Abstract

Systematic monitoring of children's growth and development is very important for early childhood educators. However, many PAUD institutions still record child development manually, which is less efficient, and risks data accuracy. Technology integration is the right solution to answer these challenges. This community service aims to improve the ability of teachers to utilize information technology to monitor children's growth and development, optimizing the recording of developmental data through the SIPPA application. This activity is carried out in stages; Preparation, socialization, technical training, implementation of SIPPA use practices, monitoring, and evaluation. The subjects of this activity are all teachers of Baiturrohim Kindergarten. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the capacity of Baiturrohim Kindergarten teachers in managing child development data digitally. The teachers showed high enthusiasm for the integration of technology in the administrative process of documenting children's growth and development. In addition, this activity also has a positive impact on the institution as a whole, because the recording system becomes more organized, transparent, and easily accessible when needed. In the future, it is hoped that teachers' ability to use the SIPPA application can continue to be developed in an ongoing manner, so that recording children's development is not only an administrative obligation, but also an important instrument in designing learning that is more targeted and based on actual data.

Abstract

While MSMEs play a vital role, they still face serious challenges, particularly in marketing. Many MSMEs in villages still rely on conventional methods to market their products, such as direct sales in traditional markets, word of mouth, or local marketing with very limited reach. This results in superior village products, such as Getek Online (GeOL), being unable to compete more broadly in regional or national markets. Various digital platforms such as social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), marketplaces (Shopee, Tokopedia, Bukalapak), and e-commerce websites and applications provide significant opportunities for MSMEs to expand market reach and increase product competitiveness. Not only does it increase sales, digital marketing also helps businesses understand consumer behavior, build long-term relationships with customers, and increase promotional effectiveness at a relatively lower cost than conventional media. Responding to these challenges, the Getek Online (GeOL) initiative emerged, a community-based movement to digitalize the marketing of river crossings using crossing tools made from wood and bamboo, typical of Pematang Serai village. GeOL is a local innovation aimed at facilitating village MSMEs in utilizing digital marketing collectively and in a structured manner.

Abstract

Waste management remains a critical issue in Indonesia, driven by rapid population growth and the increasing volume of household waste that has not been properly addressed. In Meranjat II Village, Indralaya Selatan Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir Regency, waste is still predominantly managed through conventional practices such as open burning or direct disposal into rivers and fields, which contributes to environmental pollution and health risks. To address this challenge, a community service program was introduced to enhance residents’ knowledge and awareness by implementing waste banks as an environmentally friendly and economically beneficial solution. The program engaged residents in socialization sessions, group discussions, and practical waste-sorting activities. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, and analyzed using a descriptive quantitative approach to assess community acceptance. The results revealed significant improvements, with 80% of participants understanding the importance of waste separation, 90% demonstrating greater concern for environmental cleanliness, and 74% expressing willingness to participate in the waste bank program actively. Nevertheless, challenges remain, including limited supporting facilities, low environmental literacy, and uneven participation. Continuous support from village authorities and other stakeholders is essential to ensure the program’s success and sustainability. Overall, this initiative not only raised environmental awareness but also created opportunities for community-based economic empowerment through sustainable waste management.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the financial digital literacy of MSME actors in Lampupok Village, Aceh Besar, as an effort to promote transparency and efficiency in village financial management. The main problem faced by MSMEs is their limited ability to use digital technology for financial recording and reporting, which affects business accountability and efficiency. The implemented solutions include an initial survey to identify the level of digital literacy, training on the use of digital bookkeeping applications, implementation assistance, and post-training monitoring and evaluation. The results show an increase in financial digital literacy scores from 45 to 75, a rise in MSMEs regularly preparing digital financial reports from 25% to 80%, and a reduction in manual recording time from an average of 5 hours to 2 hours per week. Furthermore, 90% of participants expressed satisfaction or high satisfaction with the program. This activity demonstrates that improving financial digital literacy can enhance the performance, transparency, and credibility of MSMEs before financial institutions. However, limited internet access and technical skills remain challenges to be addressed in future programs.

Abstract

The Average Effective Rate is a new method for calculating Income Tax article 21, which will be implemented by the Indonesian government starting January 1, 2024. TER aims to simplify the process of calculating Income Tax Article 21 and make the taxation system more equitable. Additionally, at the beginning of 2025, the Directorate General of Taxes will implement an administrative service system called Coretax for all tax reporting purposes. The Directorate General of Taxes has conducted extensive outreach; however, it appears that many vocational school accounting teachers are unaware of the changes to Income Tax Article 21 regulations, the method for calculating Income Tax Article 21 using the Average Effective Rate method, and the process for reporting using Coretax. This community service program aims to provide new knowledge about Income Tax Article 21 using the Average Effective Rate method, to improve skills in calculating Income Tax Article 21 using the Average Effective Rate, and to acquire the skills to apply Coretax to create Income Tax Article 21 withholding slips and Income Tax Article 21 periodic tax return reports. This training activity was held at Yarsi University, serving as a concrete example of higher education institutions' contribution to improving the quality of teachers in the field of taxation. The tax training was attended by 36 teachers from various vocational schools in the Central Jakarta area. This community service activity ran smoothly and achieved its objectives. This is demonstrated by the results, which show that MGMP teachers have gained an increase in competence, specifically being able to calculate PPh 21 using the Average Effective Rate method and creating Income Tax Article 21 withholding slips and Income Tax Article 21 Periodic Tax Returns.

Abstract

The Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa) initiated by the Economics and Accounting Student Association of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha was carried out in Penuktukan Village, Tejakula District, Buleleng Regency, Bali, with a focus on a blue economy-based transformation. The village has significant marine tourism potential through coral reefs and diving spots, yet its development remains limited due to low financial literacy, weak institutional capacity, and threats of marine ecosystem degradation. This program aims to empower local communities by strengthening the capacity of tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis) and marine community surveillance groups (Pokmaswas), promoting digital financial literacy for MSMEs, and supporting coral reef conservation for sustainable tourism management. The partners involved included village authorities, Pokdarwis, Pokmaswas, youth organizations, and local MSMEs. The program was conducted in three phases: preparation (survey, FGD, and needs assessment), implementation (socialization, training, drafting of village regulations, marine conservation, product development and digital marketing, and revitalization of tourism infrastructure), and evaluation (pre-test and post-test, field observation, and feedback questionnaires). The results indicate significant improvement in community awareness, with the average pre-test score of 45.8 increasing to 84.7 in the post-test. Local practices of destructive fishing have decreased, MSMEs adopted digital bookkeeping through the Buku Warung application, and Pokdarwis improved their skills in digital promotion. Furthermore, a village tourism community was established as a platform for continuous education. This program successfully enhanced ecological awareness, social solidarity, and economic independence, contributing to the development of Penuktukan as a sustainable marine tourism destination based on the blue economy approach.

Abstract

This community engagement program aims to enhance the effectiveness of marketing performance audits at PT Cipta Niaga Semesta, an authorized distributor of PT Mayora Indah Tbk products in West Kalimantan. The main issues faced by the partner company include the suboptimal use of sales data, the unsystematic management of customer feedback, and the high volume of damaged goods, which have not been analyzed as performance indicators. To address these challenges, the academic team from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Widya Dharma Pontianak University, implemented a learning-by-doing mentoring program integrating training, audit simulation, and the analysis of the company’s real operational data. The implementation method consisted of four main stages: preparation, core training, evaluation, and follow-up. Participants were trained to analyze sales trends, identify causes of product damage, design customer satisfaction surveys, and integrate the findings into a comprehensive marketing audit report. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding, particularly in preparing data-based audit reports (with an improvement of up to 84%). Key findings indicate a negative relationship between the level of damaged goods and customer satisfaction, highlighting the need for a digital system to record returns and store feedback. Through this activity, the company successfully developed an integrated marketing audit template that encompasses sales, logistics, and customer perception data. The mentoring program not only improved staff competencies but also strengthened distribution efficiency and marketing management transparency at both the corporate and retail partner levels.

Abstract

This community engagement activity was implemented at Credit Union (CU) Muara Kasih Pontianak, a member-based microfinance institution that plays a vital role in community economic empowerment, particularly the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. CU Muara Kasih faces challenges in loan disbursement amid competition and a difficult economic situation. Based on observations, there were still loans categorized as non-performing (NPLs), indicating the necessity for enhancing human resource capacity in credit risk management. The purpose of this community service program is to enhance the competence of employees of Credit Union (CU) Muara Kasih Pontianak in credit analysis and credit risk management as an effort to optimize lending effectiveness and reduce non-performing loans. The activity was conducted over two days in October 2024 and involved all seven CU employees. The methods employed included interactive lectures, case studies based on real data, a simple credit scoring simulation, and mentoring for the development of a standardized credit analysis template. Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in participants' technical abilities in performing credit analysis and risk identification, with an average post-test score increase of 60.6% compared to the pre-test. Furthermore, the CU began implementing an integrated credit analysis template and a spreadsheet-based quarterly financial performance audit system. The impact of this activity was evident in the increased efficiency of credit reporting, transparency in the evaluation process, and enhanced employee competency within the three-month post-training period. This initiative also strengthened member trust in CU Muara Kasih and serves as a model for implementing collaborative learning between academics and microfinance institutions to improve member financial literacy.
