Abstract

Bullying in adolescents is a serious problem that has a negative impact on the victim's mental health, academic performance and social relationships. Bullying prevention efforts are very important to create a safe and supportive school environment. Although many interventions have been developed, their effectiveness varies, and there remains a gap in the literature regarding the best approaches to preventing bullying in adolescents. Objective: This study aims to explore existing bullying prevention interventions and assess their effectiveness through a scoping review. Method: The method used is a scoping review by searching for articles from three main databases, namely Scopus, PubMed, and CINAHL, as well as one search engine, Google Scholar. Keywords used included “bullying prevention,” “adolescents,” “intervention,” “school,” and “community.” Inclusion criteria included studies involving adolescents aged 12–18 years, focused on bullying prevention interventions, and published in English. Data was analyzed descriptively qualitatively. Results: The results show that there are six articles that discuss interventions to prevent bullying in adolescents. The results of this study indicate that education, role play, and group discussions can significantly prevent bullying behavior. This success is due to a comprehensive approach involving all stakeholders and the use of interactive methods that encourage active student participation. Variables that influence intervention effectiveness include social support, student engagement, and consistency of program implementation. Conclusion: The implementation of interventions must be consistent and sustainable, as well as the involvement of all relevant parties, is very important to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

COVID-19 was an emerging disease that can be transmitted rapidly via droplets and aerosols with a high mortality rate. During pandemic, nurses had a high risk of contracting COVID-19 so efforts to prevent transmission need to be made by using personal protective equipment (PPE). N95 masks were the standard personal protective equipment recommended by WHO, however wearing N95 masks for a long period of time can cause physiological stress, namely breathing, body heat balance, vision, communication, feeling comfortable, difficulty eating and sneezing as well as other PPE worn. This study aimed to identify the effect of using N95 masks on oxygen saturation, hemodynamic status and physical performance in nurses at X Hospital. The research method used was a pre-experimental design, one group pre and post test, including one intervention group that measured lung function and physical performance. The sampling technique in this research was non-probability sampling with purposive sampling of 94 respondents. Respondents underwent a pretest, then lung function and physical performance were examined after 4 hours of using an N95 mask. The results of data analysis using the Wilxocon test showed that there were differences in oxygen saturation (p-value = 0.000), hemodynamic status such as respiratory frequency (p-value = 0.000), systolic blood pressure (p-value = 0.012) and pulse frequency (p- value = 0.000), as well as the physical performance of nurses (p-value = 0.000) before and after using the N95 mask. The results of this research can contribute to standardizing the use of PPE and preventing complications due to changes in oxygen saturation and hemodynamic status so that nurses physical performance improves.

Abstract

The industrial sector is a significant contributor to employment in Indonesia, necessitating the availability of skilled and competent workers. Enhancing worker productivity is crucial for companies to remain competitive, as it allows for the production of goods within predetermined proportions in a shorter timeframe. Productivity among workers is influenced by various factors, notably their nutritional status and health. This study aims to explore the relationship between nutritional status and productivity among production workers at Pt. Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk Ppb in North Sumatra. The research employs a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional study design, involving a sample of 63 workers from a total of 410 in the production department. Data collection tools included scales and microtoise for height measurement, with data analysis conducted using the chi-square test at a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The study found that out of the 63 workers, 27 (42.9%) were classified as productive, while 36 (57.1%) were deemed unproductive. The chi-square test results indicated a significant relationship between nutritional status and worker productivity (P value = 0.049). The study concludes that nutritional status significantly affects labor productivity, with normal nutritional status being a key factor in enhancing work performance.

Abstract

The Antimicrobial Resistance Control Committee explains that the rate of bacterial resistance in Indonesia has continued to increase from 40% in 2013 to 60.4% in 2019. One of the causes of antibiotic resistance is the lack of information regarding antibiotic knowledge among the general public. Preliminary study results show that the community knowledge in Banjaran Hamlet about the use of antibiotics is still low at 40%. The Indonesian Pharmacists Association created the health education program DAGUSIBU (Get, Use, Store, Dispose) as part of the Family Medicine Awareness Movement to improve the quality of life for the community. This study aims to determine the level of community knowledge about DAGUSIBU antibiotics in Banjaran Hamlet, Wonosari District, Klaten Regency. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative, utilizing a questionnaire to assess community knowledge about DAGUSIBU antibiotics. The sample size was calculated using the Slovin formula, resulting in a sample of 190 respondents. The study results in Banjaran Hamlet showed that 71.58% fell into the good knowledge category, while 28.42% fell into the poor knowledge category. The results of this study are expected to help the community improve their knowledge about the proper use of DAGUSIBU antibiotics.
