Abstract

Devotion with the title of potential plant extracts as natural pesticides in Salu village, Miomafo Barat district, TTU district was held in November 2018. The purpose of this service was to provide knowledge on how to increase food production through eradicating pests, providing knowledge about the advantages of natural pesticides compared to synthetic pesticides, and make soursop leaf extract as a natural pesticide. The main target of this activity is the farmers who are conducted through methods of lecture, brochure distribution, and product manufacturing training. This service activity was conducted in 3 sessions. The first session was socialization of ways to increase food production through eradicating pests. The second session is a socialization of the advantages of natural pesticides compared to synthetic pesticides. Making soursop extract as a natural pesticide is the third session that closes all the series of devotion. In addition to providing questions, farmers also provide personal experiences that are useful for the development of science. The coordination of the making of soursop extract indicates the high enthusiasm of the farmers in Salu village towards this devotion. The final product in this activity is soursop leaf extract which is ready to be applied to plants.

Abstract

Pengabdian dilaksanakan di SDK Eban I, Kecamatan Miomaffo Barat pada tanggal 09 Agustus 2018 sampai dengan tanggal 11 Agustus 2018 dengan jumlah peserta 33 orang. Metode yang digunakan adalah a) metode survey dan observasi, digunakan untuk memperoleh gambaran kebutuhan guru-guru SD Se-kecamatan Miomaffo Barat akan penulisan karya ilmiah PTK, peserta dan lokasi pelaksanaan kegiatan, b) metode ceramah dan tanya jawab, digunakan pada saat menyampaikan materi PTK yang sifatnya teoritis dan c) metode diskusi dan latihan, digunakan pada saat tahap diskusi setelah penyampaian materi, latihan penulisan proposal PTK dan penulisan laporan PTK. Data awal menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru sangat membutuhkan bimbingan teknis karya tulis ilmiah dengan memberikan respon positif sebesar 87,88%. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru sudah mampu mengidentifikasi masalah, merumuskan judul dan menulis proposal PTK. Para guru memberikan respon positif sebesar 81,82% terhadap materi yang disampaikan dan berusaha menulis proposal dan laporan hasil PTK. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru sangat antusias dengan materi karya tulis ilmiah PTK sebagai pengembangan profesionalisme guru. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru-guru SD-sekecamatan Miomaffo Barat sangat membutuhkan materi penulisan karya tulis ilmiah PTK demi pengembangan profesionalisme guru. Dengan kegiatan ini juga para guru telah mampu mengidentifikasi masalah, merumuskan judul dan menulis proposal PTK.

Abstract

Information and communication technology has now developed rapidly in community, especially among students. However, there are still many who have not been able to utilize it properly, such as the problem that occurred in SMAN 1 Kefamenanu. Utilization of information and communication technology in this school has not been maximized due to facilities and infrastructure in the computer laboratory in SMAN 1 Kefamenanu. There are still a number of damaged computers or operating systems that have not been installed. From the problems above, the service activity was carried out with the title Computer Installation and Use of E-Info at SMAN 1 Kefamenanu. The results of the community service activities were: the use of computer laboratory becomes more maximal and with the introduction of the use of e-info to students, so students can apply the use of information and communication technology in the teaching and learning process in SMAN Kefamenanu.

Abstract

The main problems in primary school of MIN TTU-Kefamenanu were: (i) the unavailability of mathematics manipulatives for helping teacher and students learn meaningfully; (ii) there has never been a workshop about mathematics manipulatives. The method that used in this workshop : lectures, demonstration, direct practices, discussion, and assignment. The manipulatives that are used are Numeral Ruler, Positives-Negatives Cards, LCM and GCF Puzzle, Magic Square, Canadian Multiplication, Congklak , Cayley Tables, Math Snake-Ladders Game, Hanoi Tower and Tangram. All of these manipulatives were made from garbage and used goods. The workshop held in 3 days which was the first day focus on teachers and the next two days was focus on practice of using manipulatives which involved students grade 4th, 5th and 6th. The results from questionnaire showed that i) 33.33% of participants strongly agreed and 66.67% of workshop participants agreed that the workshop material was well organized and the workshop content appropriate with curriculum in elementary schools, the manipulatives was interesting for students and helping them to learn while playing; ii) 80% of participants agreed and 20% strongly agreed that the practice guidelines with worksheets was well understood.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan pengabdian ini agar dapat membantu guru-guru matematika se-kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara dalam mengembangkan diri melalui kegiatan Bimbingan Teknis (BIMTEK) Penulisan Proposal dan Artikel Ilmiah terutama Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Sesuai tuntutan profesionalisme guru, maka PTK merupakan suatu kewajiban sehingga mutu pembelajaran pada kelas dan sekolah dapat terangkat serta masalah- masalah yang terdapat dalam pembelajaran dapat teratasi. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Sasi pada 14-16 Agustus 2018. Jumlah peserta yang hadir sebanyak 40 orang dengan pesertanya adalah guru – guru SD, guru-guru sekolah SMP bahkan ada guru TK. Kegiatan BIMTEK ini diawali dengan pemberian materi konsep umum PTK dan dilanjutkan dengan penulisan proposal PTK serta pendampingan penulisan proposal PTK. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan teknik penulisan laporan PTK dan teknik penulisan artikel ilmiah. Pada sesi tanya jawab umpan balik, banyak peserta yang memberikan respon dan mengakui kesempatan kali ini banyak hal teknis penulisan ilmiah yang cukup mendalam dan tajam yang kami dapatkan dibandingkan dengan kegiatan-kegiatan terdahulu yang pernah kami ikuti. Kami berharap dan usahakan agar konsep rancangan penelitian yang telah dikonsepkan akan berlanjut hingga menjadi artikel ilmiah.

Abstract

Syifa’ul Qolbi Orphanage holds supporting facility in the form of confection. In addition to a business, this confection functions as a place to train the orphans’ sewing skill. Yet the development of this business faces a number of obstacles such as traditional business management, sub-optimal marketing strategy, inefficient production tools and the training participants’ lack of motivation and entrepreneurship. This community service attempted to realize the orphanage management’s goal of developing their fashion business and developing entrepreneurship among the orphans so that they can optimize their potential in the future. Some of the programs have been held through community service. The programs were entrepreneurship workshop, pattern and design training, business management training, e-marketing training, branding and marketing concept, and business accompaniment. This community service results in the improvement of participant's motivation and entrepreneurship character, bussiness management knowledge,and skill in making pattern and design. Abstract

Adolescence is known as a critical and dynamic period. At this period, adolescents also have abundant energy. This energy certainly needs to be channeled to the right way or otherwise it potentially turned into the wrong way. The community devotion in the form of fiction writing training is one of the ways to channel the adolescent energy. It carried out with lectures, discussions, accompaniments and practices methods. The target of community devotion joined the training with great enthusiasm. The result achieved from this community devotion is that the target of community devotion became able to write uptheir ideas and creativities in the form of fiction.

Abstract

Community service has been carried out in the Nek'amnaut farmer group Kiusili village, Timor Tengah Utara district. The dedication was the use of eco-friendly herbicides made from salt, vinegar, water, and liquid soap. The dedication method was socialization and demonstration of making and spraying of the solution on weeds. Pre-service and post-service questionnaires were filled to find out farmer group knowledge of herbicides in general and the ability made environmentally friendly herbicides. The results showed that an eco-friendly herbicide solution has succeeded in killing weeds. Public knowledge changed from the category of not knowing to be well-informed, marked by an increased in the knowledge score (SP) from 24 to 76. The percentage of the number of farmer group members who well-informed changed from 0 to 83%. The ability category was change from unable to be very capable of making the herbicide, marked by the ability score (SK) increased from 0 to 83. The number of farmer group members who can make the herbicide increased from 0 to 89%. The intensity of the use of synthetic herbicides was decreased in the last three years. Five liters of an environmentally friendly herbicide solution killed weed in 48 m2 area.

Abstract

Penyuluhan yang berjudul Penerapan Pendidikan Matematika Dasar Menggunakan Pendekatan Realistik untuk Anak Usia Dini di Kelurahan Kampung Lapai mengajukan masalah bagaimana penerapan Pendidikan Matematika Dasar pada anak usia dini. Untuk mengatasi masalah di atas penulis mengajukan konsep agar anak usia dini bisa memahami pelajaran matematika dengan mudah dan menyenangkan. Pada anak usia dini perkembangan kemampuan matematis dimulai sejak kecil, dan berlanjut saat anak-anak berkembang secara mental, fisik, dan sosial, yang berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap perkembangan dan kemampuan mereka . Pendidikan matematika dapat diberikan kepada anak sejak usia 0-6 tahun. Anak pada usia 0-6 tahun perlu mendapaat perhatian khusus karena pada usis inilah kesiapan mental dan emosional anak mulai dibentuk. Pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) ikut serta dalam menjamin mutu pendidikan dan kebrhasilan akademis secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh kualitas masukan pendidikan yaitu kesiapan mental dan emosional anak memasuki sekolah dasar. Metode dari penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif.. Adapun sampel yang akan menjadi responden pada pengabdian ini adalah siswa PAUD Amanah dengan menggunakan analisis inferensial produc moment. Berdasarkan perhitungan diperoleh thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (5,231 > 1,694). Artinya terdapat hubungan positif yang tinggi atau kuat antara pendekatan realistik dan pemahaman matematika dasar pada anak usia dini

Abstract

The aim of this dedication is that it is expected that the community learning grade 4 elementary schools around the area will no longer find it difficult to understand mathematics after the introduction of learning that links mathematics with everyday life (Realistic Mathematics). This dedication uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The props used in this service are traditional snacks in the form of triangles and tempeh. Dedication was carried out for 4 meetings with 20 students. The results of the evaluation of the implementation of community service: 1) The community learns at the elementary school level (SD) get new knowledge and learning experiences in mathematics by using Realistic Mathematics (MR). 2) Learning using Realistic Mathematics (MR) increases students' interest and curiosity about mathematics. 3) By using Realistic Mathematics (MR) learning, students' understanding of mathematics becomes easier, so mathematics is no longer considered difficult. 4) The learning process becomes more colorful and meaningful with the use of Realistic Mathematics (MR) learning. 5) People learn to feel mathematics is a pleasant lesson seen from their enthusiasm when the learning process is ongoing.
