Abstract

Cultivating mustard greens with a hydroponic system was a profitable business opportunity and is very suitable to run during the Covid 19 pandemic. Added value has an important role in the hydroponic farmer's decision-making process regarding whether or not to run a mustard vegetable cultivation business opportunity. This study aims to determine the added value of family economic results from the entrepreneurial results of hydroponic mustard cultivation using the wick system during the Covid 19 pandemic. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study. The quantitative analysis carried out includes analysis of costs, revenues, profits, profitability, analysis of business efficiency, and added value. Data analysis to calculate the added value using the Hayami method. Based on the results of the analysis of the value-added analysis of hydroponic mustard cultivation using the wick system during the covid 19 pandemic, it was concluded that the total cost was Rp. 404.400,- total receipt of Rp. 720,000,-; profit value Rp. 315,600,- while the added value from hydroponic mustard cultivation activities, the added value obtained from hydroponic vegetables is Rp. 68.000/kg While the ratio of the added value of hydroponic mustard is 38.20% meaning 38.20 percent of the output value is the added value obtained from hydroponic vegetable cultivation.

Abstract

The part of the mustard plant consumed is the young leaves. This research aims to determine the composition of the media and the best dose of compound fertilizer that can increase the yield of mustard greens. The method used in this research was factorial with the basic pattern of Completely Randomized Group Design with two treatments and 3 replications. The first factor is the composition of planting media: soil: sand: manure (M) which consists of three levels: M1 = 1 : 1 : 1, M2 = 1 : 1 : 2, M3 = 1 : 1: 3. While the second factor is Compound fertilizer dosage (D): D0: No fertilizer, D1: 1 g/polybag, D2: 2 g/polybag, D3 : 3 g/polybag. It will be held in February – May 2021, in the village of Bejen, Karanganyar. The treatment composition of planting media and various doses of compound fertilizer significantly affected plant height, dry stover weight, root volume and had a very significant effect on the number of leaves, fresh stover weight, plant weight, and consumption weight per plant. The highest consumption weight was 126.34 g/plant, obtained from the composition of the growing media: soil: sand: manure = 1: 1: 3, and the dose of compound fertilizer was 3 g/polybag. The lowest consumption weight was 87.07 g/plant, the composition of the soil medium: sand: manure = 1: 1: 1 and without compound fertilizer application.

Abstract

The salibu rice is a modification from ratoon rice system. The application of inorganic fertilizers can increase the salibu rice yield. This study aims to know the optimum dose of urea and NPK Phonska fertilizers to maximize the salibu rice yield. This experiment was a pot experiment arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial with three replications. The first factor was the dose of urea fertilizer consisted of three levels, namely: 100, 200, and 300 kg ha-1. The second factor was the dose of NPK Phonska fertilizer which consisted of three levels, namely: 100, 200, and 300 kg ha-1. In the study, added one treatment as a control (without treatment). The results showed that urea and NPK Phonska could be increased leaf greenery, tillers number, canopy dry weight, and dry weight of grain per hectare. The optimum dose of urea fertilizer was found at 317.6 kg ha-1 and yielded a maximum grain dry weight of 4.96 tons ha-1, and the optimum dose of Phonska NPK fertilizer was obtained at 231.7 kg ha-1 and gave the maximum grain dry weight of 4.71 tons ha-1. The findings of the study indicate that the interval application of urea fertilizer has not reached the optimum dose, while the NPK Phonska fertilizer is found at 231.7 kg ha-1. In future research suggest that the application of urea fertilizer can be increased with doses higher than 300 kg ha-1 in the salibu rice cultivation.

Abstract

Central Java Province is one of the national food buffer provinces. Central Java province has good soil fertility so that the agricultural sector can become the leading sector in this province. One of the commodities cultivated in the Karanganyar Regency is rice with the Inpari 33 variety. This study aims to determine the analysis of the productivity of Inpari 33 rice in Karanganyar Regency and the production factors that affect the productivity of Inpari 33 rice varieties. This study was conducted in 3 villages, namely Jati Village. , Suruh Kalang Village and Jetis Village in Jaten District, Karanganyar Regency in the second planting season, namely April-July. The sample was taken as many as 90 farmers from the 3 villages intentionally with the consideration that farmers grow rice varieties inpari 33 and are active in farmer group membership. The data analysis method used in this research is the analysis of productivity and production functions of Cobb-Douglass. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the average production of Inpari 33 rice owned by farmers in Karanganyar Regency is 1,367.14 kg of dry milled grain. Farmers' rice productivity reached a value of 4,538.08 kg per hectare. Factors that affect rice productivity are land area, number of seeds, urea fertilizer, SP36, NPK, organic fertilizers, solid pesticides and the number of workers.

Abstract

Vanilla plant (Vanilla planifolia Andrews) is a spice plant that has high economic value. Vanilla growth is slow, so special treatment is needed so that its growth can be maximized. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving Moringa bokashi and Binucleat-Rhizoctonia (BNR) on the growth of vanilla. The research was carried out at the Green House of Tunas Pembangunan University, Surakarta, Jl. Balekambang Lor No.1 at an altitude of 105 meters above sea level, on October 2019 - February 2020. This study used the factorial method with the basic pattern of Completely Randomized Block Design (RAKL) which consisted of 2 treatments with 3 replications. The first factor, Moringa bokasi dose (P) which consists of 4 levels, namely: P0: 50 g/plant, P1: 100 g/plant, P2: 150 g/plant, P3: 200 g/plant. While the second factor is: the dose of Rhizoctonia binucleate (R) which consists of 3 levels, namely: R0: 5 g/plant, R1: 10 g/plant, R2: 15 g/plant. Giving Moringa bokashi and BNR had a very significant effect on the number of leaves, and had a significant effect on plant height, and had no significant effect on the parameters of root length, fresh root weight, dry root weight, fresh stover weight and dry stover weight. The highest dry weight was found in the P3R0 treatment weighing 5.73 g and the lowest in the P2R1 treatment weighing 1.23 g.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of spacing from subsurface irrigation sources and soil type on the growth and yield of watermelon plants. The research was carried out in the experimental field in Sukosari Village, Karanganyar Regency, with sub-irrigation using clay pots. The experiment used a nesting design with 2 types of soil, namely Alfisol (T1) and Entisol (T2), and the spacing of 4 plants from clay pots was 5 cm (J1), 10 cm (J2), 15 cm (J3), and 20 cm. cm (J4). The research data were analyzed by ANOVA, and if it had a significant effect, then Duncan's test was continued, at a 95% confidence level. The results showed that the treatment of jatropha affected the growth and yield of watermelon plants. Planting distance of 5 cm caused plant height, fruit weight, shoot fresh weight, and shoot dry weight to be higher than other treatments. The type of soil that produced the best watermelon plants was Entisol soil were plant height, shoot fresh weight, and shoot dry height were higher than in Alfisol soil, but for fruit weights the two were not much different.

Abstract

Tea (Camellia sinensis Lidenam.) is a plant whose shoots are taken for a beverage. Tea plants are susceptible to attack by Plant Pest Organisms (OPT) which have the potential to reduce yields by up to 30%, in severe attacks can reduce production by up to 50%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tobacco biopesticide treatment on the intensity of attack and the percentage of pest attack (Thrips tabaci lidenam) on the shoots of tea plants. The study was carried out at PT Rumpun Sari Kemuning in Kemuning, Ngargoyoso, Karanganyar, on April 1 - June 29, 2021. This study used a Completely Randomized Block Design method with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The first treatment was J0: Control, J1: 0.05% Biopesticide Concentration, J2: 0.1% Biopesticide Concentration, J3: 0.15% Biopesticide Concentration, J4: 0.20% Biopesticide Concentration, J5: 0.25 Biopesticide Concentration %, the biopesticide treatment was carried out 12 times. The results of this study showed that the use of tobacco biopesticide 0.20% gave the best results against the percentage of pest attacks, namely 40.00%. And the use of 0.25% biopesticide gave the best results against the percentage of pest attack intensity of 8.75%.

Abstract

Indonesian people will feel bland if they eat without chilli, the raw material is chilli, so people still consume chilli even though the price is expensive. This study aims to determine the effect of polybag size and interval of application of liquid organic fertilizer on banana stems on the growth and yield of Dewata's cayenne pepper that is cultivated organically in polybags. This study used a Completely Randomized Block Design (RAKL) with two treatment factors. The results showed that polybag size had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height, the weight of fresh stover, the weight of dry stover, number of red fruit, number of green fruit and weight of green fruit, and did not significantly affect parameters of number of flowers and weight of red fruit. The interval of POC administration of banana stems had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height, the weight of fresh stover, the weight of dry stover, number of flowers, number of red fruit, the weight of red fruit, number of green fruit and weight of green fruit. There was no interaction between polybag size and interval of administration of POC banana stems on growth and yield of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens. L) Dewata variety.

Abstract

Fertilization is needed by plants, including cayenne pepper. Organic fertilizers have advantages because of the complete composition of nutrients. Tea leaf dregs which is an organic fertilizer that contains a number of nutrients that are quite good for cayenne pepper plants. This study aims to determine the effect of tea leaf dregs compost on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper. The research was carried out in Beji village, East Ungaran, Semarang district from February to June 2017 with latosol soil type. The design used was a single factor completely randomized design with 18 replications. The levels were without tea leaf dregs compost, doses of tea leaf dregs compost were 10, 20, 30, and 40 tons/ha. The results showed that the most productive branches were at a dose of tea leaf dregs compost of 20 tons/ha, dry weight of stover 40 tons/ha, fruit weight per plant 30 tons/ha, and flowering age 20 tons/ha and harvest age 30 tons/ha. The conclusion of this study was that tea leaf dregs compost increased the number of productive branches, dry weight of stover and fruit weight per plant, and accelerated flowering and harvesting ages. The implication of this research is that the cultivation of cayenne pepper should use tea leaf dregs compost at a dose of 30 tons/ha.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Uji Dosis Pupuk K dan Berbagai Media Tanam terhadap Pertumbuhan, Hasil serta Interaksi dari Kedua perlakuan tersebut pada tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai bulan Oktober 2020 di Desa Jembungan, Kecamatan Banyudono, Kabupaten Boyolali dengan ketinggian tempat ± 195 mdpl dengan jenis tanah entisol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Faktorial dengan rancangan dasar Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas dua faktor dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu Dosis Pupuk K (K), terdiri 3 taraf : K1 = 100 kg/ha, K2 = 200 kg/ha, K3 = 300 kg/ha. Faktor kedua yaitu Media Tanam (M), terdiri 4 taraf : M1 = Media Tanam Tanah + Bokashi, M2 = Media Tanam Tanah + Pupuk kandang sapi, M3 = Media Tanam Tanah + Pupuk Kandang Kambing, M4 = Media Tanam Tanah + Cocopad. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1) Dosis pupuk K 200 kg/ha berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman dan brangkasan segar, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap jumlah daun, brangkasan kering dan semua parameter hasil tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). 2) Berbagai macam media tanam sangat berpengaruh terhadap semua parameter pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). 3) Perlakuan kombinasi dosis pupuk K dan macam media tanam tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter pertumbuhan dan parameter hasil tanaman Bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). 4) Perlakuan kombinasi dosis pupuk K dan macam media tanam yang terbaik yaitu dosis pupuk K 200 kg/ha dengan media tanam tanah + pupuk kandang sapi (K2M2) dengan hasil 20,79 g/tanaman (41,58 ton/ha).
