Abstract

The capacity of a region or country to improve the well-being of its community reflects its economic growth and overall living standards. However, achieving sustainable economic growth requires monitoring macroeconomic factors such as poverty and unemployment, which significantly impact regional stability. This study, based on data from Statistics Indonesia, analyzed the relationship between these variables and economic growth using multiple linear regression. The findings suggest that unemployment does not significantly influence economic growth, indicating that its role in economic performance may be limited in this context. Conversely, poverty emerged as a critical factor with a significant impact on economic growth, highlighting its importance in shaping economic outcomes. Together, these variables underscore the need for focused efforts to maintain macroeconomic stability, particularly by addressing poverty, to achieve high and sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Stunting constitutes a significant public health concern with long-term implications for children's growth and development. This study investigates policy innovations implemented by the regional government of Lamandau Regency to address stunting. Utilizing a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that innovative strategies include the integration of health services, education, and community empowerment. Programs such as nutrition awareness campaigns, health cadre training, and the enhancement of child health monitoring systems have played a crucial role in reducing stunting rates in the region. However, challenges persist, particularly in ensuring access to health services in remote areas. This study underscores the necessity of more inclusive and sustainable policies to enhance the effectiveness of stunting reduction initiatives. Consequently, the findings provide a valuable reference for other regions in developing and implementing similar policy interventions.

Abstract

McDonald’s is a highly popular multinational fast-food company that has operated in Russia for over 30 years. However, following the Russia-Ukraine invasion, its operations became unstable, leading the company to decide to close its outlets and sell its business to local entrepreneurs. This decision was prompted by various factors, including community activism and international sanctions. Moreover, the company incurred significant financial losses due to the closure of its stores, totaling $1.4 billion. This study also investigates how McDonald’s adapted to the risk of brand dilution by rebranding as Vkusno i Tocha to protect its global image. Using a descriptive qualitative method with an analytical framework based on Nash Equilibrium theory and conflict theory. The result of this study; finds that McDonald’s acknowledged the need to withdraw from the Russian market due to the invasion and aimed to mitigate further negative impacts.

Abstract

This study examine the consequences of the EU's black campaign on the volume of Indonesia's crude palm oil (CPO) exports to the EU from 2019 to 2023. Using qualitative methods, it analyzes primary data from informants and secondary data from relevant documents. The findings reveal that the Black Campaign and the policies implemented by the EU have significantly contributed to a decline in Indonesia's CPO export volume towards the EU, caused by the damaging portrayal of Environmental issues that are not accurate and the hindrance of export growth caused by protective policies such as RED II. This research contributes to theories in international trade and offers insight for strengthening standardization and certification on of CPO in Indonesia. The implications of this study are critical for understanding the intersection of Environmental concerns and trade policies, for fairer practices in international trade that consider the realities faced by producing countries like Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines adolescent e-money usage behavior in Ambon, influenced by lifestyle, self-control, and family socioeconomic status. Data from surveys, interviews, and observations were analyzed using cluster and descriptive statistical analysis. Findings show that adolescents are grouped into three behavioral categories: Good, Fair, and Poor. Higher family socioeconomic status increases spending tendencies, while low self-control leads to impulsive transactions driven by promotions and peer influence. Additionally, the more money stored in e-money, the more frequently adolescents spend without financial consideration.
