Abstract

Language proficiency is a fundamental and essential skill for elementary school students, particularly in the lower grades. This study aimed to develop a word board learning media for Grade II Indonesian language subjects at SDN 28 Mataram. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of this study were all Grade II students of SDN 28 Mataram, with the research object being the word board learning media in Indonesian language instruction. Data collection techniques included tests, interviews, and questionnaires. The media validation results obtained a score of 96.25% in the very valid category and could be used without revision. The material expert validation result achieved a score of 80% in the valid category and could be used with revision. The language expert validation result obtained a score of 68.75% in the valid category. The practicality test result of the word board media achieved a percentage score of 98% in the very practical category. The effectiveness test result obtained a significance value of 0.56 in the effective category. These findings indicate that the word board learning media in the Indonesian language subject for Grade II at SDN 28 Mataram is proven to be effective in improving students’ understanding of hazardous objects material in the Grade II Indonesian language subject.

Abstract

This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach aimed at producing a valid and practical Problem Based Learning (PBL) model oriented toward Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for Grade V IPAS subjects in elementary schools. The research was conducted at SDN Gugus 1 Aikmel, involving subject matter experts, learning model experts, Grade V teachers, and Grade V students of SDN 02 Aikmel and SDN 03 Aikmel. The development model used was the 4D model, consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. Data collection instruments included expert validation sheets and response questionnaires from teachers and students. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The validation results showed that the learning model expert assessment reached 85.71%, while the subject matter expert assessment reached 91.6%, both categorized as very valid. Practicality testing in the small-group trial obtained a percentage of 92.5%, and in the large-group trial 95%, both categorized as very practical. These findings indicate that the developed learning model is easy for teachers to implement, engaging for students, and supports contextual IPAS learning. Therefore, the STEM-oriented PBL model is considered valid and practical for use in Grade V elementary IPAS learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the deep learning approach within the Kurikulum Merdeka at SD Negeri 26 Mataram. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenological design involving two teacher participants, namely a lower-grade teacher and an upper-grade teacher. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman flow model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Data validity was ensured through time triangulation. The findings reveal both similarities and differences in the implementation of mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning principles across the stages of lesson planning, implementation, and evaluation. Similarities were found in analyzing students’ learning needs, applying differentiated instruction, connecting learning materials to students’ daily experiences, and providing formative feedback. Differences were identified in pedagogical focus: lower-grade teachers emphasized attention management, the use of concrete learning media, and strengthening basic literacy skills, while upper-grade teachers focused more on developing reflective and analytical thinking skills as well as exploring more complex learning concepts. Challenges in lower grades were related to early literacy skills and short attention spans, whereas in upper grades they were associated with the complexity of lesson planning and time management. Overall, the implementation of deep learning was adapted to the developmental characteristics of students at each grade level.

Abstract

The Kinal area and its surroundings in Kaur Regency, Bengkulu Province, are geomorphologically influenced by regional tectonic activity associated with the Bukit Barisan structural system and sedimentary formations of the Lemau Formation. These regional geological conditions control the development of structural, fluvial, karst, and denudational landforms in the study area. The purpose of this study is to analyze the geomorphological characteristics of the Kinal area based on the genetic landform classification of Van Zuidam (1985). The research method applies a geomorphological approach consisting of morphographic, morphometric, and morphogenetic analyses using DEMNas and SRTM data supported by field verification. Landform classification was conducted genetically through interpretation of slope classes, elevation, drainage patterns, lithology, and geomorphic processes. The results indicate six main geomorphic units, namely structural fault ridges, alluvial plains, channel bars, karst hills, weakly dissected denudational hills, and strongly dissected denudational hills, with elevations ranging from 150 to 450 meters above sea level. Drainage patterns are predominantly dendritic and sub-dendritic, reflecting lithological variation and structural control under intensive denudational processes. These findings demonstrate that regional tectonics and lithological resistance play a significant role in controlling geomorphic evolution and landscape development in the Kinal area.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Make A Match type cooperative learning model assisted by quartet card media on students’ learning participation in the Pancasila Education subject for seventh-grade students at SMPN 11 Mataram. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study consisted of all seventh-grade students of SMPN 11 Mataram, totaling 98 students. The sample was determined using random sampling techniques, resulting in class VII C as the experimental class and class VII D as the control class, with a total sample of 48 students. Data collection techniques included observation and a student learning participation questionnaire. The research instruments were first tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted through prerequisite tests, namely normality and homogeneity tests, followed by hypothesis testing using an independent t-test at a 5% significance level. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant effect of implementing the Make A Match type cooperative learning model assisted by quartet card media on students’ learning participation. This is evidenced by the hypothesis testing results showing that the calculated t-value is greater than the t-table value, so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The implementation of the Make A Match type cooperative learning model assisted by quartet card media was able to increase student engagement, learning interaction, and active participation during the Pancasila Education learning process.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of a culturally responsive teaching approach on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 26 Cakranegara on the topic of fractions. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of two classes: Class 5A as the experimental group and Class 5B as the control group, with a total of 60 students. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted through normality testing, homogeneity testing, and the Independent Sample t-test. The results showed that the significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) was < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Therefore, the culturally responsive teaching approach had a positive and significant effect on improving students’ mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh PBL terhadap keterampilan proses sains; (2) pengaruh PBL terhadap hasil belajar kognitif IPAS; (3) perbedaan pengaruh PBL dan pembelajaran konvensional terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif IPAS siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest only control design, pada desain ini kelompok eksperimen maupun kelompok kontrol dipilih secara random. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua variabel yaitu variabel bebas terdiri dari model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL). Variabel terikat diklasifikasikan menjadi 2 yaitu keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas V SDN 1 Pohgading Timur. Sedangkan sampel yang digunakan adalah random sampling yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel dari populasi secara acak. Siswa yang terpilih menjadi sampel adalah siswa dari kelas VA sebagai kelas eksperimen yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan model PBL dan siswa kelas VB sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan menggunakan tes. Sedangkan Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan analisis inferensial dan uji persyaratan analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) PBL berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains; (2) PBL berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kognitif IPAS. (3) PBL berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif IPAS. Keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif IPAS di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Keseluruhan uji dan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa PBL berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif IPAS siswa

Abstract

The Children Learning in Science (CLIS) learning model emphasizes the process of reconstructing students' understanding by directing changes in initial misconceptions towards a more accurate scientific understanding. This study aims to: (1) analyze the influence of the CLIS learning model on improving conceptual understanding and mathematical learning motivation simultaneously; (2) analyze the influence of students' learning styles on improving conceptual understanding and mathematical learning motivation simultaneously; (3) analyze the influence of the CLIS learning model and students' learning styles simultaneously on improving conceptual understanding and mathematical learning motivation; (4) determine the influence of the CLIS learning model on improving conceptual understanding and mathematical learning motivation partially; (5) determine the influence of students' learning styles on improving conceptual understanding and mathematical learning motivation partially; and (6) determine the influence of the interaction between the CLIS learning model and students' learning styles on improving conceptual understanding and mathematical learning motivation partially. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type. The research population was all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Abung Semuli, North Lampung, with sample determination using cluster random sampling technique. The data collection instruments included a learning motivation questionnaire, a learning style questionnaire, and a mathematical concept comprehension ability test. The data obtained were analyzed using a MANOVA test with a significance level of 5%. The results of the study showed that: (1) the CLIS learning model had a significant effect on students' conceptual understanding and mathematical learning motivation, with the highest achievement in conceptual understanding; (2) learning styles had a significant effect on students' conceptual understanding and mathematical learning motivation, where in conceptual understanding the auditory learning style showed the best results compared to visual and kinesthetic learning styles, while in learning motivation the kinesthetic learning style obtained the highest results compared to visual and auditory learning styles; (3) the CLIS learning model and students' learning styles simultaneously had an effect on improving students' conceptual understanding and mathematical learning motivation; (4) the CLIS learning model partially had an effect on improving students' conceptual understanding and mathematical learning motivation; (5) learning styles partially had an effect on improving students' conceptual understanding and mathematical learning motivation; and (6) there is an influence of the CLIS learning model and students' learning styles on increasing conceptual understanding abilities, but there is no influence on mathematical learning motivation partially.

Abstract

Karanggede is part of the Kendeng Zone physiography, which was formed by compressional tectonics since the Middle Oligocene. This zone consists of deep marine to transitional sedimentary deposits with hydrocarbon reservoir potential. The Kerek Formation in the study area is dominated by layered carbonate sandstone and carbonate mudstone. The study site is located in Karangkepoh Village, Karanggede District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java. Geologically, this unit has undergone structural deformation that affects the physical properties of the reservoir rock. This study aims to evaluate the quantity and quality characteristics of the Kerek Formation carbonate sandstone as a hydrocarbon reservoir. The research methods include field observations and laboratory analysis of porosity and permeability parameters. The test results show very low porosity values, ranging from 1.53% to 1.78%. These porosity values indicate the rock's limited ability to store fluids. In contrast, the permeability values range from 98.53 mD to 906.74 mD. These permeability values are classified as good to very good. This condition indicates the presence of fluid flow paths that develop despite limited effective pore space. The relatively high permeability is controlled by grain size and inter-pore connectivity. The rock texture relationship plays a significant role in determining reservoir characteristics. Overall, the carbonate sandstone of the Kerek Formation in the study area acts primarily as a fluid-flow medium rather than a storage medium.

Abstract

Flooding in the Ulu Ogan Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, is generally triggered by high rainfall that causes the rivers in Ulu Ogan to overflow. This study aims to analyze the level of flood vulnerability in Ulu Ogan Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, by utilizing a Geographic Information System (GIS) based on overlay and scoring methods. The overlay method is used to combine various relevant spatial data layers, such as slope gradient, land use, soil type, rainfall, and distance to rivers. Each parameter is assigned a weight and score based on its level of contribution to flood potential, and then integrated to produce a flood vulnerability zoning map. The research area in Ulu Ogan Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, is dominated by a high level of flood vulnerability. The high vulnerability zone covers approximately 16,987.59 ha (70.19%), the moderate vulnerability zone covers 6,691.86 ha (27.65%), and the low vulnerability zone covers 522.9 ha (2.16%).
