Abstract

Ngrancah Village has the potential for coffee education tourism, which is crucial for supporting the community's economic independence towards achieving the Village Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, there are several challenges hindering business development, such as a lack of strong branding and insufficient knowledge among human resources regarding institutional and financial management. This results in the less organized running of edutourism. Additionally, partnerships and collaboration with village officials are not optimal, further hampering business development. This community service involves activities in the form of outreach, training, and mentoring based on Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). The outcomes of these community service activities are as follows: (1) Ngrancah Village's coffee edutourism now has strong branding, expanding its market share; (2) increased knowledge regarding institutional management, enabling members to fulfill their duties and collaborate with stakeholders for business development; and (3) enhanced knowledge and understanding of financial management, leading to the preparation of accountable and transparent financial reports.

Abstract

Stunting can occur during fetal development and becomes apparent when the child reaches two years of age. Without proper intervention, such as balanced catch-up growth, stunting can lead to decreased overall growth. This issue is a significant public health concern, associated with an elevated risk of morbidity, mortality, and impediments to both motor and mental development. One proactive approach to address stunting involves education and training in the preparation of Complementary Feeding (MP-ASI) using locally sourced snakehead fish and Moringa leaves. Our observations, conducted until September 2022, revealed that out of 109 children in Sidoarum Village, 34 were identified as stunted. Our initiative commenced with socialization efforts and progressed to educational sessions and practical training in MP-ASI preparation using local ingredients. Participants in these sessions included 40 mothers of toddlers. Notably, 75% of the participants demonstrating high knowledge following the stunting education and MP-ASI preparation training. In addition to enhancing maternal understanding of stunting prevention, our service providers conducted assessments of toddlers' growth and development.

Abstract

One of the centers for ornamental plants in Bali is located in Petiga Village. However, the marketing of ornamental plants in Petiga Village has not yet embraced digital methods, limiting its reach primarily to the local market. The objective of this community service project is to introduce and train groups of women farmers in utilizing e-commerce to expand the marketing of ornamental plants. This community service activity comprises three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results obtained reveal that the women farmers' group has gained knowledge about marketing ornamental plants through e-commerce. Based on this, it can be concluded that the socialization and training on marketing ornamental plants through e-commerce have provided farmer groups with a better understanding of using digital media. As a next step, farmers still require additional skills in using social media platforms as digital marketing tools, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others.
