Abstract

This research aims to determine the analysis of tax compliance of motor vehicles in Payakumbuh City. This research was conducted at Payakumbuh City SAMSAT office in Jl. Batimah Hall, District. East Payakumbuh., Payakumbuh town, West Sumatra. The form of research used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The population of this research are motor vehicle taxpayers registered with SAMSAT Payakumbuh City. The sampling technique used Slovin's formula so that the number of samples obtained was 100 respondents. Based on the survey results, it can be concluded that the compliance level of Motor Vehicle Taxpayers in Payakumbuh SAMSAT City is quite good, indicated by the overall average result of 3.69 with a TCR of 73.66%. This means that taxpayer compliance in Payakumbuh City SAMSAT was well implemented, but not implemented optimally. Therefore, in the future, motor vehicle taxpayers in SAMSAT of Payakumbuh City are expected to further increase motor vehicle tax payment compliance to increase tax revenue in Payakumbuh City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of pricing strategy, promotion and market demand consumer preferences on the Profitability of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The unit of analysis is Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Padang City. This study uses primary data obtained through questionnaires. The sampling technique uses quota sampling. A total of 100 questionnaires from MSMEs were returned as the final sample. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis conducted with SPSS software. The results showed that pricing strategy and promotion had a significant positive effect on profitability. While market demand had no significant effect on profitability. MSMEs need to set competitive prices and in accordance with the value perceived by consumers. MSMEs are advised to allocate a special budget for planned and measurable promotional activities.

Abstract

People all across the world now have easier access to comparable goods because to globalization.  If we want to keep the economy stable via international commerce, we must take the exchange rate into account.  The purpose of this research is to determine how well the theories of International Fisher Effect, Purchasing Power Parity, and Interest Rate Parity explain the volatility of the Rupiah against the currency of ASEAN nations.  Finding out how the Rupiah has changed due to interest rate and inflation differentials between Indonesia and other ASEAN nations is the main goal of this research.  From 2014 to 2023, this research compares the Rupiah's currency rate, interest rates, and inflation rates to those of ASEAN nations.  The Random Effect model, run using the E-Views 12 program, is used in this study's panel data regression analysis.  Based on the study's findings, the International Fisher Effect idea makes sense here. However, the other two theories show the opposite results. Thus, this indicates a theoretical deviation that causes the theory to be invalid.

Abstract

In the past decade, the psychological well-being of Generation Z has gained remarkable attention in Human Resource Management studies. However, the research remains fragmented, leaving significant knowledge gaps. This article aims to consolidate and critically analyze existing literature, providing a systematic review of key themes, methodologies, and findings to guide future research. This study systematically reviewed 332 peer-reviewed publications spanning 2017–2023. The analysis employed referencing network metrics, identified research trends and evaluated methodological strengths and limitations to present a cohesive narrative on Gen Z's psychological well-being. The review reveals a substantial surge in publications, emphasizing Gen Z's mental health challenges and coping mechanisms. However, current studies often focus on favorable variables, lack advanced methodological rigor, and over-rely on cross-sectional designs. This article highlights the need for diversified frameworks, longitudinal approaches, and interdisciplinary collaborations to deepen understanding. As one of the first comprehensive literature reviews on Gen Z's psychological well-being, this article bridges research gaps and offers actionable insights for scholars and practitioners in Human Resource Management and beyond.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of ownership structure on firm value, with the disclosure of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) activities serving as a mediating variable. The analysis is conducted on a sample of 90 companies listed in the IDX80 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange over the period 2019 to 2023. Using panel regression analysis and the Sobel test to assess the mediating effect, the results reveal that institutional and managerial ownership have a positive and significant influence on firm value, both directly and indirectly through ESG disclosure. In contrast, family ownership has a negative effect on ESG disclosure. Furthermore, ESG disclosure itself has a significant positive effect on firm value. The findings underscore the strategic role of ESG as a transmission mechanism that strengthens the relationship between ownership governance and value creation. The study contributes to the agency theory by demonstrating how different types of ownership can influence managerial incentives and disclosure practices, ultimately affecting firm valuation. These results offer meaningful implications for corporate decision-makers and investors, highlighting the importance of ownership structure and sustainability practices in improving market performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing impulsive buying behavior among young consumers, specifically fans of K-Pop merchandise. Impulsive buying behavior refers to unplanned and spontaneous purchases, often triggered by emotional and social factors. This research adopts a quantitative approach through a survey method involving 202 respondents aged 18–29 who have engaged in impulsive purchases of K-Pop merchandise. The sampling technique used is convenience sampling. The variables examined include low self-control, positive attitude toward targeted advertising, and social network impulsiveness. Hypothesis testing was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method. The results show that low self-control significantly influences impulsive buying behavior, both directly and indirectly, through its effects on targeted advertising attitudes and social network impulsiveness. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the psychological and social mechanisms behind impulsive consumer behavior in the context of digital popular culture fandoms.

Abstract

The low critical thinking ability of students is indicated by the results of the odd semester summative assessment, which shows that conventional learning media has not been effective in developing students' critical thinking skills. To overcome this problem, learning media is needed that makes students active in the learning process in order to improve students' thinking skills. One of the learning methods that actively involves students in the learning process is the monopoly game learning media. This research seeks to develop students critical thinking skills through the integration of monopoly game media in the learning process. The study was conducted at SMK Negeri 3 Padang with the research subjects of class XI Accounting students. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research type (quasi-experimental design) with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument used was HOTS-based learning outcome test questions. The hypothesis in this study was examined through a paired sample t-test. Based on the analysis of post-test data from both the experimental and control groups at a 5% sig. level, the obtained Sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) is accepted. The increase can be seen from the average Pre-Test score and the average Post-Test score in the experimental group increasing from 55.00 to 80.00. While in the control group it decreased from 60.00 to 58.00 (p <0.05). Based on the t-test testing criteria, it can be concluded that there is an influence of monopoly game learning media on students' critical thinking skills in accounting. This shows that the application of monopoly game learning media significantly improves students' critical thinking skills compared to conventional learning media. Thus, it can be concluded that monopoly game-based learning media is effective in optimizing students' high-level thinking skills.

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to determine and examine the influences of environmental performance and green innovation on firm value with mediation of financial performance. The object and focus of this research are non-financial companies listed on the IDX for the 2021-2023 period with a population of 649 companies. The sample was selected based on purposive sampling technique with a total of 79 companies that met the criteria. The data was analysed using the SEM-PLS method. The results revealed that environmental performance does not have a significant effect on firm value. Green innovation and financial performance have a significant positive effect on firm value. Environmental performance and green innovation significantly and positively influence financial performance. Furthermore, financial performance is proven to mediate the effect of environmental performance and green innovation on firm value.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of domestic investment, the intensity of labor involvement and academic achievement on the growth of Agricultural GRDP in West Sumatra. The population in this study was 19 regencies/cities in West Sumatra Province and the sample used was the entire population. Using a quantitative approach, it analyzes archival data from West Sumatra’s Provincial and local BPS offices.  The study stitches together the threads of time and space through a panel regression lens, weaving a rich tapestry of comprehensive insight , thus facilitating a multi-dimensional exploration of variable interrelations. Results from the partial (t) test illuminate that neither Domestic Capital Infusion nor Workforce Engagement Ratio yields a statistically meaningful influence on the growth of the agricultural GRDP. Then the result show that Educational Achievement emerges as a significantly positive determinant. Moreover, aggregate hypothesis testing via the f-test illustrates that the triad of Domestic Investment, Labor Force Participation, and Educational Attainment does not exert a collective statistical bearing on the sector's GRDP progression

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh ketaatan, kejujuran, kerjasama tim, dan suasana lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja tenaga kependidikan di Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP). Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei digunakan, mengumpulkan data dari 82 responden melalui kuesioner skala Likert. Analisis regresi berganda menunjukkan ketaatan, kerjasama tim, dan suasana lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja (p < 0,05), sedangkan kejujuran tidak signifikan (p = 0,610). Variabel-variabel ini menjelaskan 53,9% varians kinerja (R² = 0,539). Temuan menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan disiplin, kolaborasi, dan kondisi lingkungan kerja dapat meningkatkan produktivitas. Rekomendasi mencakup pelatihan untuk memperkuat disiplin dan kerjasama tim serta optimalisasi fasilitas kerja. Penelitian ini memperkaya literatur manajemen sumber daya manusia dan memberikan wawasan praktis bagi institusi pendidikan tinggi.
