Abstract

Rural tourism generates a set of human relationships resulting from the visit of tourists to peasant communities that take advantage of and enjoy the environment, natural, cultural, patrimonial and socio-productive values. The negative impacts that conventional tourism generates on the ecosystem has motivated the management of tourist destinations in such a way that responsibility and sustainability prevail, so that tourists can accumulate experiences in open air and in direct contact with the environment without damaging it encouraging localities to achieve prospective development. The commitment of the country and tourism has been to preserve the environment, but their management has not been enough to guarantee sustainability and comprehensiveness from a local perspective. The general objective of this research is to expose the theoretical foundation of environmental management in Cuba, and propose good practices in the implementation of rural tourism products; that guarantee sustainable natural and cultural heritage. Various theoretical methods were used such as analysis and synthesis, historical-logical, systemic structural; and some empirical ones such as scientific observation, interview, and study of the normative documents of the tourist process, among others. Statistical methods were also used for information processing, as well as the triangulation of sources and methods. As a result, the bases were laid for the theoretical-practical deepening of the research and actions are proposed to contribute to the conservation of the environment through the promotion of rural tourism products.but their management has not been enough to guarantee sustainability and comprehensiveness from a local perspective.

Abstract

This article aims at proposing a way to identify polysemy ‘anding-andingen’ or proverb in bahasa karo. The writer has an interest to use proverb or anding-aningen in this study because in proverb contains a lot of semantic meaning. This study was conducted using the descriptive qualitative approach in nature; therefore it only describes the semantic knowledge theory. The results of this study indicate that the element DO may occur either with a subject (Actor) alone with a second (Patient) argument as well (in English, as DO TO). It opened the way for a new semantically-inspired approach to grammar constructions. An analysis of ‘X does this’ as ‘X can say this’ and of ‘A because B’ as if not B, the not A’, the writers admitted that both DO and BECAUSE into the stable of semantic primitives. A similar entailment-like relationship obtains between PEOPLE and SOMEONE, but there is at least one significant syntactic difference, namely, that PEOPLE cannot occur with quantifier ONE.

Abstract

To expand the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology in the competency pattern contruction course in drawing various sleeve patterns, this study aims to develop belended learning based optitex media. With Research & Development (R&D) method, Borg and Gall combined with Dick & Carey instructional system development model, this study develops optitex media as a viable and effective medium to use as a learning resource for learning tutorials to draw various patterns of sleeves based on Optitex PDS 11. Procedure development of instructional media there are 5 stages as follows: (1) The preliminary study, (2) Design software, (3) Gather materials, (4) Creating and producing instructional media, (5) Conduct field reviews in order to evaluate and revise products. Obtaining the average result of the presentation of the learning material expert gave a response of 88.75%, then the design expert gave a response of 84.17%, that the material was suitable for use because it contained material and delivery criteria that met the standards of delivering messages to students and meanwhile learning media experts gave a response of 86.25% worthy of use because it has been designed in such a way and meets the standards of learning media. In the small group presentation results with an average value of 86.42%. In the results of group presentations with an average value of 91.09% and in the results of large group / field trial presentations with an average presentation of 92.76%. The results showed that the optitex media to draw various patterns of sleeves was effectively used based on blended learning.

Abstract

Education is one of the most important aspects in the formation of the development of human life. In practice there are many learning methods that can be used in conveying messages to a student, and one of the methods used in the process of educational development in early childhood is to using the animation media method, where in the learning process students also involve various additional media elements in it, animation learning media is a means of conveying information from the sender of the message to the recipient of the message, in the hope that the learning communication process can run effectively and the message is want to be conveyed can be accepted completely by children so that in the end it will improve children's language skills by involving elements of images and sounds. Where in this learning takes place and can attract the attention of students both in learning activeness, asking questions, and interacting. This can be seen from the positive attitudes of students seen during the learning process. This study uses a qualitative method approach by examining several literature studies related to the research objectives, namely to find out how to apply learning methods using cartoon animation media in improving Arabic for early childhood.

Abstract

Before colonization, Africans had their own ways and methods of education. Its finality was to educate their children in accordance with African values.  In Things Fall Apart and Arrow of God, Chinua Achebe shows that African traditional education plays a key role in the passage from childhood to adulthood. Instead of using western materials and tools such as classrooms, blackboards, talks and or pens, in African traditional education the fireplaces, the farms, storytelling, tales and proverbs were the methods and means that African wise people adopted to educate their children.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in the improvement of mathematical communication skills and mathematical problem solving of students who are taught using manipulative virtual learning media and physical manipulative learning through project-based learning models (PjBL), as well as analyzing the performance of class VII students of SMP Plus Jabal Rahmah Mulia Medan in solving problems. questions that measure communication skills and mathematical problem solving. Data obtained through subjective tests or essay tests, each of which measures the students' mathematical problem solving and communication skills. Data were analyzed using ANACOVA test. The population in this study were all students of class VIII of the private high school Jabal Rahmam Mulia for the 2020/2021 academic year. While the sample in this study is class VIII1 which is the first experimental class which is taught using manipulative virtual learning media and class VIII2 is the second experimental class which is taught using physical manipulative learning media. Based on the results of the ANACOVA calculation, the analysis results obtained F_hitung = 3,450 ˃ Ftable = 3.38 and with sig = 000, because the significant level is smaller than 0.05 so that H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted. Thus, there are differences in problem-solving abilities between students who are given a realistic mathematics approach assisted by macromedia flash and students who are given a contextual approach assisted by macromedia flash. Based on the results of the analysis F_count = 20.889 ˃ F table = 3.38 and with sig = 000, because the significant level is smaller than 0.05 so that H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted. Thus, there are differences in mathematical communication skills between students who are given virtual manipulative assisted project-based learning (PjBL VM) and students who are given physical manipulative assisted project-based learning (PjBL PM).

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' speaking skills. The research sample consisted of 30 students (20 female students and 8 male students) all of whom were studying English, the majority of the sample were second semester students, the form of this study was to analyze (1) teaching and learning plans to speak through the task of information gaps that exist in "Absyak" on-line learning media websites, (2) the implementation of teaching speaking through structured tasks and information gaps with "absyak" on-line learning media websites, (3) teaching teaching evaluation systems through the task gap "absyak" information media website-based online learning, (4) improvement of student speaking using the information gap task on "absyak" website-based on-line learning. This is a classroom action research that takes place in 2 cycles. The subjects of the study were the second semester students of Surabaya Pharmacy Academy, Regular Class A consisting of 30 students in the academic year 2019/2020. Data collected by tests, observation notes and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that learning that was designed using the information gap technique with "absyak". Website-based online learning with cycle procedures. Cycle I results are still not optimal, then continue to the second cycle. In cycle II the results are maximum. Student activities increase every cycle II for learning, student activity, performance indicators, learning processes, completeness scores increase, decrease the number of unfinished and success indicators. Based on the results of research 11 which has been conducted 11 with 1 application of information gap techniques and "absyak" on-line learning website in learning Speaking in the second semester students of the Surabaya pharmacy academy that there is a significant increase in speaking skills from the results of learning achievements of cycle I and cycle II. This means that the students' speaking skills from the stages are increasingly increasing and succeeding well.

Abstract

The goal of this research was to find out what role linguistics plays in the English teaching process that takes place at Bakti Indonesia University. The lecturer of Bakti Indonesia University, teaching English along with technological developments can be implemented with various methods and development efforts. One of the efforts made was to optimize the linguistics role, especially applied linguistics, in English teaching process. It is very natural in English teaching process as broad knowledge which is fundamental about the principles of language being learned. The linguistic theories of English lecturers and teaching staff will not find any problems in describing a language especially English in its use. The research method used was descriptive with qualitative approach in its implementation. From the results can be concluded that the teaching method of English language material is not only learning system that plays major role, but more than that it is communication medium that can understand the basic principles of English teaching. For a student that learning any language requires a lot of process and practice in English.

Abstract

Theoretically, physical activity can improve physical fitness and cognitive functions. Students who do regular physical activity are expected to have fitness and fitness at the same time as their cognitive function grows and develops so that their academic achievement increases. Unfortunately, as technology advances and lifestyle changes, children's physical activity is decreasing. Effectiveness in achieving learning objectives continuously along with the level of student fitness and decreased cognitive function improvement. This study aims to examine the effect of daily physical activity on increasing students' fitness and academic achievement. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a matching-only design. As a sample, 30 grade 5 students of SDN Pesanggrahan I, Kwanyar, Bangkalan. The sample was divided into two groups, 15 students in the experimental group and 15 students in the control group. The treatment was given for 8 weeks with 3 meetings per week. The fitness variable was measured by a multistage fitness test, meanwhile, the academic achievement variable was measured by a series of questions prepared by the teacher. Data processing was carried out by analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) using the results of the pretest as covariates. The results showed that daily physical activity could improve physical fitness (F=45.91; p<0.01) and student academic achievement (F=7.72; p<0.01). The experimental group showed better physical fitness than the control group (F=100.91; p<0.01). The experimental group also showed better academic achievement than the control group (F=19.45; p<0.01). Based on the results of the analysis, it can be said that the application of daily physical activity for 2 months is proven to be effective in improving physical fitness and academic achievement of fifth-grade students at SDN Pesanggrahan I, Kwanyar, Bangkalan.

Abstract

This research initiates from the problem of learning outcomes and student interest in learning is still low.  Thus, it triggers to conduct this research which aims to: (1) determine the effectiveness of using thematic teaching materials based on local history using developed scientific learning that can increase student positive responses and (2) Determine the effectiveness of using thematic teaching materials based on local history using scientific learning that is developed to improve student learning outcomes. It is a development research. The subjects in this study are 30 students in grade IV1 and IV2 at Percobaan state primary school Medan and the object in this study is a learning device in the form of local history-based teaching materials using scientific learning. The data collection instruments used consisted of test results and student interest in learning questionnaires. The results show that: (1) the student's response to the components and learning activities using learning tools oriented to the scientific learning model.  They have reached the specified criteria, namely the response using learning tools is positive and (2) the effectiveness of the learning tools developed using the learning model, it can be seen that the  obtained score is 86.67% viewed from the minimum moderate learning outcomes. It has exceeded the predetermined tolerance limit, which is at least 85% in moderate criteria.
