Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is abdominal pain felt during menstruation, where many young women experience decreased concentration in studying due to the dysmenorrhea they experience. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of administering Five Finger Hypnosis and Hegu LI4 Point Acupressure on the intensity of dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls. The design of this research was Quasi Experimental with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design research design, with a sample of 40 class IX teenage girls who experienced dysmenorrhea at SMP PGRI 2 Denpasar. The sample was divided into two groups, namely the treatment group and the control group. Data were analyzed using Shapiro-Wilk to compare pretest and post-test results and Mann Whitney to compare the results of data analysis between the treatment group and the control group. From the results of data analysis in the treatment group and control group before being given Five Finger Hypnosis and Hegu LI 4 Point Acupressure, a p value of 0.299 was obtained, which means p > 0.05. After being given Five Finger Hypnosis and Hegu Point LI 4 Acupressure in the treatment group, the value of p = 0.000 was obtained, which means p < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there was an effect of giving Five Finger Hypnosis and Hegu Point LI 4 Acupressure on the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain in young women.

Abstract

Background: Cigarette smoke consists of the main smoke (main stream) which contains 25% levels of hazardous materials and side streams which contain 75% levels of hazardous materials. Cigarette smoke contains more than 4000 harmful chemicals, including nicotine, tar, lead, carbon monoxide (CO) and various other free radicals which are carcinogenic. Each puff of cigarette smoke contains 1015 oxidative free radicals which are the main source of oxidative stress which has the potential as a mediator of endothelial dysfunction, increased blood thrombogeneity, and inflammatory response. Someone who smokes continuously for a long time is known to have a leukocyte count 20-25% higher than people who don't smoke. It is known that the entry of nicotine into the body causes leukocytosis due to the circulation of catecholamines due to the increase in hormones such as epinephrine and cortisol by nicotine. Objective: Seeing the leukocyte count values in smokers who consume green tea (Camellia sinensis L). Methods : This research method uses descriptive method. The research samples were taken from active smokers in the Unjani FITKES environment as many as 28 samples. Data collection was carried out by filling out questionnaires and consent forms. Then an examination of the leukocyte count was carried out including the value of eosinophils, segment neutrophils, stem neutrophils, lymphocytes and monocytes. Data analysis is reported as a percentage. Results : Based on the results of the study, the sig value for eosinophils was (0.191), segment neutrophils (0.876), stem neutrophils (0.080), lymphocytes (0.333) and monocytes were smaller (0.003). it can be concluded that green tea has an effect but not significant on the leukocyte count value to neutralize free radicals caused by smoking. Conclusion : Based on this study, it was concluded that from 28 samples of active smokers, it was found that 17 people (60.7%) had an increase in monocytes. It can be concluded that green tea has an effect, but not significantly, on the leukocyte count value to neutralize free radicals caused by smoking.

This PIK youth service provides benefits by providing information and counseling services on maturing marriage age, eight family functions, TRIAD KRR (sexuality, HIV and AIDS, and NAFZA), life skills (life skills), gender and advocacy skills, and IEC. Utilization of the Adolescent Counseling Information Center is greatly influenced by the level of knowledge, reflection of adolescent attitudes, motivation from the surrounding environment, peer support, and teacher support so that the incidence of premarital sex behavior, which is bad for adolescents, can be reduced. Objective: to identify the relationship between the utilization of information and youth health centers (PIK-R) towards adolescents in terms of knowledge level, attitudes, and premarital sexual behavior. This research is also expected to bring benefits to PIK-KRR organizational managers in the campus environment by directing activities that can become part of PIK-KRR activities to improve their functions. Methods: This research is a descriptive correlation study using a cross-sectional research design and a quantitative approach with a sample of 175 respondents. The data analysis used was the Chi-Square statistical test and the Spearman test to see the strength of the relationship. Results: In the Chi-Square analysis, the results show that there is a relationship between the PIK-R utilization variables and the level of knowledge (ρ- value 0.031 < 0.05) with the category of weak relationship strength (correlation coefficient = 0.163 in the range between 0.10-0, 29) and the relationship is unidirectional. The results of the analysis of the relationship between the utilization of PIK-R variables and attitude show that there is a relationship (ρ -value 0.034 < 0.05) with the category of strength of the weak relationship (correlation coefficient = 0.160 is in the range 0.10-0.29) and the relationship is unidirectional. The results of the analysis of PIK-R utilization and premarital sex behavior showed that there was a relationship (ρ -value 0.025 < 0.05), but the relationship was not in the same direction because the correlation was negative (-0.169).Conclusion: There is a relationship between the variable utilization of information centers and youth counseling (PIK-R) and the variables of knowledge, attitude, and behavior of premarital sex in adolescents.

Abstract

Introduction: Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways that causes intermittent and reversible airflow disturbances resulting in hyperactivity of the bronchi to various stimuli characterized by recurrent episodic symptoms in the form of wheezing), coughing, a feeling of heaviness in the chest and shortness of breath. Shortness of breath is characterized by increasing respiratory frequency. The main nursing intervention for the problem of shortness of breath is airway management and monitoring respiratory frequency by ensuring lung function is as normal as possible and maintaining it and preventing airway obstruction, one of which is by carrying out SEFT. The aim of this study was to analyze the difference in the decrease in respiratory frequency before and after SEFT. Method: This research is a quasi-experimental research with a randomized one group pretest-posttest design approach. Sampling was carried out using simple random sampling based on inclusion criteria. Data analysis used the alternative Wilcoxon test with α 0.05. The total research sample was 100 respondents using random sampling techniques. Results: There were 94 respondents whose respiratory frequency value after SEFT was smaller than the respiratory frequency before SEFT, 2 respondents whose respiratory frequency value after SEFT was greater than the respiratory frequency value before SEFT and 4 respondents whose values were the same before and after SEFT. The statistical test results showed that p < (0.05), meaning there was a significant difference in respiratory frequency before and after SEFT was carried out. Conclusion: this research shows that SEFT can reduce respiratory frequency. This research recommends that SEFT can be an intervention in nursing care for asthma patients. Keywords: SEFT, Respiratory Frequency, Asthma.
