade students of MI Muhammadiyah Cece. Data were gathered through observation and tests, and then analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques. The results revealed a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle stage, classical completeness was 41.18%. In cycle I, the average score rose to 74.12 with 52.94% completeness. In cycle II, the average score increased to 93.24 with 88.24% completeness. These findings demonstrate that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model effectively enhances students’ learning outcomes, participation, and collaboration skills. Therefore, this model can be applied as an alternative learning strategy in elementary education.

Abstract

The use of manipulative media in elementary school mathematics learning plays an important role in helping students understand abstract concepts. However, many students still experience difficulties in learning mathematics due to its abstract nature, which impacts their learning outcomes. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of manipulative media in improving students’ conceptual understanding, learning outcomes, and problem-solving abilities. The research method used is a literature review by analyzing various relevant scientific journal articles published in national journals. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed descriptively by identifying, classifying, and comparing findings from previous studies. The results show that manipulative media are effective in making abstract mathematical concepts more concrete and easier to understand. In addition, the use of manipulative media can increase students’ learning motivation, engagement, and active participation during the learning process. It also contributes significantly to improving students’ problem-solving skills, as they can explore and experiment directly with learning materials. Furthermore, manipulative media are particularly effective when applied to basic mathematical topics such as addition and subtraction. Therefore, the use of manipulative media is highly recommended as an innovative and effective learning strategy to enhance the quality of mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the teaching of multiplication and division in lower elementary grades. The study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method through descriptive analysis of 10 relevant scientific journals published between 2021 and 2026. The results indicate that multiplication and division instruction in elementary school lower grades should prioritize strengthening conceptual understanding over mere procedural mastery. Students’ learning difficulties are generally attributed to instruction that remains rote-memorization-oriented and fails to provide concrete, contextual learning experiences that help students grasp the meaning of repeated addition and the concept of division as a process of sharing equally. Various findings indicate that the implementation of innovative learning models, the use of manipulative and digital media, as well as problem-based and real-world context-based learning approaches can significantly improve conceptual understanding, active engagement, and student learning outcomes. Therefore, the teaching of multiplication and division in lower grades needs to be designed systematically, meaningfully, and student-centered to build a strong foundation in numeracy as the basis for mathematics learning at subsequent levels.
