Bima Loka: Journal of Physical Education merupakan jurnal yang berisi tentang artikel dalam keilmuan Pendidikan Jasmani yang terbit pada bulan November dan April oleh Prodi Pendidikan jasmani kesehatan dan rekreasi FIO Unesa. Bima Loka: Journal of Physical Education menerima artikel yang membahas tentang Pendidikan Jasmani di semua jenjang pendidikan, mulai dari pendidikan dasar hingga pascasarjana. Topik tentang Pendidikan Jasmani berdasarkan hasil penelitian, gagasan konseptual, maupun hasil kajian teoritis menjadi scope yang dapat diterima, tetapi kami tidak membatasi topik secara umum sejauh masih relevan dengan pendidikan jasmani, seperti: kebijakan pendidikan dan kurikulum, strategi pembelajaran, pengembangan materi, pengembangan lingkungan belajar, pendidikan inklusi, partisipasi siswa dalam aktivitas fisik, nutrisi dan layanan kesehatan sekolah, dan pengembangan profesionalitas guru pendidikan jasmani.

Abstract

Renang merupakan salah satu materi dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani, olahraga, dan kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pengetahuan melalui media audiovisual dan keterampilan renang gaya bebas melalui media alat bantu swimboard dan pullbuoy di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri I Gedangan Sidoarjo. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, weak-experimental dan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan cluster random sampling dengan jumlah 33 siswa. Hasil belajar pengetahuan diukur menggunakan tes tulis berupa pilihan ganda dan keterampilan diukur menggunakan tes renang gaya bebas 25m yang dinilai oleh 3 observer berlisensi renang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwasannya terdapat pengaruh media audiovisual dan alat bantu terhadap hasil belajar renang gaya bebas pada aspek pengetahuan (t= 10.095, p= 0.000<0.05) dan keterampilan (t= 7.743, p= 0.000<0.05). Hasil belajar pada aspek pengetahuan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 52.82% dan pada aspek keterampilan sebesar 32.57%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media audiovisual dan alat bantu renang mempengaruhi hasil belajar renang gaya bebas dengan besar pengaruh rentang sedang.

Abstract

The development of learning outcomes in physical education for students in the 21st century depends on innovation and a series of learning models designed by educators to improve children's critical thinking skills. In the jigsaw cooperative learning model with the advantage of a deeper understanding of the material, cooperation between students is formed, students' motivation in sports increases, and students are trained in responsibility. For junior high school students, there is volleyball material which is one of the big ball game materials. This research aims to find out whether the application of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model can improve volleyball learning outcomes for junior high school level students. This investigation uses quantitative research with a pure experimental type through a randomized control group pretest-posttest design. In this study, the instruments used were knowledge tests and skills tests, with samples using cluster random sampling to determine 2 classes, namely 8-D as the experimental class and 8-C as the control class. The results of this study used parametric tests on knowledge tests with P-value results of 0.00 < 0.05, which means there was an increase in learning outcomes using the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model on student knowledge and on skills tests with non-parametric tests with results obtained p < 0.05, which means there was significant improvement. Student learning outcomes increased by 68.27% on the knowledge test and by 68.27% on the skills test using the N-Gain test. So it can be concluded that the application of the jigsaw cooperative influences volleyball learning outcomes in the improvement category quite effectively.

Abstract

Anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) memiliki keterlambatan perkembangan motorik secara umum disamping mereka juga memiliki keterbatasa intelektual dan kemandirian. Project based learning (PjBL) merupakan model pembelajaran yang fokus pada kemendirian siswa yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran motorik. Hanya saja, implementasi kepada ABK sangat terbatas. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh PjBL terhadap keterampilan psikomotorik ABK. Penelitian weak-experimental ini menggunakan desain one group pretest postes. Melibatkan sebanyak 13 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling dengan kriteria yaitu tungrahita ringan dan memiliki kemampuan untuk mengikuti instruksi gerak. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes psikomotorik berupa bola warna. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif dan t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan model PjBL terhadap keterampilan motorik siswa (t= 11.744, p= 0.000). Penerapan PjBL di SLB secara penuh tidak dapat dilakukan, banyak penyesuaian yang dilakukan agar siswa dapat mengikuti tahap sesuai dengan kriteria minimalnya. Untuk itu, guru perlu lebih jeli lagi dalam menentukan kriteria siswa yang mampu mengikuti tahap PjBL agar efektivitas pembelajaran menjadi lebih tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui permainan Karapan Evakuasi dengan pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) pada siswa kelas 3C SDN Airlangga 1/198 Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dilaksanakan dengan presiklus untuk mengetahui data awal, kemudian dilakukan pembelajaran sebanyak 2 siklus dengan perlakuan berupa pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching  dengan permainan karapan evakuasi pada setiap siklusnya. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 24 siswa yang hadir pada setiap pertemuan (pre-siklus, siklus 1, siklus 2) dan bukan siswa inklusi, dari 29 siswa kelas 3C dengan laki-laki 15 dan perempuan 9, berusia 8-10 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes tertulis untuk aspek pengetahuan dan tes permainan sirkuit dengan empat lintasan untuk aspek keterampilan. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan repeated measurement anova. Post-hoc LSD menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus ke presiklus, 1, dan 2 baik pada hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan (siklus pre-1 p= 0,000, siklus 1-2 p= 0,001, dan siklus pre-2 p= 0,000) dengan nilai pada presiklus 84,17 kemudian meningkat di siklus 1 sebesar 92,08 dan meningkat lagi di siklus 2 sebesar 95,83,  maupun hasil belajar aspek keterampilan (siklus pre-1 p= 0,000, siklus 1-2 p= 0,083, dan siklus pre-2 p= 0,000) dengan rata rata nilai pada presiklus 84,17 kemudian meningkat di siklus 1 sebesar 92,08 dan meningkat lagi di siklus 2 sebesar 95,83. Dapat disimpulkan pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching melalui permainan Karapan Evakuasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar gerak dasar. Diharapkan untuk peneliti selanjutnya dapat menerapkan permainan Karapan Evakuasi pada materi PJOK lain yang berhubungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis permainan tic tac toe sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran atletik lari estafet. Motivasi belajar yang rendah sering kali mengakibatkan kurangnya keterlibatan siswa, terutama pada materi atletik yang dianggap monoton dan teknis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D dengan model ADDIE untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran bagi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 2 Malang, melibatkan analisis kebutuhan, desain media, uji validasi, dan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, serta menganalisis data secara deskriptif menggunakan skala Likert yang dikonversikan ke persentase. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan mendapatkan penilaian yang sangat baik dari ahli materi, media, dan atletik, dengan persentase kelayakan masing-masing sebesar 91,07%, 95,45%, dan 90%. Selain itu, uji coba kelompok yang melibatkan 56 responden menunjukkan hasil persentase 84,31%, yang juga dikategorikan sebagai "Sangat Layak". Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pengembangan media tic tac toe dalam pembelajaran lari estafet terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik dan interaktif.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the gross motor skills of first grade elementary school students through the application of the Ninja Warrior learning model in PJOK activities. This collaborative Classroom Action Research was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the study were 24 students of class 1B SDN Jajartunggal 1/450 Surabaya in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection was carried out using a knowledge assessment in the form of a multiple-choice test to measure students' understanding of basic movement concepts, as well as a skills assessment through a performance observation sheet that assessed motor aspects, namely coordination, balance, and agility. Data analysis used descriptive Wilcoxon statistics. The results showed that the knowledge aspect increased significantly (Z = 3.230, p = 0.001 <0.05) from 65.3 in cycle I to 77.7 in cycle II, increasing by 19.0%. The skill aspect increased significantly (Z= 2.929, p= 0.003<0.05) from 66.0 in cycle I to 75.6 in cycle II, an increase of 14.7%. The conclusion of this study is that the Ninja Warrior model is effective as a physical activity-based PE learning strategy that is fun and structured in improving student learning outcomes, both in terms of knowledge and skills.

Abstract

Highlighting the importance of fundamental motor skills encompassing balance, locomotor, and manipulative abilities in the physical development of elementary school children. This study aims to ascertain and provide a better understanding of holistic fundamental motor skills, aiding in identifying children needing continuous intervention. This quantitative descriptive study employs a cross-sectional approach involving 310 respondents of elementary school students aged 7 to 9 years old. The research instrument comprises an assessment rubric with performance observations encompassing eleven types of fundamental motor skills. Ideal mean formula and ideal standard deviation are utilized to analyze data regarding the proficiency levels of each motor skill category. Additionally, an Independent Sample t-test is employed to ascertain the data differences among elementary school students based on gender. The research findings indicate that the elementary school students' fundamental motor skills have an average performance assessment mean of 32.14 (36.12%), with the majority falling into the "good" category. The average performance score of male students is higher than that of female students, with a mean of 30.32 and a standard deviation of 3.590, while the average performance score of female students is 28.48, with a standard deviation of 3.208. They explain the variation in motor skills among elementary school students aged 7 to 9. Most students exhibit proficient skills, although some fall into the unsatisfactory motor skill category. On average, male students demonstrate higher motor skills compared to female students.

Abstract

Smoking is a known risk factor for impaired lung function, even among physically active individuals. The harmful substances contained in cigarettes are known to disrupt lung function and damage lung tissue, which, over time, can reduce vital lung capacity. On the other hand, regular physical activity has been proven to enhance lung capacity. However, there is still a lack of research specifically comparing the vital lung capacity between physically active male smokers and non-smokers. This study aimed to determine the differences in vital lung capacity between physically active male smokers and non-smokers. The study involved 50 male university students aged 20–23 who regularly exercised twice weekly. Subjects were divided into 25 smokers and 25 non-smokers with similar morphological characteristics. Vital lung capacity was measured using a digital spirometer connected to a computer. The results showed that the non-smoker group had a significantly larger vital lung capacity than the smoker group, with an average difference of 0.41 liters (p<0.05). These findings indicate that although both groups were physically active, smoking habits still negatively impacted vital lung capacity. Although the difference may not be fatal from a physiological standpoint, it can potentially affect sports performance, particularly in disciplines that rely heavily on respiratory capacity, such as aerobic-based sports and freediving.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the traditional game Gobak Sodor as a medium for developing gross motor skills in elementary school students physical education. The research employed a true experimental pretest–posttest control group design involving 40 children aged 7–9 years from SD Nusantara Jakarta Timur. Participants were randomly assigned to an experimental group, which participated in structured Gobak Sodor sessions twice a week for four weeks, and a control group, which performed conventional physical education activities. The gross motor observation sheet served as the instrument to assess strength, agility, balance, and coordination. Data from pretests and posttests were analyzed using paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests via SPSS version 25, with a significance level of 0.05. The results indicated a significant improvement in the experimental group (mean score increased from 15.22 to 76.11) compared with the control group (12.17 to 62.67), with p = 0.003. These findings confirm that Gobak Sodor positively influences gross motor skill enhancement in elementary school students, while also promoting social interaction and cultural appreciation through play-based learning. The study’s limitations include a short intervention period and a relatively small sample size. Future research should involve larger samples and explore other traditional games to enhance generalizability and deepen understanding of culturally grounded physical education strategies.
