One of the teaching workers is elementary school teachers. Teachers are a vulnerable group and are at risk of experiencing problems in physical and psychological health. The psychological health problem that is often encountered in teachers is work stress. Teachers who experience work stress can be identified through their absence from class, increased emotions, and the illnesses they experience. One way for teachers to reduce work stress is to build self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is a belief in the teacher's ability to carry out teaching tasks. This research aims to determine the description of self-efficacy in elementary school teachers. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with a cross sectional approach which was carried out in elementary schools in the working areas of the Kembaran Regional Headquarters Office and the Purbalingga National Education Department Korwilcam Office. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The sample size of elementary school teachers was 25 people. The research instrument is the Teacher Sense of Efficacy Scale (TSES) questionnaire consisting of 12 items. The analysis used is quantitative descriptive. The results of this research show that 25 teachers have moderate category self-efficacy, indicated by the highest score in class management abilities. Teacher self-efficacy is the teacher's ability to engage students, classroom management, and teaching. Teacher self-efficacy is very important to be able to optimize teacher performance in the learning process.

Abstract

Labor pain is a physiological condition and is something that is usually felt by pregnant women in the third trimester. However, if it is not treated with proper pain management, it will cause other problems, including anxiety, stress/depression, muscle tension and feelings of worry. Labor pain can be reduced by using the Endorphin Massage technique, where this technique is therapy or massage carried out through the surface of the skin so that it can increase the feeling of comfort and can result in a block against painful stimuli. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of endorphin massage to reduce back pain in third trimester pregnant women. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental design whose design uses one group pretest-posttest. The number of samples in this study was 15 third trimester pregnant women with back pain. Data analysis was carried out using univariate and bivariate methods using non-parametric tests with the Wilcoxon test, because the Wilcoxon test is used as an alternative to the paired sample t test if the research data is not normally distributed. The results of this study show a significant value of 0.00, which means that the value of 0.00 is less than 0.05, indicating that there is a difference before and after the endorphine massage technique is given.

Abstract

Osteomyelitis is an infectious disease of the musculoskeletal system that can cause inflammation of the bones and joints caused by infectious agents. To date, there has been an increase in Osteomyelitis cases especially in individuals with comorbidities. The aimed of this study was to explore the frequent cases of chronic ankle joint osteomyelitis experienced by the public and provide new insights into the future treatment of this disease. In this study, we report the case of a patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus who developed osteomyelitis due to a wound caused by a scratch on a prickly pandanus leaf mat. A 58-year-old man presented to the emergency room with complaints of sores and pain, accompanied by swelling of the right foot. The wound on the leg oozed pus had an odor, and the patient had difficulty walking and fever for two weeks. Her hemoglobin level was 10 mg/dl, her leukocyte count was 20,040/µL, her current blood sugar level was 323 mg/dL, her 2-hour PP blood sugar level was 415 mg/dL, and her HbA1c level was 12. On foot examination, a CRT of < 2 s was found, and the degree of dorsal pedic artery pulsation was weak. An opaque area was observed in the ankle joint of the right foot, accompanied by a distal 1/3 epi-metaphyseal fracture of the right fibula bone with swelling, a distal 1/3 epiphyseal deformity of the right tibia bone, and a calcaneal spur on X-ray. Trauma and systemic risk factors such as diabetes mellitus were found in the patient, increasing the risk of worsening chronic osteomyelitis. The principles of osteomyelitis management include optimizing the patient's general condition; performing pharmacological debridement, reconstruction, and stabilization; and completing rehabilitation. Recent insights highlight the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, advanced diagnostic tools, antibiotic stewardship, novel therapies, and patient-centered care to improve outcomes for individuals affected by this challenging condition in the future.

Abstract

Wood processing generally involves the use of large machines for cutting and grinding. This process is customized according to consumer needs. During wood processing, workers are exposed to noise generated by machines, with an average level exceeding 85 dBA. These workers typically work eight hours a day with a one-hour break. The impact of this noise extends beyond hearing loss, as it also disrupts the workers' sleep quality. This study aims to examine the relationship between noise levels and sleep quality among wood processing workers, specifically at UD. Adhi Santa in Tabanan, Bali, which serves as the research site. The study design employed was a cross-sectional study with a sample population of 40 wood processing workers who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Noise levels were measured using a sound level meter in the work machine area, while sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleeping Quality Index (PSQI). The data were analyzed using computer software, utilizing Spearmans to determine the significant relationship between noise levels and sleep quality among workers in the wood processing factory. The results indicated that, out of the 40 workers, the analysis revealed a significant relationship between noise levels and sleep quality (p = 0.002, p < 0.05). In conclusion, it can be stated that there is indeed a significant relationship between noise levels and sleep quality among wood processing workers.
