Abstract

The background of this research is that the warm-up for sports or physical education is always done by running around the field. The essence of warming up attempts to prepare physiologically and psychologically to be ready for higher activities. This research has made a real contribution to the development of warm-up activities, which were previously carried out by simply running around the field. The purpose of this research is to produce several game models that can be used as an alternative for warming up. The research design uses development research in sequence, problem exploration, design preparation, expert trials, student trials, small-scale trials, large-scale trials. The design was consulted with physical education lecturers and teachers, student trials were conducted on sports coaching education students, small-scale trials were conducted on sports coaching students, large-scale trials were conducted on elementary and junior high school students. Five types of heating were developed, and the achievement of the heating results was measured by pulse. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The results of the study, five game designs were arranged (1,2,3,4 and 5), the results of small-scale trials stated that the pulse had entered the exercise pulse. Tests on students mean that all games have reached the pulse of practice. It was concluded that these five games based on a series of trials were declared feasible and could be used for warm-up activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this literature review is to review the scientific literature on cooperative learning research in physical education in Indonesia. Two databases (Scopus and Web of Science) were used to select articles containing information on cooperative learning in physical education. The search was conducted following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. After the exclusion criteria, only 7 articles were included in the category. The results show that the types of research used in cooperative learning research in Indonesia vary, namely; quantitative, mixed research (quantitative and qualitative), and development. On average in the study using questionnaires and interviews in data collection. Cooperative learning research in Indonesia is also divided into three groups, (i) cooperative learning models based on local wisdom and basic skills cards (FS), (ii) cooperative learning models of TGT, STAD, and Jigsaw types in sports and online learning, (iii) cooperative learning model in instilling self-confidence, cooperation and moral values. Several limitations inherent in the review have been noted, and it is necessary to carry out further studies of this globally with literature reviews or mapping studies (bibliometric and scientometric), and it is also necessary to do about the application of cooperative learning and its impact, because in today's society, elements of elements such as social relationships, dialogue, and respect, as well as physical activity and sport, are very important.

Abstract

Students' perception is critical because it provides essential information about the current benefits and challenges they are experiencing in the distance and online education setting. This study explores students' perception of physical education regarding the current educational environment in respect to gender, family accommodation, income, gadget, and source of internet connection. 262 1st year students taking minor PE are the participants in this study. Descriptive statistics such as frequency and percentage were utilized to describe the demographic characteristics of the respondents. At the same time, mean and standard deviation were used to describe students' attitudes towards distance and online education. Also, One-way ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U, and Kruskal Wallis H were utilized to determine the significant difference between groups regarding their perspective in the current educational setting. Based on the results, a statistically significant difference was found between groups concerning family accommodation. On the other hand, no difference was observed between groups of gender, income, gadget, and source of internet connection. In summary, most of the students positively perceived this current setting as beneficial to them. However, there are still challenges that pose threats to this current system. In this regard, the recommendation to address the challenges observed based on study findings and recommendations for future research is a result of this.

This research method uses a quantitative approach through a survey where the researcher gives tests and measurements to basketball and futsal extracurricular students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling so that a sample of 40 students consisted of 20 extracurricular basketball students and 20 futsal students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Pontianak. The research instrument is the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI) aged 13-15 years. The research was conducted on 19-25 February 2021. Data analysis used descriptive percentage, assisted by using Microsoft Excel software application. The results of the physical fitness test showed an average difference of 2.5, so there was a significant difference between basketball extracurricular students and futsal extracurricular students. This needs to be considered and taken into account by coaches and sports teachers in providing training programs to students. Based on the results of this study, it can be interpreted that basketball extracurricular has a good contribution compared to futsal extracurricular for students' physical fitness.

Abstract

The round off movement is a movement that is quite difficult to demonstrate by students, this is due to the lack of development of floor gymnastics learning, especially the use of learning media. This study aims to determine the effect of using audio-visual media in improving the learning outcomes of round off gymnastics movements. This study involved 42 students as research samples. The method used is an experiment where treatment is carried out in 12 meetings with data analysis techniques using pre tests and post tests. The research instrument used a round off test consisting of three stages: the initial phase, the main phase, and the final phase. Based on the results of the study that there is an effect of using audio-visual media on the learning outcomes of round off gymnastics movements, and there is an increase of about 30%. So based on the results of the study, the use of audio-visual media is effective for improving the learning outcomes of round off gymnastics movements. The results of the study show positive things how the use of audio-visual media can be a solution and alternative in learning floor gymnastics movements, but there are still some limitations. It is hoped that future researchers can develop by increasing the number of sample groups and involving comparison groups so as to get new findings in the field.

Abstract

The main objective of this study was to determine and evaluate the effectiveness of video-based presentations in providing physical education instructions. This quantitative research used a quasi-experimental which was participated by 46 students taking Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) in one of the tertiary schools in the Philippines which were assigned into two intact groups: experimental and control groups. The study used ANOVA to find a significant difference at 0.05 level in time variables within the group with a p-value of <0.001. It means that there are changes in the pre-test and post-test scores. As a result, it makes a substantial effort to support in the deepening and continual attainment of the learning competencies expected of future Physical educators through video-based presentations. Based on the findings of the study, as the driving factor for attaining the aforementioned goals, teachers must have an interest in learning and grow through professional growth, and self-improvement, as well as the academic performance of the students through the development and improved learning, it means that there are changes in the pre and post scores. This study will be the baseline of information for future researchers who will do comprehensive research on video-based presentations and the integration of technology in the delivery of Physical Education teachings.

Abstract

Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are urged to integrate technology and improve their digital skills in response to the changing overall trend and issues in the educational system. The service physical education course in college refers to four (4) topics required in the first four (4) semesters, which includes Physical Education- Rhythmic Activities. In line with this, the researcher was inspired to develop a video-based learning material for first-year students. The research study aimed to evaluate the developed learning materials by parts and characteristics. The researcher utilized the method of descriptive-evaluative research design and a self-made survey type-questionnaire was employed through an online web provider with a total of 130 students’ respondents with the used of purposive sampling. The validation and reliability of the questionnaire were also utilized and showed the 0.8284 Cronbach alpha which was good. The learning material was described by the respondents in terms of learning objective, content, and application. On the other hand, the evaluation of the learning materials in terms of usability, consistency, versatility, and aesthetic value was observed by the respondents. The findings illustrated that the overall assessment of the students’ respondents in all indicators on the Video-Based Learning Materials are highly acceptable based on their experiences while they are using the materials. This can be utilized by the 1st year students of Higher Education Institutions, revisions still consider in the development of the learning material, and validation may be done on the level of difficulty of the applications and simulations.
