Abstract

The integration of local wisdom into elementary school learning has garnered increasing attention alongside the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes contextual learning and the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile. This study aims to map the characteristics of existing research, synthesize key findings, and identify research gaps concerning the integration of local wisdom into elementary school learning in Indonesia during the period 2021–2025. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Literature searches were performed using Google Scholar with keywords related to local wisdom, ethnopedagogy, ethnomathematics, ethnoscience, and elementary schools. Of the 347 articles initially identified, 20 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using a thematic synthesis approach. The findings reveal four main themes: (1) the use of traditional games and culture-based media contributes to psychomotor, cognitive, social-emotional, and numeracy literacy development; (2) local wisdom serves as a means of strengthening character education and the Pancasila Student Profile; (3) the application of ethnomathematics and ethnoscience supports conceptual understanding, mathematical communication, and critical thinking skills; and (4) research gaps persist, characterized by a scarcity of studies focusing on early elementary grades, limited representation from eastern Indonesia, and a lack of experimental and longitudinal research. Overall, the integration of local wisdom demonstrates significant potential as a contextual and meaningful learning strategy; however, its implementation still requires enhanced teacher capacity and the development of locally relevant instructional materials. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for the development of instructional practices and more diverse, contextually grounded future research agendas.

The study was motivated by the importance of autonomous, participatory, transparent, and accountable school management in addressing the demands for educational quality improvement in the digital era. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, documentation, and analysis of school documents. The findings indicate that the implementation of SBM at SD Negeri 4 Sanur has been relatively effective, particularly in the areas of curriculum management, student affairs, facilities and infrastructure management, and financial administration. The school's strengths include the quality of its teaching staff, the democratic leadership of the principal, a conducive learning environment, and strong stakeholder support. However, several weaknesses were identified, including the suboptimal use of educational technology, limitations in special support services, and uneven professional development opportunities for teachers. The opportunities available to the school include parental support, government policies, and advancements in educational technology, while threats arise from competition among schools, changes in educational policies, and increasing public expectations regarding the quality of educational services. Based on the SWOT analysis, the implementation of SBM at SD Negeri 4 Sanur is considered effective in supporting educational quality improvement. Nevertheless, further enhancement is needed in the areas of instructional innovation, human resource development, and community partnerships to ensure sustainable educational quality improvement.

Abstract

The way people interact and communicate has changed significantly in recent years. Activities that were once carried out through direct face-to-face interactions are now increasingly conducted through social media and various digital platforms. This shift has influenced the social values that have long been embedded in Indonesian society, including gotong royong (mutual cooperation), which is recognized as one of the nation's cultural identities. This study aims to analyze the transformation of social values in Indonesian society from the culture of mutual cooperation to digital culture, as well as to examine the challenges and opportunities for preserving social values in the digital era. The study employed a library research method by utilizing relevant national and international journal articles as the primary sources of data. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis. The findings indicate that digital technology has transformed patterns of social interaction from physical spaces to digital environments. Nevertheless, the value of mutual cooperation has not disappeared; instead, it has adapted into more contemporary forms, such as online fundraising, digital social campaigns, and virtual communities. On the other hand, the digital era has also introduced challenges, including increasing tendencies toward individualism and reduced face-to-face social interaction. Therefore, efforts to preserve social values are needed through character education, digital literacy, and the responsible use of technology while maintaining the principles of togetherness and social solidarity.

Abstract

This study examines tepa selira, a Javanese local wisdom, as a strategy for resolving interpersonal conflicts among elementary school students through a thematic literature review approach. Data were collected from 28 peer-reviewed articles sourced from Google Scholar, Garuda, and DOAJ databases, analyzed using thematic analysis across five themes. The findings reveal that interpersonal conflicts in elementary schools are systemic phenomena rooted in low empathy and emotional regulation. Tepa selira, which emphasizes perspective-taking, self-control, and mutual respect, directly addresses these root causes. Compared to other local wisdoms that rely on collective mechanisms, tepa selira operates at the individual level, making it more adaptable for formal educational settings. Implementation can be carried out through subject integration, school culture habituation, activity-based approaches, and guided mediation. This study contributes a culturally-rooted conflict resolution framework applicable to elementary education contexts.

Abstract

The increasing mobility of foreign nationals entering Indonesia has created both opportunities and challenges in the implementation of immigration law enforcement. While the presence of foreign nationals contributes to economic growth, investment, education, and tourism, it also presents potential risks related to immigration violations and national security. One of the most significant concerns is the misuse of residence permits by foreign nationals who engage in activities inconsistent with the purposes of their stay permits. Such violations not only undermine immigration regulations but also have the potential to affect national stability and public order. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of supervision over foreign nationals' residence permits and examine the challenges and optimization efforts in strengthening immigration law enforcement from a national security perspective. This research employs a normative legal method with statutory and conceptual approaches. Data were collected through literature studies involving laws and regulations, scientific journals, books, official reports, and relevant academic sources concerning immigration supervision, residence permits, and national security. The findings indicate that the supervision of residence permits has been carried out through administrative and field monitoring mechanisms. However, various challenges remain, including limited human resources, increasing numbers of foreign nationals, weak inter-agency coordination, technological limitations, and evolving patterns of immigration violations. Therefore, strengthening institutional capacity, enhancing inter-agency cooperation, utilizing information technology, and improving immigration supervision policies are necessary to improve the effectiveness of immigration law enforcement. Effective supervision of residence permits is essential not only for maintaining immigration order but also for safeguarding national sovereignty and security.

Abstract

Students' low understanding of homonyms is one of the problems in learning Indonesian in elementary schools. Based on initial observations in grade IV of SD Negeri 1 Beureunuen, some students still have difficulty in distinguishing the meaning of homonyms based on the context of the sentence, so that the learning outcomes have not reached the established Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP). This study aims to describe the activities and learning outcomes of students through the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by Wheel of Words media on the material of homonyms. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were 28 grade IV students of SD Negeri 1 Beureunuen. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and learning outcome tests. Data were analyzed descriptively by calculating the percentage of student activity and the completeness of learning outcomes. The results showed that student learning activities were in the good category with an average score of 25.54 out of a maximum score of 32. The highest percentage of activity was found in the learning readiness indicator at 100%, while the active answering and learning participation indicators were each at 73.21%. Student learning outcomes showed a class average score of 79.36 with a learning completion percentage of 75%, or 21 out of 28 students had achieved the KKTP. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the TGT learning model assisted by Wheel of Words media can create more active and engaging learning, as well as support the achievement of student learning outcomes on homonyms.
