Abstract

This study focuses on the influence of interactive media based on the Nearpod application on student learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject of class XI at MA Darul Amin Palangka Raya, especially on the material of murder in Islamic law (jinayah). The approach used is quantitative with the type of Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design with a sample of 26 students. Data were obtained through multiple choice tests, observation, and documentation. The results of observations from the application of the Nearpod application media showed an increase from 84,8% in the first meeting (good category) to 97,8% in the second meeting (very good category), this increase reflects the increasing involvement and enthusiasm of students in participating in learning. The average student score also increased from 58,31 in the Pretest to 80,92 in the Posttest. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test showed that the data were normally distributed (significance of 0,090 in the Pretest and 0,059 in the Posttest > 0.05), while the paired sample t-test results obtained a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05, so that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the interactive media based on the Nearpod application has an influence on student learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject of class XI at MA Darul Amin Palangka Raya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe in detail the implementation and outcomes of Aqidah Akhlak learning through the use of Kitab Suluk Asasi among tenth-grade students at MA Pendidikan Ilmu Al-Qur’an Singosari Malang. The research focuses on how this classical Islamic text is applied in the learning process and the extent to which it contributes to students’ educational achievements. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation to obtain comprehensive data. The findings reveal that the learning process was carried out by combining lectures, discussions, role modeling, and habituation methods. Kitab Suluk Asasi served as the primary reference that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, thereby enhancing students’ cognitive understanding of aqidah, fostering religious attitudes, and shaping more consistent Islamic behavior in their daily lives. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of classical texts remains relevant in contemporary Islamic education, particularly in strengthening character education, moral values, and the sustainable development of students’ Islamic personality.

Abstract

Educational policy serves as a strategic foundation in national development, as it directly influences the quality of human resources produced. This article comprehensively examines three key aspects within the realm of public policy, namely problem formulation, educational policy formulation, and policy adoption. The method employed in this study is a literature review. In the problem formulation stage, emphasis is placed on the importance of accurately and systematically identifying issues so that the resulting policies are relevant to societal needs and capable of addressing contemporary challenges. Furthermore, policy formulation is analyzed by considering the role of internal and external factors, the application of policy theories, as well as the contributions of various actors involved in the process of drafting and establishing educational policies. In terms of policy adoption, this article reviews best practices from countries with excellent education systems, such as Finland, Japan, and South Korea, while also exploring the potential for their implementation in the Indonesian context. The integration of these three aspects is expected to foster educational policies that are more adaptive, democratic, inclusive, and oriented toward the sustainable improvement of human resource quality.

Abstract

This qualitative research explores how senior and novice teachers perceive and implement deep learning in Indonesian elementary schools. Employing a case study approach, the study engaged senior teachers with more than 15 years of teaching experience and novice teachers with less than 10 years of experience from Gugus 02 Bina Ilmu, Pringkuku District, Pacitan Regency. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal both convergences and divergences in teachers’ understanding of deep learning. Senior teachers tend to define deep learning as comprehensive mastery of core content through structured, teacher-centered instruction that prioritizes stability and discipline. In contrast, novice teachers interpret deep learning as a process that fosters critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and technology integration aligned with the Kurikulum Merdeka framework. These differences are primarily influenced by teaching experience, educational background, professional development exposure, and adaptability to pedagogical innovation. Despite their differing approaches, both groups share a common goal of promoting meaningful and student-centered learning. The study highlights the importance of fostering intergenerational collaboration and differentiated professional training to bridge pedagogical gaps, enhance teacher adaptability, and sustain the implementation of deep learning practices responsive to the challenges of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This study discusses the issue of low academic responsibility among elementary school students in managing the learning process in the digital age. The research subjects consisted of 12 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 4 Jatigunung, a classroom teacher, and three parents. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model, which includes the stages of data reduction, presentation, and verification. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of Educational Technology (EdTech) platforms such as Ruang Murid, Google Classroom, Canva Edu, and Quizizz in improving student discipline, independence, and learning time management. The results of the study show that the use of EdTech has a positive effect on students' academic behavior, characterized by increased punctuality of assignment collection, active participation, and self-reflection skills. However, digital distractions and inequality of access to technology are still the main obstacles. This study concludes that EdTech integration plays an effective role as digital scaffolding in shaping academic responsibility, especially when balanced with character education, teacher mentoring, and parental involvement in a collaborative digital learning ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the application of character education through Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Purwantoro. The background of this study is the importance of character education in shaping students' personalities to be noble, religious, and responsible amid the moral challenges of today's youth. Islamic Religious Education plays an important role as a medium for instilling ethical and spiritual values in schools. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation of teachers and students. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to obtain an in-depth picture of character education practices in schools. The results show that Islamic Education teachers integrate the values of honesty, discipline, responsibility, and tolerance into the learning process, whether through role modeling, habit formation, or religious activities at school. Although character education is being implemented well, there are still obstacles such as the negative influence of the environment outside of school and a lack of supervision of students outside of school hours. Therefore, strong cooperation between schools, parents, and the community is needed to shape students' character in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.

Abstract

In the context of increasing social conflict and identity-based tensions in multicultural societies, Islamic education holds strategic potential as a preventive instrument. This research seeks to formulate a theoretical model of value-based Islamic education aimed at enhancing students’ emotional intelligence and preventing social conflict. Using a qualitative approach through library research, this study systematically analyzes scholarly literature from 2015 to 2025, focusing on Islamic education, value integration, multiculturalism, and conflict resolution. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using descriptive-qualitative methods involving thematic categorization and synthesis of conceptual findings. The study highlights four core Islamic values al-‘adl (justice), rahmah (compassion), tasamuh (tolerance), and ukhuwwah (brotherhood) as pillars for shaping inclusive character education. The results indicate that value-based Islamic education strengthens social cohesion and emotional awareness among students. This model contributes not only to the development of a theoretical framework that integrates religious, emotional, and social competencies but also to the design of educational policies that support peaceful and inclusive societies.

Abstract

In general, elementary school students consider mathematics as a subject that requires in-depth understanding due to its abstract nature. This study aims to identify the factors causing difficulties in learning mathematics in fourth-grade students of MI Al Ma'arif Sidolaju. This study is a qualitative study with a case study approach, the methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the principal, teachers, and 8 fourth-grade students. Data analysis used in this study were data reduction, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The results of the data analysis indicate that the learning difficulties of MI Al Ma'arif Sidolaju students are difficulty understanding basic concepts, difficulty remembering formulas, difficulty understanding and solving problems. Factors causing difficulties in learning mathematics are internal factors, namely lack of basic skills, learning motivation, and physical health, external factors, namely the use of media or learning aids, and family situations. Various efforts made by teachers in overcoming learning difficulties are by providing motivation, providing learning assistance, establishing communication with parents, and designing more innovative learning. Thus, through this study, it can provide a deep understanding in developing effective learning.

Abstract

This study examines the function of madrasah supervisors as coach in enhancing teachers’ pedagogical competence at MTs/MA level madrasahs in Mojokerto City. The scope of the study includes the supervisory functions, the diversity of teachers’ pedagogical competence, and their implications for improving the quality of learning. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that although the functional position of supervisors has been formally integrated into the functional position of teachers, in practice, supervisors still hold significant authority in conducting supervision, mentoring, and coaching. Teachers’ pedagogical competence remains varied: some are capable of designing lesson plans and utilizing technology, while others require intensive guidance. The implications of supervisory mentoring are reflected through two main techniques, namely individual and group supervision, which proved effective in improving teachers’ pedagogical skills, lesson planning, and professional collaboration. Therefore, the continued function of supervisors as mentors is expected to strengthen learning quality and contribute to the overall improvement of madrasah education

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies employed by the principal to improve the quality of educational administration at SD Negeri Kebonsari Wetan 1 in Probolinggo City. Effective educational administration is one of the key factors in achieving quality education goals. The principal, as a leader, plays an important role in designing and implementing the right strategies to enhance the quality of administration in the school. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and administrative staff, as well as direct observation of administrative practices at the school. The findings show that the strategies applied by the principal include improving the competencies of administrative staff, utilizing technology in the administrative system, and strengthening communication between the school, parents, and the community. The most effective strategy found in this study was the principal's initiative to improve the competencies of administrative staff through targeted training, which significantly enhanced administrative performance. However, there are some challenges faced, such as limitations in human resources and budget. This study contributes to the development of managerial strategies that can be adapted by principals in other schools to improve the quality of educational administration. It is hoped that the results of this research can serve as a reference for education policymakers in formulating policies that support the improvement of administrative quality at the elementary school level.
