'A Jamiy: Arabic Language and Literature Journal (p-issn: 2252-9926 and e-issn: 2657-2206) is a scientific journal that has published scientific papers since 2012. This journal is a Linguistics and Literature journal that is published twice a year in June and September by the Arabic Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Muhammadiyah University, Gorontalo. This journal discusses language problems that are examined in the branches of applied linguistics, such as sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, critical discourse analysis, pragmatics, stylistics, corpus linguistics, and others. In the field of literature, it includes literary history, literary theory, literary criticism, and others, which may include written texts, films, and other media. We only accept scholarly papers written in Bahasa Indonesia, Arab and English.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of metaphorical language in the fable Al-Dīku Al-Żarīfu by Kamil Kailani. The method used in this research is descriptive analytic method with a qualitative approach. Data obtained through literature study and recording techniques. Data analysis was carried out using the equivalent technique between metaphors and their meanings as well as analytic descriptive techniques. The results of the study show that in the fable story Al-Dīku Al-Żarīfu by Kamil Kailani uses various kinds of metaphorical language styles which are quite diverse and creative in enriching the story. The use of metaphorical language style can be found in every part of the story, from character introduction to problem solving. Some of the metaphors found include personification, simile, metonymy and synesthesia. The use of metaphorical language style in the fable story Al-Dīku Al-Żarīfu can have a significant influence on the reader's understanding of the story. The use of metaphors makes it easier for the reader to imagine the situation that is happening and makes the story more lively and interesting. In addition, the use of metaphors also gives nuances of beauty and a deep impression to the story.

Abstract

Sastra Arab dengan eksistensi serta perannya terhadap peradaban dunia tak dapat dinafikkan terutama dari sudut pandang cendekiawan. Hal ini oleh sebab sastra Arab juga turut menyumbang potensinya pada terbentuknya peradaban saat ini. Selain itu sebagai seorang pelajar, perlu mengetahui apa saja pembentuk peradaban saat ini. Maka tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengungkap kontribusi tersebut, sehingga membuka mata bagi para pembaca dan merubah persepsi keliru yang kemungkinan ada dalam benak para pembaca. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kajian pustaka (Library Research). Hasil penelitian ini dibarengi dengan sejarah yang mengungkapkan implikasi nyata sastra Arab terhadap perkembangan peradaban. Sejarah menunjukkan, perkembangan terus mengalir dan satu-persatu menjadi komponen pembentuk majunya dan tegaknya peradaban dunia saat ini. Bagi pembaca serta peneliti selanjutnya, kiranya dapat mengambil manfaat serta terbuka terhadap tulisan ini. Karena keterbukaan terhadap ilmu pengetahuan ibarat dua sisi mata koin yang berbeda dengan tanpa justifikasi sepihak.

Abstract

Moral values in life become one of the important aspects in supporting life, especially social and community life. So that this becomes the main focus point, because there are many deviations in moral values in the Bodour character. So this research has the aim to describe how the form of moral values in the character Bodour in the novel Zeina by Nawal El. Saadawi. The method in this research is descriptive-qualitative method of content analysis with the perspective of Lucien Goldmann's genetic structuralism. The object of this study is the novel Zeina by Nawal El. Saadawi. The focus of this research is in the form of human facts, collective subjects, worldviews, structuring of literary works and dialectical methods which are explanations as analytical tools, which are associated with moral values in the novel. The instrument of this research is the researcher himself. the data analysis technique used by the researcher was reading Zeina's novel by Nawal El. Saadawi. Analyze moral values, enter the results of the analysis, and conclude the results of the analysis. The moral values of the mother figures analyzed in this study are: (1) Honesty, (2) willingness to take responsibility, (3) courage, (4) humility. The research results obtained from data analysis on Zeina's novel by Nawal El. Saadawi, stated that the moral value that stands out is a warning for women to always be able to choose the best environment, choose the right partner. Because it is an important aspect of life. The figure of Bodour herself has given a very significant picture of the role of women in the family, society and state.

Abstract

Priority And Delay is an Arabic style that prioritizes or ends lafadz with certain causes and purposes. The aims of this study are (1) to determine the form of taqdim wa takhir fii Juz Amma; (2) to find out the cause of Priority And Delay In Juz Amma. This study used qualitative research methods. The object of this research study is juz 30 in the Qur'an or known as Juz 'Amma. Data analysis by collecting data followed by classifying and identifying data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The result of this research is the discovery of 3 forms of Priority And Delay In Juz Amma and 5 causes of Priority And Delay In Juzz Amma.

Abstract

This research discusses Uslu>b al-Insya>' in the poem Habi>b 'Idrus about science with the sub-subject matter discussed is how is the conceptof Insya>' al-t}alabi> contained in the poem Habi>b 'Idru>s about science. Answering the subject matter mentioned above, this research uses several methods, this type of research can be categorized as descriptive qualitative research. As for the source of this research in the book Al-Kaukab Ad-Durri Fi Mana>qib wa Maa>s|ir As-Sayyid Al-Habi>b 'Idru>s bin Sa>lim Al-Jufri (Cet: I, Jakarta: Da>r al-Kutub al-Islamiyah, 2018). The approach used is a multidisciplinary approach. Data collection is carried out with direct quotations and indirect quotations. And data analysis is to analyze Analyzing the concept of forms or variations of Insya>' al-t}alabi > contained in the poem of the primacy of science with the knife of balagah science analysis. The results showed that the concept of Insha>' al-t}alabi> contained in Habi>b 'Idru>s poem about science as many as 29 forms of amar, as many as 6 forms of nahy>, as many as 5 forms of istifha>m, as many as 12 forms of nida>' and 2 form of tamanni.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze lyrics of Ana al-'Abdu, a song written by Mishary Rashid, using Charles Sanders Peirce's theory of Semiotics. The analysis will focus on Peirce's concept of trichotomy which includes icon, index, and symbol. The data were collected by copying lyric of the song from Arfan’s blogspot which mentions song’s lyric and its Indonesian translation. Secondary data were obtained from many sources such as; theses, articles, journals, books, and everything related to this research. As a qualitative writing, this article analyzes data by interpreting words and sentences of the song using Peirce’s theory descriptively. The analysis of the data is done through the description of meanings embodied in its words or sentences. As a result, this research finds that this song has a deep meaning of a sinful person who wants to repent, but his/her wishful thinking has protected him/her from doing so.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk repetisi dan fungsinya dalam puisi Risalah Min Tahta Al-Mai karya Nizar Qabbani. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, yang mana merupakan prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data secara deskriptif, berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari sumber yang diteliti. Sumber data utama dalam penelitian ini adalah puisi Risalah Min Tahta Al-Mai yang terkandung dalam kumpulan puisi Qasaid Mutawahisyah karya Nizar Qabbani. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik baca dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis repetisi yang ditemukan dalam puisi Risalah Min Tahta Al-Mai karya Nizar Qabbani adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Repetisi Anafora, (2) Repetisi Epizeuksis, (3) Repetisi Epistrofa, (4) Repetisi Mesodiaplosis. Sedangkan untuk makna serta fungsi penggunaan majas tersebut adalah sebagai berikut: (1) sebagai fungsi ekspresif dan emosional; (2) sebagai fungsi penekanan, konfirmasi, serta klarifikasi.

Abstract/ مستخلص البحثيحلل هذا البحث الفيلم محمد الفاتح 1453بإسخدام التحليل السيميائيلنظرية تشارلز ساندر بيرس، أي نظرية مثلث المعنى .(triangle meaning) الهدف من هذا البحث هو لمعرفة المعنى من ترجيم العلامات في كل المشهد الذي يمثله السلطان محمد الثانى أو محمد الفاتحفي أثناء يريد أن يفتح القسطنطينية من سلطان بيزنطة (إمبراطورية الرومانية).هذا البحث بحث مكتبي ونوع البحث المستخدم في هذا البحث هو بحث وصفي نوعي. واستخدمت الباحثتان المنهج الوصفي في تحليل البيانات. مصادر البيانات تتكون من مصدر البيان الأساسي ومصادر البيانات الثانوية. أما مصدر البيان الأساسي فهو فيلم محمد الفاتح 1453، وأما مصادر البيانات الثانوية المستخدمة فهي كتب سيميائية و مقالات متعلقة بهذا البحث. تشير نتيجة البحث إلى أنهناك العلامات اللفظية في مشهد السلطان محمد الفاتح  الذي تم تصيورها أثناء فتح القسطنطينية. نظرية مثلث المعنى لتشارلز ساندر بيرس تتكون منممثل العلامة(representament(، وموضع (object)يتكون من أيقونة (icon)، وفهرس(indeks)، ورمز(simbol)، ومترجم( interpretant).كل الرموز المترجمة في مشهد السلطان محمد الثاني يملك المعان الخاصة، منها المعنى الذي يشير إلى أن السلطان محمد الثاني هو قائد مؤمن وقوي جسمه وجسده و له فكر ذكي في استراتيج الحرب.Abstract/ مستخلص البحثPenelitian ini mengkaji Film Muhammad al-Fatih 1453 dengan menggunakan analisis semiotika menurut teori Charles Sanders Peirce yaitu teori segitiga makna.Tuuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna dari interpretasi tanda-tanda yang ada pada setiap adegan yang diperankan oleh Sultan Muhammad II (Muhammad al-Fatih) ketika merebut atau menaklukkan Konstantinopel dari kekuasaan Byzantium.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian putaka dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menganalisis data-data. Sumber primernya berupa film Muhammad al-Fatih 153, sedangkan sumber sekunder berasal dari buku-buku semiotika dan atikel-artikel yang terkait dengan pembahasan ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model segitiga makna terdiri dari representament (tanda), objek (ikon, indeks dan simbol, dan interpretasi. Symbol-simbol yang diinterpretasikan tersebut memiliki makna khusus, di antaranya makna yang menunjukkan bahwa Sultan Muhammad II adalah seorang pemimpin yang beriman, kuat jasmani dan rohaninya, serta cerdas dalam strategi perang.

Abstract

Ilmu sharaf atau dikenal dengan istilah morfologi merupakan ilmu yang mengkaji tentang perubahan bentuk kata dan merupakan salah satu cabang dari ilmu linguistik. Fi’il shahih terbagi menjadi tiga, yaitu: fi’il salim, fi’il mahmuz dan fi’il mudha’af.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui aspek morfologis yang terdapat pada surah An-Naba’. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada salah satu jenis fi’il yaitu fi’il shahih. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode library research (penelitian pustaka). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada surah An-Naba’ terdapat 18 fi’il shahih dan kesemuanya adalah fi’il shahih salim. Untuk pembaca dan peneliti berikutnya, kiranya dapat mengambil manfaat terhadap penelitian ini

Abstract

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف العلاقة بين اللغة وعلم الصرف(Morphology) لهما وثيقة الصلة قريبة جدًا وساعدت في قواعد علم الصرف على ولادة فروعها المتنوعة. ووجد البحث أن بعض الأفعال المزيدة الواردة في عدة أشكال من سورة النساء لها تشابه في الأفعال الأصلية ولكنها تختلف في الأفعال المزيدة وتؤثر على معاني مختلفة. الغرض من هذه الدراسة هو أولاً شرح أشكال الأفعال المزيدة أو كلمات إضافية في سورة النساء. ثانياً: شرح المعنى الوارد في كل نموذج في الأفعال المزيدة الوارد في سورة النساء. هذا النوع من البحث هو بحث في المكتبات. بجمع البيانات ، مثل نموذج في مزيد ، أكثرها تتكون على وزن أفعل وفاعل وفعّل من الفعل الثلاثي المزيد بحرف واحد، وعلى وزن افتعل وانفعل وتفعّل وتفاعل مِنَ الفعل الثلاثي المزيد بحرفين، وعلى وزن استفعل مِنَ الفعل الثلاثي المزيد بثلاثة أحرف. ووجد البحث من الأفعال المزيدة تسع و سبعين (79) فعلًا في سورة النساء. ومعاني الزيادة مِنْ أوزان الأفعال المزيدة فيها على معان كثيرة وأكثرها على معنى التعدية والمبالغة والصيرورة والمطاوعة ومشاركة بين الشيئين فأكثر وطلب الفعل. من نتائج البحث ، يقدم البحث اقتراحات للطلاب لتوسيع دراستهم لعلوم الصرف.
