Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of competency and remuneration on the performance of healthcare workers, with work discipline as an intervening variable. A quantitative research method was employed, and data were collected through the distribution of research instruments to 149 healthcare workers at Rumah Sakit Pusat Pertamina. The data were analyzed used the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach. The results indicate that competency has a positive and significant effect on work discipline and the performance of healthcare workers, remuneration does not have a significant effect on either work discipline or performance, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on performance. Competency also has a positive and significant indirect effect on performance through work discipline, whereas remuneration does not affect performance through work discipline. This study develops a holistic model linking competency and remuneration to healthcare workers’ performance, while also exploring the simultaneous role of work discipline as an intervening variable. It is recommended the hospitals optimize the productivity of healthcare workers by improving a transparent and fair remuneration system, enhancing training and educational opportunities, providing recognition and feedback on employee performance, and reinforcing adherence to work discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors on financial performance through Financial Resilience as a mediating variable in Indonesian banking sector. The research investigates the effect of environmental, social, and governance dimensions on financial performance, with Financial Resilience serving as a mediating variable in KBMI 3 and KBMI 4 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. A quantitative explanatory approach was applied using panel data regression and path analysis via EViews version 13. The sample consists of 13 banks using saturated sampling technique, resulting in 65 observations. The findings reveal that social and governance factors have a significant positive impact on financial performance, while environmental factors show a negative and insignificant effect. All three ESG dimensions demonstrate positive and significant influences on financial resilience. Furthermore, Financial Resilience significantly and positively affects financial performance. The mediation analysis indicates that Financial Resilience successfully mediates the relationship between social and governance factors with financial performance, but fails to mediate the environmental-financial performance relationship. This study contributes to the theoretical literature by enhancing insights into the integration of ESG practices and financial resilience in shaping banking performance, particularly in the context of Indonesia's large-scale banking institutions (KBMI 3 and 4).

Abstract

The rising public awareness of environmental issues has influenced consumer behavior, particularly in purchasing environmentally friendly products. This study analyzes the influence of Greenwashing, Subjective Norm, and Perceived Behavioral Control on Green Purchase Intention for eco-friendly packaged Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), with Green Trust as a mediating variable. A total of 250 respondents from Banten, Jakarta, and West Java, who are knowledgeable about environmental issues and eco-friendly FMCG products, were selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS. Results indicate that Subjective Norm and Perceived Behavioral Control have a significant positive effect on Green Trust. Additionally, Subjective Norm, Perceived Behavioral Control, and Green Trust significantly influence Green Purchase Intention. While Greenwashing does not significantly affect Green Trust, it has a significant negative effect on Green Purchase Intention. Mediation analysis shows that Green Trust does not mediate the relationship between Greenwashing and Green Purchase Intention, but partially mediates the relationships between Subjective Norm and Perceived Behavioral Control with Green Purchase Intention. These findings offer important theoretical and practical insights into consumer behavior toward environmentally friendly packaged products.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of three main factors—Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), green finance, and operational efficiency—on firm value, with financial performance as a mediating variable. The objects of this study were KBMI 3 and 4 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. The research method used was a quantitative approach with secondary data, where the data were analyzed using path analysis and the Sobel test to test the mediation effect. The results of this study reveal several important findings. Directly, ESG has a negative and significant influence on firm value, but a positive influence on financial performance. Meanwhile, operational efficiency and green finance do not have a significant direct influence on firm value. However, both have a positive influence on financial performance. Specifically, this study found that financial performance is proven to positively mediate the influence of green finance and operational efficiency on firm value. However, financial performance is unable to mediate the influence of ESG on firm value. These findings contribute significantly to the literature by confirming that financial performance plays a crucial role in linking a company's efficiency and sustainability strategies with increased firm value.

Abstract

This research addresses the decline of public trust in philanthropic institutions in Indonesia after the misuse of donation funds in 2022. The case affected the Yayasan Badan Wakaf Al-Qur’an, which faced a decrease in donation revenue in 2023. The organization conducted an internal evaluation, and the researcher examined employee performance through competence, compensation, and job stress. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of competence and compensation on employee performance with job stress as a mediating variable. The researcher conducted this study in 2024 on 150 employees of Yayasan Badan Wakaf Al-Qur’an. The sample consisted of 110 employees who were selected using the Slovin formula. The researcher applied a quantitative method with a causal associative approach. The researcher collected primary data through online questionnaires and analyzed the data using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in SmartPLS4. The findings show that competence significantly improves employee performance and reduces job stress. Compensation does not influence job stress and does not influence employee performance. Job stress significantly decreases employee performance. Competence indirectly improves employee performance through job stress, but compensation does not show any indirect effect. These results highlight the importance of strengthening competence to improve employee performance in nonprofit organizations.
