Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Qur’anic learning at Islamic elementary schools represents an emerging phenomenon that challenges educators to balance technological efficiency with the preservation of spiritual values. This study aims to uncover the essence of the experiences of two teachers at SD Al-Mujtahid, Sorong City, in interpreting, implementing, and reflecting on the use of AI in their teaching practice. Employing a qualitative transcendental phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and subsequently analyzed using Moustakas's systematic procedures. The findings reveal that: (1) AI functions as a spiritual assistive tool that strengthens, rather than diminishes, the role of the teacher; (2) the real-time tajwid correction features offered by applications such as Tarteel and Qaloon provide significant pedagogical benefits, albeit accompanied by infrastructural challenges; and (3) the dialectical tension between technological efficiency and the spiritual (ruhiyah) dimension serves as a catalyst for deeper pedagogical reflection. The study concludes that AI integration is inherently dialectical, with teachers positioning technology not as a replacement, but as a holistic spiritual partner in the Qur’anic learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms, functions, and meanings of deixis in the lyrics of the Sabu traditional songs *Ele Moto* and *O Naweni Tana E* through a cultural pragmatics perspective. Unlike previous studies on deixis, which mainly focused on linguistic classification, this research highlights the relationship between the use of deixis and the construction of the cultural identity of the Sabu community. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a pragmatic approach. The data consisted of deictic words, phrases, and expressions found in the song lyrics, collected through documentation, observation, and note-taking techniques. The data were analyzed through identification, classification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed 25 deictic expressions consisting of person, place, time, discourse, and social deixis. Place deixis was found to be the most dominant type. This dominance indicates that geographical space in Sabu culture functions not merely as a marker of location, but also as a symbol of identity, collective memory, and emotional attachment to the homeland. This study confirms that deixis in traditional songs serves as a representation of the relationship between language, culture, and the social experiences of the community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the necessity of establishing a specialized electoral court with the authority to adjudicate various categories of electoral disputes as stipulated in the election law, namely administrative election violations, electoral process disputes, election result disputes, and electoral criminal offenses. Currently, each category of electoral dispute is handled by different institutions, creating the potential for overlapping jurisdictions that may affect the quality and consistency of judicial decisions. Therefore, the establishment of a specialized electoral court is essential to safeguard the integrity of elections while ensuring legal certainty and justice in the resolution of electoral disputes. This study employs a normative legal research method, which involves examining legal materials collected from various sources, including academic journals, books, legislation, and official websites, to address the research questions formulated in this study. The findings indicate the urgent need for a specialized electoral court, supported by a comprehensive legal framework governing the appointment of judges, institutional design, and procedural law. Such a framework is expected to enable electoral cases to be resolved in a simple, expeditious, and effective manner, thereby strengthening electoral integrity.

Abstract

Evaluation of learning plays a strategic role in determining the achievement of students' competencies. Appropriate evaluation not only measures learning outcomes but also provides information regarding students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of learning evaluation in measuring students' competency achievement in the learning process. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review by examining various scientific publications, educational policy documents, and previous research related to learning evaluation. The findings indicate that effective learning evaluation must fulfill the principles of validity, reliability, objectivity, continuity, and comprehensiveness. Various evaluation techniques, including formative assessment, summative assessment, authentic assessment, performance assessment, portfolio assessment, and project-based assessment, provide a more comprehensive picture of students' competency achievement than conventional written tests. In addition, evaluation results function as the basis for improving learning quality, determining follow-up actions, and enhancing teachers' instructional strategies. Therefore, implementing comprehensive and competency-based learning evaluation contributes significantly to improving educational quality and developing students' competencies according to the objectives of the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Indonesian language instruction on the topics of formal and personal letters in the 7th grade at SMPN 7 Medan using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with an evaluative research design. Data were obtained through video observations of the learning process and documentation of learning materials, including the In-Depth Lesson Plan (RPM), worksheets (LKPD), learning media, assessments, and student assignment results. The results of the study indicate that in terms of context, objectives, content, activities, and assessment, the teaching aligns with the targeted competencies. In terms of input, the learning tools used by teachers were comprehensive and supported active learning through the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and the Deep Learning approach. In terms of process, students were active in discussions, analysis, and presentations, although there were still challenges in time management, classroom management, and support for students who were slow learners. In terms of product, most students were able to identify and analyze formal and personal letters effectively and demonstrated fairly good critical thinking skills. Based on the evaluation results, the implementation of learning has gone quite well and supports active and meaningful learning. However, the development of HOTS assessments, the use of interactive media, and differentiated learning support still need to be improved.

Abstract

Arabic language occupies a strategic position in religious, academic, and economic dimensions globally. This study aims to analyze the urgency of Arabic language learning in the era of globalization through a systematic literature review approach. The study was conducted by reviewing 25 sources of literature published between 2010–2024, obtained from the Google Scholar, Garuda, and DOAJ databases, using the keywords "Arabic learning," "Arabic language urgency," and "Arabic globalization." Inclusion criteria included peer-reviewed journal articles, books from reputable publishers, and reports from international institutions. The analysis results show that: (1) Arabic has fundamental spiritual value as the language of the Quran and Islamic ritual worship; (2) learning Arabic has proven positive effects on cognitive development, particularly in visual-spatial ability and logical analysis; and (3) competency in Arabic opens significant economic opportunities in the Middle East, the Islamic tourism sector, and international diplomacy. These findings indicate that Arabic language learning policies in Indonesia need to be oriented toward global competency, not merely religious contexts.

Abstract

The gross motor skills of 4–5-year-old children at Mendalo Darat State Kindergarten No. 15 have not yet developed optimally, as evidenced by their poor balance, agility, and flexibility during physical activities. This situation is influenced by teaching methods that remain conventional, resulting in children being less active and easily bored. This study aims to improve the gross motor skills of 4–5-year-old children through the application of the Serampang Laut creative dance. The study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects consisted of 12 children in Group A at State Kindergarten 15 Mendalo Darat. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods based on indicators of balance, agility, and flexibility. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Serampang Laut creative dance was able to gradually improve the children’s gross motor skills in each cycle. The children became more active and enthusiastic and were able to perform basic movements with better body coordination. The percentage of students meeting the classical mastery criteria at the end of the study reached 96%, exceeding the established success indicator of 85%. Thus, the Serampang Laut creative dance art form has proven effective as a fun and meaningful learning alternative for stimulating the gross motor development of young children

Abstract

Fine motor skills in early childhood are a developmental aspect requiring optimal stimulation due to their impact on learning readiness. Preliminary observations at the Mutiara Hati Integrated Islamic Early Childhood Education (PAUD) center in Jambi City revealed that the fine motor skills of children in Group B were low, with an achievement level of only 35%; consequently, a more engaging and effective instructional strategy was needed. This study aimed to enhance children's fine motor skills through the implementation of finger painting techniques. The study employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted over two cycles—each comprising planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 15 children from Group B at the Mutiara Hati Integrated Islamic PAUD center. Data collection involved observation, documentation, and the assessment of child development. The results demonstrated that the finger painting technique successfully improved the children's fine motor skills incrementally. The achievement percentage for fine motor skills rose from 35% in the pre-cycle stage to 49.51% in Cycle I, reaching 82.37% in Cycle II. This improvement indicates that finger painting activities are effective in fostering eye-hand coordination, finger muscle strength, precision, and creativity. Thus, finger painting serves as an innovative instructional alternative for optimizing fine motor development in early childhood

Abstract

The use of instructional media in elementary schools faces several challenges, including overly formal learning materials, limited classroom interaction, and students' low interest in the learning process. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach to develop an interactive educational game in the form of a Wordwall-based interactive PowerPoint to support first-grade students in learning the Indonesian language. The development process followed the ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected using validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and student activity observation sheets. The research participants were three-grade students at SD Negeri Cilenggang 02 Tangerang Selatan. The findings indicate that the developed Wordwall-based educational game integrated into an interactive PowerPoint is valid, practical, and effective as a learning medium. The material validation achieved a feasibility score of 87.4%, while media validation reached 87%, indicating that the product is highly feasible for classroom use. The limited and field trials demonstrated a practicality score of 95%, confirming that the media is easy to use in the learning process. Furthermore, the effectiveness evaluation showed a student activity score of 89.5%, indicating that the media successfully promoted active student participation during learning. Therefore, the Wordwall-based educational game developed through interactive PowerPoint is considered an appropriate and effective instructional medium for teaching the Indonesian language in elementary schools.
