Abstract

Waqf has a strategic role in improving the welfare of the people if it is managed optimally. However, the use of waqf for social welfare is still very rarely done. So far, the use of productive waqf in Indonesia has not led to the economic empowerment of the people and tends to only be for the interests of worship activities and things that are commonly carried out in Indonesia such as mosques, prayer rooms, schools, graves and others. The same thing happened in Enrekang Regency. Waqf land in Enrekang Regency is divided into 5 types according to its use. The use of waqf land as a mosque dominates 80% of the total waqf land in Enrekang Regency. Followed by schools at 7%, then tombs at 6%, other social groups at 4%, and finally a prayer room at 3%. Therefore, the Regional Leadership of Muhammadiyah (PDM) Kab. Enrekang through the Waqf and Assets Council as a nazhir organization has a role in managing productive waqf that can be used to empower the people, especially the people of Enrekang Regency. Related to this problem, this research needs to be carried out to analyze the management of productive waqf by the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership of Enrekang Regency and the empowerment of the people through the management of productive waqf, as well as the obstacles in the management of productive waqf faced by the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership of Enrekang Regency. The type of research conducted is descriptive qualitative research. which was carried out using the methods of observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires with the research subject of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership of Enrekang Regency, specifically the Waqf and Wealth Council PDM Kab. Enrekang, wakif, and the people of Enrekang Regency. This research uses data analysis model of Miles and Huberman. The results of the study indicate that the management of waqf assets by the Waqf Council and PDM Treasurer of Enrekang Regency can be broadly said to be effective. This is supported by the results of research showing that of the total waqf land area of 41,201 m2 that is managed, 60% or 24,721 m2 have been empowered for the benefit of the community which is dominated in the form of schools/madrasah/pesantren. The remaining land that has not been utilized is 16,480 m2 or 40% of the total waqf land

Abstract

Limited empirical research into terrorist offenders’ rehabilitation invites researchers to conduct further researches in the area. Rehabilitating terrorist offenders is a challenging issue, particularly in determining if the offender is genuinely deradicalised, hence observing their verbal and non-verbal attitudes and actions can be an option, and if there is an adequate method in measuring behaviour changes. This study aims to systematically identify behaviour protections against terrorism for the purpose in the prevention of re-offending. Focus Group Discussion with Indonesian counterterrorism experts and professionals were conducted in data collection with qualitative method of analysis. The study shows there are eighteen protective behaviour indicators against terrorism when assessing offenders and their risks. The findings may assist practitioners in designing terrorism prevention and rehabilitation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo's postgraduate students. The study used a pre-experimental design with a pretest-posttest design, with one group taking both the pretest and the posttest.  Participants in the study were postgraduate students in their third semester (Batch 7) at STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo. The sample, on the other hand, was made up of 20 post-graduate students. The one-group pretest-posttest design allowed for only one intact group, which was chosen because the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach was appropriate for post-graduate writing students. This result indicated that the students' writing abilities had improved as a result of their involvement in the PBL. Furthermore, the SPSS Statistic 26 analysis reveals that the Sig. (2-tailed) value was. 002, which was lower than the Sig. level of 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis was rejected. Based on the findings from the data examined, it is reasonable to conclude that incorporating Problem-Based Learning (PBL) as a learning approach has a significant impact and is effective on the writing skills of post-graduate students at STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo during pandemic Covid-19.

Abstract

Understanding the risks and opportunities in real estate investing is an exciting study for academic purposes and business applications in the field. The author believes that this question is very relevant to be discussed to understand the opportunities and risks if someone wants to run a property business, which is a very lucrative business opportunity. To complete the discussion of this theme, we have conducted a series of electronic data searches on several publication databases, journals, books, and websites that actively discuss the risks and opportunities of investing in real estate, both nationally and internationally. We cannot describe the data validly and adequately if we do not do an in-depth study first, involving a data coding system and a thorough evaluation to get data findings that can answer. We carried out data published in the last ten years from 2010 to 2021, considering that today's data is so fast that it continues to change and evolve. Based on the phenomenological study we saw from the extensive data exploration. We found several points which in general were understanding the opportunities of the risk of investing in property, so based on this discussion, we can conclude that the opportunity is this considering that property is a business that never runs out and cannot be as easy as others are in motion and the sale and purchase, they only need to maintain, and the risk will usually occur if mismanagement and natural disasters such as floods and fires, the rest of the property business opportunities are indeed very promising. Thus, this finding should be a complement to the same studies.

Abstract

The biggest contribution to the cereal market share is the mix cereal category (78%) which currently has few players. There is a huge potential for FMCG companies to enter the mix cereal business, which is still growing. In this competitive era, of course, we need the right marketing strategy to be able to meet market needs and demands. Therefore, this study aims to analyze consumer preferences in choosing mix cereals with the convenience sampling method which was distributed in the form of an online questionnaire to 100 women aged 25-45 years. Then the results were analyzed using the conjoint analysis method. In this study, it was found that the producer's attributes became the most important factor in consumers' consideration of choosing mix cereals, followed by taste, price, and nutrition. Higher consumer preferences are found in the combination of mixed cereal products with chocolate flavor and there are fiber claims on the packaging which are sold with a price range of Rp. 1,200, - up to Rp. 1.850,- produced by Wingsfood. This can be a reference for FMCG companies to apply and develop a mix cereal product that can be launched to enter the cereal business in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims at analyzing banking risks and performance during the COVID-19 pandemic which will affect the soundness of the bank. In this study, the researchers applied the qualitative method by examining the condition of natural objects, positioning the researchers as the key instrument, applying triangulation (combination) in the data collection, and analyzing data inductively. The analyzed data in this study was collected by implementing library research, which is a study carried out by collecting data from books, journals, articles, magazines, and internet sources related to research problems. The collected data from internet sources were in the form of stock price data and transaction volume at banks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Those data were obtained from idx.co.id and ojk.go.id. Results of this study indicate that all banks tend to experience a decline in the value of risk-weighted assets, capital adequacy ratios, and interest income at each bank and sectoral level. Moreover, larger banks are relatively more vulnerable. The decrease in those three dimensions is predicted to increase disproportionately if the NPL shock becomes larger. The findings further suggest that a 10% NPL shock can force the capital adequacy of all banks to fall below the BASEL III minimum requirement, while a shock of 13% or more can turn it into zero or negative at the sectoral level. Apart from that, the call to stay at home has an impact on many sectors, especially the banking sector, so that financing growth slows and non-performing financing increases because many people have lost their jobs. This non-current financing definitely will have an impact on banking financial performance, leading to non-performing financing (NPF).
