Abstract

Jam Dinding yang Berdengkang is a theatrical performance inspired by the drama Jam Dinding yang Berdetak by Nano Riantiarno. In writing this play, the writer applies a spin-off pattern so that the characters in the Jam Dinding yang Berdengkang are still the same characters with different points of view and problems. In creating the show Jam Dinding yang Berdengkang the author conducted research related to the problems in the show, namely the condition of poverty in Medan City. The creation of this show uses a qualitative approach in collecting data . ABSTRAKJam Dinding yang Berdengkang merupakan pertunjukan teater yang terinspirasi dari drama Jam Dinding yang Berdetak karya Nano Riantiarno. Dalam penulisan drama ini, penulis menerapkan pola spin-off sehingga karakter yang terdapat dalam Jam Dinding yang Berdengkang tetap tokoh yang sama dengan sudut pandang dan permasalahan yang berbeda. Dalam penciptaan pertunjukan Jam Dinding yang Berdengkang penulis melakukan penelitian terkait dengan permasalahan dalam pertunjukan yaitu kondisi kemiskinan di Kota Medan. Penciptaan pertunjukan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dalam mengumpulkan data terkait tema pertunjukan dan metode planting dalam proses penciptaan.

Abstract

This tragic rhythm research aims to explore the strategic tragedy and the characteristic Shakespearean Tragedy in William Shakespeare's King Lear. The material object in this study is the King Lear by William Shakespeare translated by Trisno Sumardjo, while the formal object used is Fergusson's Tragic Rhythm theory. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques, text studies and literature studies. The results achieved in this study are the characteristics of Shakespearean Tragedy in King Lear's consisting of the fall of the king, the omnipotence of destiny and characters who have tragic defects. Meanwhile, the tragic rhythm is found in three stages, the stage of King Lear's obsession, the stage where King Lear encounters obstacles and the stage when King Lear realizes his mistake.AbstrakPenelitian irama tragika ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri strategi tragedi dan karakteristik shakespearean tragedy dalam naskah Raja Lear karya William Shakespeare. Objek material dalam penelitian ini adalah naskah Raja Lear karya William Shakespeare terjemahan Trisno Sumardjo, sedangkan objek formal yang digunakan adalah teori Irama Tragika Fergusson. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu studi teks dan studi pustaka. Hasil yang dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah karakteristik Shakespearean Tragedy dalam naskah Raja Lear terdiri dari kejatuhan raja, kemahakuasaan takdir dan tokoh yang memiliki cacat tragis. Sedangkan irama tragika ditemukan dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu tahap obsesi Raja Lear, tahap Raja Lear mendapatkan hambatan dan tahap Raja Lear menyadari kesalahannya.

Abstract

The article entitled Analysis of the Role of "Tokoh Nenek" in the Kereta Kencana Performance by Eugene Ionesco Saduran Ws Rendra Director Efyuhardi uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis approach, explaining and describing the analysis of the character "Nenek" in the Kereta Kencana show. The events of the performance in the Golden Train, more satirize the emptiness of polite conversation, mechanical pleasantries that are conveyed casually. In the Kereta Kencana show there are several characters including: Tokoh Kakek, tokoh Nenek, as well as imaginary figures presented with flowers (guest characters and child characters). This study aims to analyze the "Tokoh Nenek". Secara fisik dan kejiwaan tokoh “Nenek” menarik untuk dianalisis. Peristiwa pertunjukan  dalam Kereta Kencana, lebih menyindir kehampaan percakapan yang sopan, percakapan basa-basi mekanis yang disampaikan sambil lalu saja. Dalam pertunjukan Kereta Kencana terdapat beberapa tokoh diantaranya: tokoh Kakek, tokoh Nenek, serta tokoh-tokoh imajinasi yang dihadirkan dengan bunga-bunga (tokoh tamu-tamu dan tokoh anak). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa “tokoh Nenek”. Proses Analisa di bagi menjadi tiga bagian analisis, yaitu ;a) penokohan berdasarkan rasional, b) penokohan berdasarkan ortologis, c)  berdasarkan struktural.

Abstract

The presentation of Rahman's character in Iswadi Pratama's drama Orang Setia uses Stanislavsy's acting method which he calls the system. Stanislavsky's system is an acting method created to understand characters scientifically so that they can be presented by actors on stage. In Stanislavsky's acting method, there are three parts that he calls the "triad" of musicians, namely the first creative work of the actor centered on the mind (brain), the second creative work of the actor with his emotions (heart), and the third work of the actor with his body (action). The triad becomes the center of the presenter's creative work to realize the character of Rahman in the drama Orang Setia by Iswadi Pratama so that the acting presented can give a natural impression, not contrived. More than that, the behavior presented can be measured as in everyday life, especially by ordinary audiences.

Abstract

Playing the character Vasilli Svietlovidoff in the script "Nyanyian Angsa" by Anton P. Chekhov, translated by Djohan A Nasution, is an effort to bring the character to life for performance. The formulation presented in this context is how to analyze the character of Vasilli Svietlovidoff and how to portray the character using Stanislavski's The System method. This conceptual framework employs a representational approach to realize a performance in a realistic style. Abstract

The research titled "Narrative Analysis Using Jungian Personality Psychology Perspective with Focus on the Character Mrs. Martopo in the Rough People Manuscript by Anton Chekhov aims to analyze gender issues in female characters in the manuscript using Carl Gustav Jung's perspective on personality psychology. This study applies narrative analysis using qualitative method with data collection techniques from the manuscript, translations, and relevant sources. Gender issues on Mrs. Martopo include her husband's infidelity, gender roles, and social adaptation. This narrative analysis provides new insights into the relationship between literature, personality psychology, and Jungian Theory, depicting how psychological understanding can provide interpretive depth to characters in literary works. This research can serve as a foundation for further research in the fields of theater, literature, psychology, and gender studies.

Abstract

This role creation work uses the concept of problem solving through strategy and effort. The strategy and efforts were applied to the character of Mrs Latummahina in the Pelangi script by Nano Riantiarno. The research method used is a descriptive-qualitative method which is based on analysis of the script, while the acting method used is the Stanislavski acting method. The findings from the creation of the character of Mrs Latummahina are that there are three acting strategies used, namely providing a script, understanding the character and acting the character. In order for the acting strategy to be achieved, the acting efforts chosen are script selection, script analysis, characterization analysis, designing acting concepts, applying acting methods, the process of creating roles and dressing actors.

Abstract

This research uses qualitative methods to understand conditions in the field in a real and clear manner. This article reviews the significant role played by Tambak Bayan Creative House (RKTB) in character education for its participants, especially children from low economic backgrounds and academic challenges. RKTB provides a platform for participants to develop their creativity through various arts and cultural activities. His character education program not only enhances artistic abilities, but also teaches values such as cooperation, honesty, and respect, which are important for an individual's holistic development. The evaluation results show a significant increase in the academic achievement and personal development of RKTB participants, reflected in increased learning motivation and the ability to express themselves creatively. This article concludes that RKTB is not only a center for creativity, but also an environment that builds positive character and helps participants to grow as valuable individuals in society
