Abstract

The Indonesian language at the elementary school level has a significant contribution in shaping students' personalities, particularly in the application of good manners when communicating. However, many students have yet to be able to use Indonesian in an orderly and ethical manner within the school environment. This study aims to analyze the role of Indonesian language use in forming polite attitudes among elementary school students. The approach used is descriptive qualitative by reviewing various recent literature sources. The analysis results indicate that habituation of using good and polite Indonesian has a positive impact on students' attitudes, both in responding to teachers and in interacting with peers. Teachers occupy a strategic position as role models in building an ethical language culture at school. This study emphasizes the role of language as a means of communication as well as a strategic medium in the character-building process of elementary school students.

Abstract

Kedisiplinan siswa merupakan permasalahan yang sering terjadi di lingkungan sekolah menengah, terutama pada pelanggaran tata tertib sekolah. Penanaman nilai-nilai Pelajaran Agama Islam diyakini memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter disiplin siswa secara mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk penanaman nilai-nilai pelajaran agama Islam, menganalisis pembinaan kedisiplinan, serta menjelaskan dampak penanaman nilai-nilai pelajaran Islam terhadap kedisiplinan siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Kota Bogor. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian adalah dua guru PAI, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kesiswaan, dan tiga siswa yang dipilih secara purposif. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan triangulasi sumber untuk menguji keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penanaman nilai pelajaran agama Islam dilaksanakan melalui integrasi nilai aqidah (dzikir pagi, tadarus Al-Qur’an, peringatan hari besar Islam), syariat (shalat dzuhur dan dhuha berjamaah), dan akhlak (program keputrian, pembiasaan kebersihan kelas). Pembinaan kedisiplinan dilaksanakan melalui program sapa pagi harian, keterlibatan aktif orang tua, serta sistem sanksi berjenjang mulai dari teguran lisan hingga skorsing. Dampak yang teridentifikasi meliputi meningkatnya kesadaran diri siswa dalam menjalankan kewajiban, kedisiplinan dalam ibadah yang terbawa hingga lingkungan rumah, peningkatan tanggung jawab akademik, serta terbentuknya akhlak mulia dalam interaksi sosial.

Abstract

The spirit of national defense needs to be instilled from an early age to shape the character of the younger generation who have a sense of love for the homeland, nationalism, and responsibility as citizens. Children in orphanages are one group that requires strengthening national values ​​through activities that are appropriate to their characteristics. This study aims to describe the implementation of the "My Hero, Your Hero" program and its role in instilling the spirit of national defense in orphanage children. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The study was conducted at the Al Muzakki Orphanage involving 10 children as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that the "My Hero, Your Hero" program can be implemented well through the delivery of materials, inspirational stories, discussions, questions and answers, and educational games. Participants showed high enthusiasm during the activity and were able to understand the meaning of national defense and its application in everyday life. This program plays a role in increasing participants' understanding of the values ​​of heroism, nationalism, discipline, responsibility, and social care. The "My Hero, Your Hero" program can be an alternative educational activity to support the instillation of the spirit of national defense and the formation of children's character in the orphanage environment.

Abstract

The reform of the criminal justice system through Law No. 1 of 2023 on the National Criminal Code has brought fundamental changes to the adjudication stage, particularly a paradigm shift in judicial decisions from retributive to restorative through the instrument of Probation. This study aims to analyze the legal issues in the process of determining probation sentences due to the absence of Sentencing Guidelines, as well as to examine the institutional readiness of the Correctional Institution (BAPAS) in implementing these sentences in the field. This normative legal study employs a legislative and conceptual approach, relying on the analysis of both primary and secondary legal materials. The findings indicate that the absence of measurable technical sentencing guidelines results in judges’ discretionary authority becoming overly broad, thereby creating a risk of discriminatory disparities in rulings for cases with similar characteristics. Furthermore, court rulings imposing non-custodial sanctions risk losing their enforceability due to a shortage of Probation Officers and inadequate BAPAS facilities, which ultimately reduces the meaning of supervision to a mere administrative formality. As a solution, this study recommends the issuance of implementing regulations that strictly mandate the use of the Pre-Sentence Report as an objective basis for consideration before a judge issues a ruling.

Abstract

Character education is an important aspect of learning ssin elementary schools, especially the character of discipline. However, there are still students who lack discipline in participating in learning activities, such as arriving late, being less orderly, and not complying with school rules. One effort that schools can make to overcome this problem is through the School Literacy Movement (GLS). This study aims to analyze the strengthening of disciplined character through the School Literacy Movement in elementary school students based on the results of previous research. The method used in this study is a literature review by analyzing several SINTA-indexed national journals relevant to the research theme. Data sources were obtained through Data collection was carried out by reviewing all articles regarding the character of student discipline. which has similar research in this research report. A total of 6 journal articles were obtained from Google Scholar. Based on the literature review conducted, it can be concluded that the School Literacy Movement is able to shape the character of student discipline through reading habits before learning begins. In addition to improving reading culture, GLS also helps students become more orderly, responsible, and comply with school rules. Thus, the School Literacy Movement has an important role in strengthening the character education of discipline in elementary schools.

Abstract

The misuse of subsidized diesel fuel is a criminal offense that not only causes financial losses to the state but is also closely linked to the rampant illegal gold mining activities occurring in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The availability of subsidized diesel fuel supports the operation of the dredging machines used by illegal miners; therefore, law enforcement against these two crimes should be conducted synergistically. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of law enforcement by the Kuantan Singingi Police against the criminal misuse of subsidized diesel fuel and its impact on illegal gold mining activities in the region. The research method employed is a normative legal approach using legislative and conceptual frameworks. The findings indicate that law enforcement against the misuse of subsidized diesel has not been effective due to limited resources, weak inter-agency coordination, and a lack of commitment among law enforcement officials. These conditions directly contribute to the continued operation of unlicensed gold mining, which is increasingly widespread. Comprehensive and coordinated legal enforcement system reform is needed to break the chain linking these two interconnected crimes.

Abstract

The development of this adventure game was undertaken to address challenges in the computer science curriculum, specifically the limited diversity of teaching materials, which often diminishes students' interest in learning and hinders their understanding without visual examples. This study aims to create a valid and practical adventure game for tenth-grade high school students or equivalent levels. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the 4D development model—Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. Validity testing was conducted by three experts: one content validator and two media validators. Practicality testing involved tenth-grade students, followed by dissemination and effectiveness evaluation with computer science teachers and tenth-grade students at two different schools. The validity assessment conducted by subject matter experts yielded a 93.7% score, classified as very valid. The combined validity assessment results from Media Expert I and Media Expert II reached 97.8%, categorized as very valid. The practicality assessment achieved a 95.2% score, deemed very practical. The teacher effectiveness evaluation demonstrated a 90% score, labeled very effective, while the student effectiveness score was 91.9%, also rated very effective. Based on these results regarding validity, practicality, and effectiveness, it can be concluded that the developed adventure game is suitable for use in Informatics education.

Abstract

The development of educational games as an effort to solve problems in Social Science subjects, the learning media used is still less varied, where there are several media used such as modules, LKPD and PowerPoint in learning which cause students to be less interested in learning Social Sciences and also less understanding of the material because there are no visual examples. Interactive media such as educational games are expected to be able to make students more interested in learning in Social Science subjects. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) development method with a 4D development model consisting of Define, Design, Development, Disseminate stages. The validity test was carried out by 3 experts, namely 1 material validator and 2 media validators. The practicality test was carried out by grade VIII students. And the dissemination is carried out by spreading media links to MGMP IPS Padang City. Based on the validity test by material experts, the results were obtained with a percentage of 92.5% with the category "Very Appropriate". The results of the product validity test with media experts I and media experts II obtained percentages of 95.8% and 98.6% with the category "Very Valid". The results of the practicality test obtained a percentage of 95.5% with the category "Very Practical". Based on the results of validity and practicality, it can be concluded that the educational games developed can be used in Social Science learning. However, in the dissemination of educational game media, this is still limited to the MGMP IPS group of Padang City.

Abstract

The Indonesia Stock Exchange, as the institution responsible for securities trading, plays a central role in building a transparent, accountable, and trustworthy capital market ecosystem for all market participants. Transparency serves as the primary foundation that determines the quality of the capital market, as adequate information disclosure is an absolute prerequisite for investors to make rational investment decisions and avoid market manipulation. This study aims to analyze the role of the Indonesia Stock Exchange in achieving capital market transparency and to examine the legal protection mechanisms available to investors resulting from the success or failure of such transparency. The research method employed is a normative legal approach using legislative and conceptual frameworks. The results of the study indicate that the Indonesia Stock Exchange has established various transparency instruments; however, their implementation still faces serious challenges, particularly regarding the handling of suspensions, potential delistings, and the protection of minority shareholders. Strengthening regulations and institutional coordination are key to realizing a capital market that is truly transparent and equitable.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) usage on the English proficiency of high school students at SMK Telkom 2 Medan. As AI-based tools such as chatbots, language learning apps, and automated writing assistants become increasingly integrated into students’ daily academic activities, they offer both potential benefits and challenges for language development. The research adopts a quantitative correlational approach, involving 40 students selected as participants. Data were gathered through questionnaires and English proficiency assessments, then analyzed using correlation and regression techniques. The results indicate a positive and statistically significant relationship between the use of AI tools and students’ English proficiency, particularly in improving vocabulary mastery, writing organization, and reading comprehension. Students also reported increased confidence when practicing English with AI assistance. However, the study also highlights potential drawbacks, such as over-reliance on AI-generated responses, which may limit critical thinking and reduce grammatical accuracy when students do not actively engage in the learning process. Overall, the findings suggest that AI can function as an effective supplementary tool in English learning when used thoughtfully and under proper guidance. This research contributes to the growing discussion on technology-enhanced language learning and offers practical insights for educators in integrating AI into classroom instruction in a balanced and pedagogically sound manner.
