Abstract

This study was conducted to know the effect of capital expenditure and investment on economic growth in West Papua in 2015-2019. First, sampling was carried out using the saturated sampling technique with the number of samples obtained in 13 districts/cities. Panel data with Least Square Dummy Variable (SLDV) model estimation is used as an analysis method and Stata 16 functions as a data processing program. The research then found that the capital expenditure variable had a negative and insignificant effect on economic growth. Then it was found that the investment variable has a positive and significant impact on economic growth. Compared with the results of studies using only independent variables, the use of control variables (population and average length of schooling) will present the most significant coefficient of determination at the time of full regression. These results then indicate that the control variable has a strong influence on economic growth.

Abstract

In the development of technology, decision making is something that will be done by all humans in life. Making a decision is not an easy matter because every decision made and carried out by someone must consider a risk to be borne. Decision Support System (DSS) is a system which utilizes the use of computers in every decision-making process. The achievement of the learning objectives that have been set or have just been achieved depends on the ability of human resources (lecturers) in carrying out their duties. To be able to recognize the ability and potential of a lecturer for his work, a university must have an assessment system to support decisions in determining the performance of a lecturer. The purpose of this research is to obtain a method that has a high accuracy value with the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method so that a high accuracy and fast method is obtained to determine the performance of lecturers in the use of online learning. The result of this research is obtained criteria to produce a solution in determining the performance of lecturers such as criteria, attendance, performance, opportunity, and integrity.

Abstract

The Digital Economy has been established as a development strategy for Blitar City in 2021-2026 in the future. This is also supported by the desire to advance competitiveness in the economic sector as stated in the theme of the development of the City of Blitar in 2020, namely "Utilizing Regional Economic Competitiveness Supported by Human Resources Management and Apparatus". The determination of the development theme was motivated by development problems such as increasing poverty rates, increasing unemployment, income inequality (Blitar City Profile 2018, Bappeda). In addition, the local government of Blitar City is also faced with the problem of the lack of good governance due to the lack of integration among OPD (Regional Apparatus Organizations). Therefore, in dealing with these problems, the local government of Blitar City applies a strategy based on digital information to the people of Blitar City. In developing innovation, the local government of Blitar City designed an application that covers public services by providing information systems in the form of urban village services, population services, employment services, and licensing services. The development of this innovation is also a development strategy for the local government of Blitar City to realize a Smart City-based city.

Abstract

Blended Learning Model (BLM) has frequently been viewed as one of the most effective models in teaching. Many studies have been conducted to reveal the effectiveness of BLM to teach various subjects, yet very few previous studies touched the use of BLM to teach English pronunciation. This research aimed at filling the gap describing how English pronunciation teacher put into practice the BLM in pronunciation instruction and what the students’ responses toward this model. This research used qualitative research method and employed field notes observation, a set of questionnaires, and semi-structured interview as the instruments. The research participants were 29 students from English education study program at teacher training institute at STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo, East java, Indonesia. The result showed that BLM was employed through three related stages in pronunciation class; online materials, the online tutor, and the face-to-face teacher. Additionally, BLM increased students’ interests and motivation to learn pronunciation. These results can be viewed as a source of perspective points while teaching pronunciation skill in EFL setting.

Abstract

Infected health workers can also be a source of infection for patients and other health workers, due to the lack of personal protective equipment. This type of research is using a cross sectional design. The dependent variable of this study is compliance from the use of personal protective equipment, and the independent variables are knowledge and attitude. Knowledge is the result of human sensing to know about an object through its five senses. When using personal protective equipment, it is necessary to have compliance in the form of an attitude to be willing to obey and follow a specification, standard or rule that has been clearly regulated and issued by an authorized organization. The sample consisted of 100 health workers consisting of nurses and midwives, emergency room doctors, room doctors, specialist doctors and isolation room nurses. Data were collected through interviews using a questionnaire, then the data was analyzed using univariate table frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. The conclusion of the research is that there is a significant relationship between knowledge and compliance from the use of personal protective equipment (p=0.020) and there is a significant relationship between attitude and compliance from the use of personal protective equipment (p=0.032).

To answer the questions in the research, a case study approach was carried out, a qualitative approach and this type of research was descriptive.. The data analysis technique used an interactive approach from Miles and Huberman which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, data verification, and drawing conclusions. The research showed three results. First, the case of conflict in the State Junior High School in Sigi District occurred interpersonally, namely the conflict between students and students triggered by playful behavior; teachers and students are triggered by violations of school rules; teacher and teacher triggered mutual belittlement and selfishness; principals with teachers because teachers teach not optimally; and teachers with parents of students triggered by parental defense. Second, the role of the government related to conflict resolution and resolution in public junior high schools in Sigi District acts as a mediator in overcoming conflicts that cannot be handled at school. Third, school policies in dealing with and resolving conflicts in schools are carried out in a conventional way, namely conflict resolution is carried out with the same method before, namely, giving advice, dialogue with related parties, giving sanctions, suspensions, returning students to their parents, art approaches, transfers, delaying the payment of certification and the issuance of a statement (agreement), finally formed the concept of implementing policy spiraling in schools.
