Abstract

Nutritional knowledge needs to be developed from an early age because it forms the foundation for children to develop healthy eating habits and a healthy lifestyle. However, in reality, early childhood knowledge about healthy and nutritious food is still low. Children tend to be unable to recognize types of nutritious foods and the importance of consuming healthy foods in everyday life. This study aims to improve nutritional knowledge of children aged 5–6 years through the implementation of cooking classes based on Minangkabau culinary ethnopedagogy. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative approach. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were children aged 5–6 years. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation with an indicator of success if the child's nutritional knowledge reaches an average score of 75% or the category of Developing According to Expectations (BSH). The results of the study indicate that the implementation of cooking classes based on Minangkabau culinary ethnopedagogy can improve nutritional knowledge of children aged 5–6 years. This improvement was carried out through the following steps: the teacher explained the cooking class activities, introduced traditional Minangkabau food tools and ingredients, introduced the nutritional content of food, guided children in simple cooking activities, provided an understanding of the importance of healthy and nutritious food, and conducted a question and answer session about the children's experiences after the activity. In addition to improving nutritional knowledge, the cooking class activities also helped introduce Minangkabau culinary culture and develop children's motor, social, language, and independence skills. The success of the study was marked by achieving an average score of at least 89%.

Abstract

Early numeracy skills are part of early childhood cognitive development and serve as a crucial foundation for understanding number concepts and basic mathematics. This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in improving the early numeracy skills of children with autism in Group B at Anugerah Preschool. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a naturalistic approach, this study involved one teacher as the research subject to identify the teacher’s role as an instructor, facilitator, motivator, and administrator. Data collection was conducted comprehensively through direct observation of classroom learning processes, semi-structured interviews with the classroom teacher, and documentation of the curriculum and daily learning assessment results of the children. The results of the study indicate that the teacher has effectively fulfilled her roles through individualized and visual approaches. As instructors and facilitators, teachers utilized number cards in a step-by-step manner (sequencing, identifying, labeling) combined with the repeated demonstration method. As motivators, the teachers provided positive verbal and nonverbal reinforcement to foster the children’s self-confidence. As administrators, the teachers developed intermediate-level curriculum guidelines that were adaptively tailored to the attention span and language abilities of children with autism.

Abstract

This study investigates language variation employed by food vloggers on TikTok and examines its subsequent influence on how audiences communicate in digital spaces. As short-form video content continues to reshape sociolinguistic norms among Indonesian youth, food vloggers have emerged as influential language agents who blend Bahasa Indonesia with English, deploy culinary-specific slang, and adopt trending expressions that resonate with younger audiences. Drawing on a qualitative descriptive approach, this research collected data from TikTok food vlogs, including video transcripts, captions, comments, and hashtags, from five prominent Indonesian food vlogger accounts throughout 2023 to 2024. The analysis was guided by sociolinguistic frameworks proposed by Labov (1972), Hymes (1974), Fishman (1972), and Trudgill (2000). Findings reveal four dominant patterns of language variation: code switching between Bahasa Indonesia and English, code mixing within single utterances, the use of culinary slang, and the appropriation of prestige language to construct social identity. Expressions such as "worth it," "creamy banget," "hidden gem," and "healing sambil ngopi" are not merely descriptive but serve as markers of modern, globally-oriented identity. Audience analysis further shows that followers increasingly replicate these linguistic patterns in their comment sections, suggesting a significant bidirectional influence between content creators and viewers. This study contributes to growing scholarly interest in digital sociolinguistics, youth language, and the role of social media influencers in shaping communicative norms.

Abstract

Proses seleksi literatur dilakukan melalui tahapan Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA), sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik dan sintesis naratif.

Abstract

Stimulating gross motor development in early childhood is crucial because it impacts children’s physical, social, and emotional abilities. Observations conducted at Budi Mulya Kindergarten in Solok Regency revealed that some children still struggle with gross motor activities such as running while maintaining balance, moving quickly, and following game rules. This study involved 15 children and employed the action research (PTK) method. Planning, implementation of interventions, observation, and reflection were part of the two research cycles. To collect data, children’s activities were observed during a game of hide-and-seek. The children’s gross motor development levels were measured in each cycle using percentages. The results of the study indicate that the traditional game of hide-and-seek is capable of significantly improving children’s gross motor skills, as evidenced by improvements in their ability to run, maintain balance, move quickly, and follow game rules more effectively. Therefore, the traditional game of hide-and-seek can be used as an effective learning alternative to enhance the gross motor skills of young children while simultaneously supporting the development of their fine motor skills

Abstract

The low mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of quadrilaterals among fourth grade students at UPT SD Negeri Kutorejo 3 Tuban were caused by teacher centered learning practices and the limited use of interactive learning media. This situation led students to experience difficulties in understanding quadrilateral concepts and reduced their active participation during the learning process. This study aimed to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of quadrilaterals through the implementation of drag-and-drop media for fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri Kutorejo 3. The study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles consisting of the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 26 students, consisting of 11 boys and 15 girls. Data were collected through tests, observations, and interviews. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches were used for data analysis. The findings demonstrated that the implementation of drag and drop media successfully improved students’ learning outcomes in the quadrilateral topic. The percentage of learning mastery increased from 34.6% in the pre-cycle to 69.2% in Cycle I and further increased to 88.5% in Cycle II. This improvement occurred because the use of drag-and-drop media enhanced students’ attention, participation, and engagement during the learning process, enabling them to better understand the material and concepts of quadrilaterals. Therefore, the implementation of drag and drop media was effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of quadrilaterals among fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri Kutorejo 3 Tuban.
