Abstract

Problem-solving ability is one of the fundamental cognitive competencies that must be developed from an early age, because it is the basis for children's success in facing challenges in subsequent stages of education. This study aims to improve the problem-solving abilities of early childhood through the use of puzzle game technology. The study was conducted from April to May 2026 using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method of the Kemmis and McTaggart model consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 14 children in group B aged 5–6 years. The data collection instrument used an observation sheet that refers to the four indicators of problem-solving according to Polya, namely understanding the problem, making a plan, implementing the plan, and re-examining. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and supported by paired sample t-tests. The results of the study showed a significant increase in each cycle. In the pre-action, the average score of children's problem-solving abilities was 52% (Starting to Develop). After being given intervention in cycle I, the average score increased to 74% (Developing as Expected), and in cycle II it increased to 89% (Developing Very Well). The highest improvements occurred in the indicators of implementing plans (from 55% to 91%) and understanding problems (from 45% to 85%). The results of the paired sample t-test showed a calculated t value of 6.847 > t table = 2.080, indicating a significant difference between children's problem-solving abilities before and after treatment. The conclusion of this study is that the use of puzzle game technology is effective in improving the problem-solving abilities of early childhood children at Makarti Kindergarten, PKO Seluma.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low language development of children aged 5–6 years at Hawari Islamic Kindergarten, Tanjung Ganti I Village, Kaur Regency. Based on initial observations, most children still experience difficulties in constructing descriptive sentences, expressing ideas or opinions, answering simple questions, demonstrating courage to speak, and retelling experiences orally. This study aims to improve the language development of children aged 5–6 years through a field trip to a rice field. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, implemented in two cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study subjects were 10 children in Group B at Hawari Islamic Kindergarten, Tanjung Ganti I Village, Kelam Tengah District, Kaur Regency in 2026. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques by calculating the percentage of achievement of children's language development indicators. The results of the study showed that the average child's language development increased in each cycle, from 22% in the pre-cycle, to 48% in Cycle I, and reaching 80% in Cycle II. Improvements occurred in the ability to construct descriptive sentences, express ideas or opinions, answer simple questions, speak confidently, and tell stories. Thus, the field trip method to the rice fields has proven effective in improving the language development of children aged 5–6 years at Hawari Islamic Kindergarten, Tanjung Ganti I Village, Kaur Regency.

Abstract

Marriage in Islam is not only viewed as a physical and spiritual bond between a man and a woman, but also as a means of achieving a sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah family. However, various household problems leading to conflicts and divorce indicate that many couples are not adequately prepared before entering married life. This study aims to examine the urgency of marriage planning in forming a sakinah family from an Islamic perspective. The study employed a qualitative method using a library research approach by analyzing the Qur'an, Hadith, books, and relevant scientific journals. The findings reveal that marriage planning plays a significant role in preparing individuals spiritually, psychologically, socially, and economically before marriage. From an Islamic perspective, such preparedness serves as the primary foundation for building harmonious relationships, fulfilling the rights and obligations of spouses, and dealing with various dynamics of family life. Proper marriage planning increases the likelihood of establishing a sakinah family because couples possess a better understanding of the purpose of marriage and the responsibilities that must be fulfilled. Therefore, marriage planning should become a primary concern for prospective couples as a preventive effort to create a high-quality and resilient family in accordance with Islamic values.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in IPAS learning are caused by the lack of innovative media utilization, which makes students less enthusiastic and tends to be passive in learning, resulting in only 18 out of 39 students achieving the learning objective attainment criteria of 75. This condition encouraged the researcher to implement Educaplay interactive learning media as a more attractive alternative solution. This study aims to describe the implementation of Educaplay interactive learning media on IPAS learning outcomes of the material "Aku dan Kebutuhanku" for fourth grade students of SD Negeri Pertiwi Lamgarot Aceh Besar. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with 39 students as subjects, data collection instruments in the form of teacher and student activity observation sheets and a written test of 20 multiple choice questions. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of Educaplay was carried out very well, as evidenced by the results of teacher and student activity observations which showed high involvement and enthusiasm in the very good category throughout the learning process. Student learning outcomes showed an average score of 85.12 with classical completeness reaching 87% where 34 out of 39 students were declared to have passed, so it can be concluded that the implementation of Educaplay interactive learning media is able to create an active, interactive, enjoyable learning atmosphere and has a positive impact on student learning outcomes in IPAS learning in elementary school

Abstract

ABSTRACT The teacher code of ethics is a set of moral and professional norms that serve as guidelines for teachers’ behavior in carrying out educational duties. The existence of a code of ethics is very important in maintaining the honor of the teaching profession, improving the quality of educational services, and creating healthy relationships between teachers, students, parents, and society. This paper aims to explain the concept of the Indonesian teacher code of ethics, its functions, principles, implementation, and challenges in its application in the modern educational world. The method used is a literature study through the review of books and recent scientific journals. The results of the study indicate that the code of ethics functions as a guide for professional behavior, a tool of social control, professional protection, and a foundation for improving the quality of education. However, its implementation still faces obstacles such as low understanding, weak supervision, and the influence of the work environment. Therefore, continuous guidance is needed so that the code of ethics can be implemented optimally.
