Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ cognitive load in digital-based informatics learning and identify the influence of digital learning media on students’ motivation and understanding. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through classroom observations and interviews with an informatics teacher. The findings showed that students experienced difficulties in understanding abstract concepts related to artificial intelligence and data quality principles. In addition, students’ attention spans tended to decrease during lecture-dominated learning. However, students showed higher enthusiasm when interactive digital media, educational games, and animated videos were used in the classroom. The findings were analyzed using Cognitive Load Theory, Multimedia Learning Theory, and constructivist learning theory. The study concludes that interactive multimedia and segmented learning content can reduce extraneous cognitive load and improve student engagement in informatics learning. Therefore, the integration of interactive digital media and AI-based animated learning videos is recommended to improve the effectiveness of technology-based learning. Abstract

This study was conducted in response to the low accuracy of Mad Tabi’i recitation among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 30 Sungailiat. Preliminary and subsequent observations revealed that the majority of students experienced difficulties in distinguishing between long and short vowel sounds in accordance with tajwid rules. Therefore, this research aimed to examine the effect of the Qiro’ati method on the accuracy of students’ Mad Tabi’i recitation. This study employed a quantitative approach with an experimental design, specifically the One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The population consisted of 34 students, while the sample comprised 27 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an oral test designed to assess the accuracy of students’ Mad Tabi’i recitation. Data analysis was carried out using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and the Paired Sample t-test with the assistance of SPSS version 22. The results showed that the average pretest score was 43.70 and the posttest score increased to 58.11, indicating an improvement in the accuracy of students’ Mad Tabi’i recitation. The normality test results showed that the data were normally distributed with significance values of 0.067 for the pretest and 0.091 for the posttest. The hypothesis testing showed that the t-count value is 14.590, which was greater than the t-table value of 1.706 (0.000 < 0.05), so the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. Thus, it could be concluded that the Qiro’ati method had a significant effect on the accuracy of Mad Tabi’i recitation of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 30 Sungailiat.

Abstract

Learning at the high school level is certainly inseparable from the relationship between learning theories taught by a teacher to students, teachers are also tasked with instilling learning in accordance with the basic values agreed upon by the Indonesian nation. Learning contained in the concept of constructivist learning theory is a learning model that emphasizes students' current activities, as stated by Jean Piaget, he explained that the learning process begins with cognitive conflict activities, so that at the end of the learning process students will build their own knowledge through interaction with the environment. Constructivist learning theory was also put forward by Vygotsky, he explained that the constructivist learning process is based on social interaction / requires the help of others (schafollding). The purpose of writing this article is to describe the theory of constructivism implemented by teachers in informatics learning, especially at the high school level. This study uses qualitative descriptive research, the instruments used are observation sheets and interview guidelines. The subjects in this study were informatics teachers of class X.B SMAN 8 Luwu Timur. The results of this study indicate that teachers have carried out the learning process effectively, namely by actively interacting with students in the learning process. The application of this theory is demonstrated by the emergence of all stages of constructivism theory, such as apperception, exploration, discussion and concept explanation, and concept development and application. Ultimately, students are able to construct their own knowledge effectively.

Abstract

This clinical observation aimed to analyze students' learning behavior in Grade V IPAS instruction on the topic "Why Do We Need to Eat and Drink" through the perspectives of social constructivism, Cognitive Load Theory, behaviorism, and motivation theory. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation of the learning process and document analysis of the teaching module over two meetings, focusing on teacher activities, student responses, media interaction, attention, motivation, participation, social interaction, reinforcement, and cognitive load. The findings show that the teacher designed learning through Problem Based Learning integrated with a Deep Learning orientation. Learning activities included orientation, breathing exercise, prayer, apperception about daily eating habits, guiding questions, observation of Canva-based slides and educational videos, group discussion using worksheets, presentation, reflection, evaluation, and Wordwall-based reinforcement. The design potentially increased attention, curiosity, collaboration, and meaningful learning because the problem was close to students' daily lives. However, several clinical indications appeared: students could experience extraneous cognitive load when video, slides, and worksheet instructions were presented too quickly; participation in groups could be uneven; and gamified media could strengthen extrinsic motivation if not accompanied by reflective feedback. Therefore, the study recommends segmented interactive videos, guided Canva worksheets, role cards in group work, Wordwall-based formative assessment with feedback, digital concept maps, and teacher scaffolding based on the Zone of Proximal Development. These recommendations are intended to transform a descriptive lesson design into a more diagnostic, adaptive, and technology-supported learning intervention.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the athletic training program for long-distance runners to determine the effectiveness of its implementation in improving athlete performance. The research method used is descriptive evaluative with a mixed methods approach. The research subjects consisted of long-distance running athletes who are members of a club or team. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and physical fitness tests such as endurance and VO2max. Data analysis employed the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. The results showed that the training program has been implemented fairly well; however, several weaknesses were identified, including the lack of training variation, suboptimal application of periodization principles, and limitations in the use of performance measurement tools. Nevertheless, the program was able to improve athletes' endurance, although the improvement was not evenly distributed among all athletes. Therefore, continuous evaluation and more systematic development of training programs are needed to optimize athlete performance.

Abstract

This article formulates a phenomenon experienced by the digital diaspora in Indonesia, where cultural fragmentation has affected global social media platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter. Using qualitative methods through content analysis and netnography, this study explores how their cultural identities are navigated within the Indonesian diaspora community in the transnational digital space. It is proven that the Indonesian digital diaspora experiences three main forms of fragmentation: identity fragmentation (the split in self-representation between local values and global norms), community fragmentation (the development of subgroups based on region, religion, and generation), and narrative fragmentation (the discursive battle between nostalgia, nationalism, and cultural assimilation). Global platforms play a dual role: as spaces for cultural expression and as agencies that reshape cultural practices through algorithms and content policies. This article argues that fragmentation is not solely a negative phenomenon, but rather a reflection of the dynamic negotiation of identity in the context of digital globalization.
