Abstract

Vocabulary mastery is a fundamental aspect of English language learning for elementary school students. However, the limited use of interactive teaching methods often poses a challenge in improving their language skills. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using English songs in improving elementary school students’ vocabulary mastery. Using a literature review method, this study examines various academic sources regarding the benefits of songs in language learning, particularly in terms of improving vocabulary comprehension and retention. The results indicate that using songs as a learning medium can boost student motivation, enrich vocabulary, and facilitate English comprehension and pronunciation in a more enjoyable way. Songs have also proven effective in increasing student engagement in the learning process, compared to conventional methods. Thus, the use of songs in English language learning is recommended as an innovative strategy to improve students’ vocabulary mastery more effectively and interactively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan video pembelajaran terhadap proses kognitif dan partisipasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris materi degree of comparison di SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengamati interaksi antara guru dan siswa, aktivitas dan respons kognitif siswa terhadap pemanfaatan media video pembelajaran guna memperoleh data yang sesuai dengan fokus penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi kelas XI SMK, kemudian dianalisis melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan video pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan perhatian dan partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran. Media video membantu siswa dalam memahami materi melalui stimulus visual dan auditori sehingga mendukung proses kognitif seperti perhatian, pengolahan informasi, penyimpanan, dan pemahaman konsep secara lebih baik. Selain itu, video pembelajaran juga memfasilitasi munculnya partisipasi belajar siswa. Meskipun demikian, masih ditemukan beberapa siswa yang kurang aktif sehingga proses kognitif belum optimal secara menyeluruh. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa video pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan proses kognitif dan partisipasi belajar siswa, namun tetap memerlukan peran guru sebagai fasilitator untuk mengoptimalkan keterlibatan seluruh siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Penggunaan media video dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dapat menjadi alternatif media pembelajaran untuk transformasi pembelajaran digital yang lebih interaktif, inovatif, dan berpusat pada siswa, sehingga mampu menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan teknologi serta meningkatkan efektivitas proses pembelajaran di era digital.

Abstract

Learning materials are essential components in supporting the success of the teaching and learning process. Among these materials, Student Worksheets (LKS/LKPD) and assessment instruments play a highly strategic role. The Student Worksheet (LKPD) is one of the learning tools that functions to support the achievement of learning processes and outcomes, and in order to obtain a quality and feasible LKPD, a feasibility assessment must be conducted. This article aims to provide a systematic guide for developing quality LKS/LKPD as well as valid and reliable assessment instruments. The study was conducted through a literature review approach drawing on various relevant scientific sources. The findings indicate that the development of a good LKPD must consider aspects of content feasibility, language, activities, appearance, and presentation. Validation results show that well-developed learning tools, including LKPD, can fall within the valid to highly valid category and are suitable for use in the learning process. Furthermore, authentic assessment covers cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects—using techniques such as written tests, oral tests, assignments, observations, self-assessments, peer assessments, projects, performance tasks, and portfolios—to obtain a comprehensive picture of students' competency attainment. This article is expected to serve as a practical reference for educators in designing effective, measurable, and curriculum-aligned learning materials. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the repetition training method on passing skills in futsal players. Passing is one of the basic techniques that is very important in futsal because it plays a role in building attacks and maintaining ball control. The research method used is an experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study were 20 futsal players. The instrument used was a futsal passing skills test conducted before and after treatment. Data were analyzed using a t-test to determine significant differences between the pretest and posttest results. Based on the data analysis, the results of the t-test: paired two samples for means with a calculated t of 11.70 and t table of 2.10 with significance 11.70 > 2.10 so that the data is declared significant. The results of the study can be concluded that there is an effect of the repetition training method on the passing skills of futsal players.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teachers’ social competence in shaping the relationship between teachers and students with physical disabilities at SLB Negeri 1 Bantul using a qualitative descriptive approach through non-participant observation and documentation methods. The findings indicate that teachers’ social competence plays a crucial role in creating effective learning processes and positive interpersonal relationships, as reflected in adaptive communication skills, empathy, patience, and the use of flexible teaching methods tailored to students’ needs. In addition, teachers contribute to fostering students’ social interaction and creating an inclusive learning environment, which positively impacts students’ comfort, self-confidence, learning motivation, as well as their social and emotional development. Overall, teachers’ social competence significantly contributes to the quality of learning in special education settings; therefore, continuous efforts through training and professional development are needed to improve the quality of educational services for students with special needs.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is both a legal obligation and an ethical commitment inherent in every investment company operating in Indonesia as mandated by Law Number 40 of 2007 on Limited Liability Companies and Law Number 25 of 2007 on Investment. This normative study analyzes three key issues, namely the legal construction of CSR within the investment regulatory framework in Indonesia, the implementation mechanism of CSR by investment companies, and the legal implications of investment companies' non-compliance with CSR obligations. The approach employed is a statutory approach and a conceptual approach by examining various regulations, legal doctrines, and relevant academic literature. The results indicate that Indonesia's CSR legal framework has provided a sufficiently adequate normative foundation, yet its implementation still faces serious challenges regarding standard uniformity, oversight mechanisms, and effective legal consequences. This study recommends strengthening operational and measurable CSR technical regulations as an instrument to drive real contributions from investment companies toward sustainable development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic planning of Islamic education management, describe its implementation in shaping students' akhlakul karimah character, and identify its supporting and inhibiting factors at the primary education level in Muhammadiyah Elementary School. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation study. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, while data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings reveal three main conclusions: first, strategic planning is carried out participatively and adaptively with Islamic values as the philosophical foundation of all educational programs; second, strategy implementation is conducted through teacher role modeling (uswah hasanah), structured daily habituation, and character value integration in formal learning supported by akhlakul karimah-oriented academic supervision; third, implementation success is sustained by leadership commitment, teacher professionalism, and parental involvement, while negative external environmental influences and inconsistent family support remain the primary inhibiting factors. This study contributes to the development of a holistic and integrative Islamic education management model oriented toward nurturing a generation of Muslims with noble character in the contemporary era

Abstract

Criminal law is an essential component of the legal system that regulates prohibited acts and determines sanctions for offenders. The implementation of criminal law cannot be separated from the fundamental principles that serve as its foundation. This article aims to analyze the basic principles in criminal law, including the principle of legality, culpability, territoriality, nationality, universality, equality before the law, presumption of innocence, ultimum remedium, lex specialis derogat legi generali, and non-retroactivity. This study uses a normative juridical method by examining legal literature, statutory regulations, and relevant scholarly journals. The results show that these principles play a crucial role in ensuring legal certainty, justice, and the protection of human rights in the enforcement of criminal law. Furthermore, the development of modern criminal law demonstrates the need for a dynamic interpretation of these principles in order to respond to contemporary legal challenges, such as transnational crimes and technological advancements. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding and consistent application of criminal law principles are necessary to achieve a fair, effective, and accountable legal system.

Abstract

The right to legal aid is an important part of human rights protection and the rule of law principle in the criminal justice system. This research aims to analyze the normative arrangement of the right to legal aid, its implementation in the practice of criminal justice, normative and structural obstacles in access to legal aid, as well as the reconstruction of the strengthening of legal aid to realize access to justice in Indonesia. This research uses a normative legal research method with a legislative, conceptual, and analytical approach. Legal materials are obtained through the study of literature on laws and regulations, international legal instruments, books, scientific journals, and relevant research results. The research results show that the right to legal assistance has gained constitutional legitimacy through the 1945 Constitution and is further regulated in the Criminal Code and Law Number 16 of 2011 concerning Legal Assistance. However, the implementation is still facing various obstacles, such as regulatory disharmony, limited legal aid organizations, lack of quality and distribution of advocates, low public legal awareness, weak supervision of law enforcement officers, and limited state budget. In addition, formalistic administrative procedures and access inequality in remote areas cause legal assistance to not be fully accessible evenly. This research emphasizes the need to reform the legal aid system through the harmonization of regulations, institutional strengthening of legal aid organizations, improving the quality of human resources, optimizing digital technology, as well as strengthening the role of paralegals and public legal education so that access to justice can be realized substantively and inclusively.

Abstract

International arbitration as a mechanism for resolving investment disputes has evolved into the most preferred forum by foreign investors in settling disputes with host states, offering advantages of neutrality, arbitrator expertise, procedural speed, and certainty of award enforcement through international conventions. This normative study analyzes three key issues, namely the legal framework of international arbitration in resolving investment disputes in Indonesia, the international arbitration mechanisms available to foreign investors, and the legal implications of international arbitration awards on Indonesia's investment legal system. The approach employed is a statutory approach and a conceptual approach by examining various national regulations, international conventions, and relevant academic literature. The results indicate that Indonesia has built a sufficiently adequate international arbitration legal framework but still faces challenges in terms of consistency in implementing bilateral investment treaties, capacity for handling investment disputes, and balancing investor protection with state regulatory sovereignty. This study recommends a systematic review of all Indonesia's bilateral investment treaties as a strategic step to strengthen the state's legal position in international arbitration disputes.
