Abstract

Heavy lift delivery activities are complex and complicated, the handling process is also different when compared to loads in general due to excess dimension factors, both length, width, and height. There are constraints and risks in the delivery of heavy equipment. This study aims to analyze operational risks arising from heavy equipment delivery activities at PT Daily Express Cargo. By analyzing the risks that may occur, it is expected that the company can take the right decisions and actions to overcome the risks. The research method used is the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) method with descriptive analysis and qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through in-person interviews and questionnaires. In this study, twenty operational risks were found. After identification and risk assessment, there are four risk levels, namely high, medium, low, and very low levels. At a high level there are 2 risks, at a medium level there are 5 risks, at a low level there are 5 risks, and at a very low level there are 8 risks. Each risk that arises requires appropriate risk control tailored to its type

Abstract

This study compares the K-Medoids and CLARA (Clustering Large Application) methods for livestock population data in Indonesian districts and cities. Calculating the distance between points and objects in the data, K-Medoids is a method for clustering based on data points (medoids). A larger dataset is divided into several samples for comparison in CLARA, an extension of the K-Medoids approach. The CLARA method analysis results show that three clusters are the ideal number. The ideal number of clusters in a K-Medoids cluster analysis is two. The Silhouette Score (SS), Davis-Bouldin Index (DBI), and Calinski-Harabasz Index (CHI) are the metrics that are measured. The evaluation of the comparison results shows that the CLARA method has an SS value of 0.66, while K-Medoids has an SS value of 0.62. The comparison of the CLARA and K-Medoids approaches yielded DBI values of 1.38 and 1.92, respectively, and 197.54 and 132.73 for CHI. The findings indicate that, in comparison to the K-Medoids approach, the SS value for the CLARA method is closer to 1, and that the CHI value derived from the CLARA method is likewise greater. The K-Medoids approach has a higher DBI value than the CLARA method, where a lower DBI value denotes superior performance. The CLARA approach is the most effective way to do cluster analysis on livestock population data in Indonesian districts and cities, according to the findings.

Abstract

Stocks are an investment instrument that is in high demand and can provide large profits for investors, especially stocks from large and popular companies, such as PT Unilever Indonesia. However, the boycott action causes its share price to tend to decline and makes it difficult for investors to make investment decisions. In this research, the development of the Fuzzy Time Series Markov Chain (FTSMC) method, namely Fuzzy Time Series Markov Chain Absolute Differences K-Means Clustering (FTSMC-ADKC) and Fuzzy Time Series Markov Chain Tree Partition Method (FTSMC-TPM) is used in forecasting the stock price of PT Unilever Indonesia. Both methods have a good ability to forecast volatile time series data and do not require data distribution assumptions such as classical forecasting methods. Furthermore, the accuracy of the two methods is compared through the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value, resulting in FTSMC-ADKC being more accurate with a MAPE of 0.71% compared to FTSMC-TPM with a MAPE of 1.21%. By using FTSMC-ADKC, the closing price of PT Unilever Indonesia shares on March 27, 2024 is estimated to be Rp2724.46, which has decreased from the previous day.

Abstract

Batam City is located in the Riau Islands Province, Indonesia, known as a strategic free trade area with rapidly growing industrial, trade, maritime and fisheries sectors, especially seaweed cultivation. Seaweed has high economic value and global demand, used as food and raw materials for the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Batam's ideal geographical conditions support the growth of seaweed, with the support of local government policies and cultivation technology. However, challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, limited access to technology must be overcome to increase exports. On the other hand, competition with other neighboring seaweed countries such as Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand is also a challenge. These countries have already developed their seaweed industries well, including in terms of technology, product quality and international marketing networks. Batam needs to adopt innovative and efficient strategies and international cooperation to optimize this potential. With these problems, it is interesting to see the seaweed export forecast in Batam City. Is there an increase or decrease? So the purpose of this study is to describe the best model used in predicting seaweed export volume and describe the results of seaweed export volume predictions in Batam City in 2024 - 2025. The research method is quantitative using Trend analysis. The results of the study show that the best model used is the Quadratic trend model because it has the smallest MAPE, MAD and MSE values compared to other models. Meanwhile, the results of seaweed export forecasts from Batam City continue to experience a significant increase in 2024 - 2025.

Abstract

Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) of numeracy is one part of the National Examination held by the government today as a replacement for the National Examination. Grønmo (2015) explains the importance of numeracy for students' lives, namely that it can help students solve contextual problems both in the scope of mathematics learning in schools and contexts outside of school. The results of Indonesia's participation in the TIMSS (2015) event were that Indonesia ranked 44th out of 49 countries with a mean numeracy score of 397 from an overall average of 505. It can be said that the numeracy score obtained by Indonesia is far below the overall average. The purpose of this study was to describe the problem solving of geometry content numeracy and measurement of high school students' reasoning levels in terms of the Field Independent (FI) and Field Dependent (FD) cognitive styles of grade XI 8 students at SMAN 1 Krian. The type of research used in this study is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The sampling technique used a purposive sampling technique with a criterion sampling type in order to select subjects. The instruments for collecting data in this study were cognitive style tests or Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT) and numeracy problem solving tests (TPMN). All grade XI 8 students were identified for their cognitive style types using GEFT, then one student was taken each representing each type of cognitive style to be given TPMN. Furthermore, the results of TPMN were analyzed and interviews were conducted. The results of the study showed that: 1) students with Field Independent (FI) cognitive style were able to meet the indicators at the stage of understanding the problem, making a plan, and implementing the plan; but were less able to meet the indicators at the stage of re-checking the results, and overall the analytical reasoning level indicators dominated the solving of numeracy problems, 2) students with Field Dependent (FD) cognitive style met the indicators at the stage of understanding the problem and making a plan but were unable to meet the stage of implementing the plan and re-checking the results so that only a few analytical indicators were seen in solving numeracy problems

Abstract

The Sumatra region plays a significant role in Indonesia's economy. In 2022, for instance, the region contributed 22.04% to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), ranking just below Java, the largest contributor. Sumatra is rich in various resources such as plantations, oil, gas, and geothermal energy. However, the operational activities of freight transportation in Sumatra, particularly West Sumatra, still face several challenges stemming from the transportation system and environmental conditions. This research was conducted to explore the opportunities, challenges, strengths, and weaknesses of implementing a synchromodal transportation system in Sumatra as an analysis for its implementation. The study used the Synchromodality Framework and SWOT Analysis. Several transportation collaboration models have been developed, including unimodality, intermodality, multimodality, and synchromodality. Each model has its advantages and disadvantages and is applied based on the characteristics of the transportation system. Related studies have been conducted on multimodal transport, hub & spoke for regional transportation, and single-mode transport. The study concluded that the advantages of implementing a synchromodal transportation system in Sumatra include better utilization of available resources concerning real-time aspects, flexibility, collaboration and coordination, and synchronization. Its weaknesses are related to the need for collaboration networks among transportation operators from different business sectors. The opportunities for implementing synchromodal transportation in Sumatra include real-time aspects, flexibility, collaboration and coordination, synchronization, and commodity and regional factors. The challenges relate to the complexity of planning synchromodal transportation networks and routes, as well as the need for technological and information system support
