Abstract

The police have a duty to ensure the safety of all citizens. This needs to be done competently by each member of the police force based on the position he holds. Therefore, before occupying a position, it is necessary to assess whether a person is suitable and can carry out his duties in that position properly. Existing practice in several countries suggests different approaches to conducting competency assessments for this purpose. This paper aims to compare the competency assessment process as the basis for placement in several countries, namely the United States, England, Germany & France and Indonesia. The research was conducted using a literature study method and involved collecting data from various literature sources such as books, journals and relevant documents. Descriptive analysis was then used to describe the findings. The results showed that competency assessment in all countries was carried out to match competencies with vacant positions. Competency assessment in the United States is based on behavior, in England with a functional approach, in France and Germany with a multidimensional approach, while in Indonesia with an assessment center. The difference between Indonesia and other countries can be seen from the use of psychological tests and/or the involvement of psychological experts in the assessment process. In addition, in Indonesia the training is carried out before the assessment while in other countries the training is carried out after the assessment and before taking the position. This is ultimately expected to be able to provide personnel who work according to their positions and then improve the performance of the Police.

Abstract

The primary goal of this study was to determine the effectiveness of G-Suite Docs on students’ writing skills as well as students’ perceptions of its implementation at SMA Negeri 1 Batuan. It was carried out on the 40 students in the eleventh grade, who were divided into two groups: control and experiment groups, using an experimental design. The results showed that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, indicating that the writing method using G-Suite Docs has a significant effect on improving students’ writing ability and could be used effectively in writing class. The students’ perceptions then demonstrated that using G-suite docs had a significant impact on their writing ability, and they enjoyed writing using the G-suite docs method. It was proven by the Cronbach’s Alpha (α) statistical test, with the limitation of a variable being said to be reliable if the Cronbach's Alpha value is > 0.5 and can be said to be reliable.

Currently the Indonesian nation is experiencing moral degradation. This problem actually occurs in many teenagers as one of the impacts of the era of globalization and technological developments. The industrial era 4.0 and technological developments can have positive and negative impacts on almost all levels of society. One of the negative impacts that arise is the decline in the character of the younger generation. Researchers are interested in conducting further research on the internalization of KDP through extracurricular activities, especially Scout extracurricular activities in two schools, namely SMKN I Kademangan and SMK PGRI Wlingi, Blitar Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study research design. Data collection techniques with free and open interviews, documentation studies, and observation. The informants of this study were 50 students who became members of the scouts and as representatives of respondents. Based on the results of the analysis conducted on the research data, it is known that several forms of internalization of the values of strengthening character education contained in the Scout extracurricular program can be seen from the values of religious character, nationalist character, integrity character, independent character, and mutual cooperation character. In addition to internalizing these characters, scout extracurricular activities also include self-development efforts that foster students' organizational and entrepreneurial skills.

This study aims to see the relationship between two variables and in the process of data analysis. This study uses numerical data or numbers that are processed by methodology, after the results are obtained then described by outlining the conclusions based on the numbers with the statistical method. The results shows that there is a significant positive relationship between social support and work attachment. This result is proven by the correlation coefficient  = 0.377; p = 0.000 means p <0.010 means that the higher the social support, the higher the attachment of work to nurses and vice versa, if social support is obtained low, then the attachment of nurses work is also low. Thus, the hypothesis that has been proposed in this research is accepted. Social support has an effect of 14.2% on work attachment known from the determinant coefficient = 14.2%. There are still 85.8% influence from other factors that affect work attachment, namely compensation, skills, optimism, self efficacy, and reciliency.

Abstract

Tax law is one of the positive laws in Indonesia. In practice, is this tax law based on Pancasila? Likewise, is the self assessment system in income tax based on Pancasila? In Indonesia, especially in the city of Bandung Cicadas Pratama Tax Service Office, especially for individual taxpayers, there are still taxpayers who do not submit annual notification letters or do not submit their tax obligations. This situation is certainly contrary to the precepts of Pancasila which is the basis of the philosophy of life of the Indonesian nation. The recearch method uses a descriptive analytical research specification, the approach method is a normative judicial approach. The research stage includes library research which is secondary data as well as field research is primary data and the last is qualitative juridical data analysis. In conclusion, tax law is still based on Pancasila. Pancasila is the philosophy of tax collection. Tax collection must be based on the law. With the collection of taxes, the government must provide good reciprocal service to the community (taxpayers) because they have served the state, namely “paying taxes”. As well as in the self assessment of the income tax system that Pancasila is still the basis of its philosophy. Copliance with personal income tax is very low, especially in the Bandung Cicadas Pratama Tax Service Office. Copliance with taxpayers will increase income from taxes and is needed for development in realizing a just and prosperous society based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

Abstract

This research will be limited/limited regarding specific matters relating to government policies (efforts) in increasing compliance, socializing and growing awareness of taxation, to people who are at least approaching "tax minded"; and will be focused on individual taxpayers concerning simplicity, easy to understand and easy to implement, and on the elements of its development (socialization, counseling, communication) in order to increase compliance and awareness of the taxation referred to, which is marked by an increase in the number of taxpayers reporting (intensification) and the number of taxpayers. Registered tax and its reporting figures as an extensification effort in the field of taxation; as well as looking at the aspect of fairness, in the sense that it has been conveyed evenly to all citizens, especially those who have met the subjective and objective requirements, are easy and can be understood and accepted by all. This research uses quantitative research methods; Khasan Effendy in his book "Integrating Quantitative and Qualitative Methods" (2010: 90), writes as follows: "Quantitative research is research that uses theory as a framework for the whole research". The results of the study show that the parties in the end are compliance and awareness to carry out their tax obligations, which means an increase in state revenues, because this involves the livelihood of many people, agencies, certain individuals, the government itself and the general public.
