Abstract

This study focuses on the role of self-efficacy management among students in the formation of an Arabic language culture at SMP Tashfia Boardinh School. In both school and dormitory language practices, students' motivation, abilities, and participation in Arabic practice have not been optimal. The majority of Grade VII (71%) and Grade VIII (57%) students were recorded violating the rules for using the designated language. This is due to limited interaction in Arabic conversations among students and between students and mentors, as well as insufficient supervision in the dormitory. The management of students' self-efficacy was assessed based on two main informants. Informant 1 (KI 1) showed progress in self-efficacy management, although there remains a gap between the set goals and actual achievements, particularly in understanding Quranic vocabulary and using Arabic in daily conversations. This underachievement affected KI 1's self-confidence and motivation. However, with positive emotional management and support from teachers, KI 1 was able to reduce the stress experienced. Informant 2 (KI 2), on the other hand, demonstrated good self-efficacy management across all aspects, including goal-setting, self-reflection, and stress management. Overall, both informants met the criteria for self-efficacy management in the formation of Arabic language culture, although KI 1 requires a more structured approach. This research employed a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis involving various stakeholders, including students, teachers, and other relevant parties.

Abstract

The problem of budget absorption capacity every year is a routine problem for local governments in every budget period. According to the data collected, regional tax revenues and regional levies in Bener Meriah Regency as part of the source of Original Regional Income revenue have decreased. This decrease was caused by the failure to achieve regional tax and regional levy budget targets. The aim of this research is to analyze and prove how much influence regional taxes and regional levies have on the original regional income of Bener Meriah Regency for 2019-2023. The population in this study is all tax collection receipts in the bookkeeping and balancing fund division of Bener Meriah Regency. This research uses quantitative data. Data can be accessed via the official BPKPA website for Bener Meriah Regency. The sample used is the Bener Meriah Regency Realization Report for the 2019-2023 fiscal year. The data analysis used is panel data regression analysis and the tests used are the T test, F test and coefficient of determination. The research results show that regional taxes have an effect on PAD. Meanwhile, regional levies have no effect on PAD. Meanwhile, simultaneously, the stimulus components measured by regional tax and regional levy variables have an effect on PAD.

Abstract

Drinking water is a primary need for human life, but its quality must meet health standards to be safe for consumption. Refillable Drinking Water Depot (DAMIU) is an alternative for the community in fulfilling drinking water needs at a more affordable price. However, not all refill drinking water meets the health standards set by the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010. This study aims to detect the presence of Coliform bacteria in refill drinking water sold in Jalan Benteng Hilir Tembung, Medan. The method used in this research is descriptive method with microbiological test approach using Most Probable Number (MPN). The examination was conducted at the Microbiology Laboratory of Sari Mutiara Indonesia University Medan using Lactose Broth and Brilliant Green Lactose Bile (BGLB) broth media. The samples taken were 6 samples from various refill drinking water depots in the research location. The results showed that of the 6 samples tested, 4 samples showed positive results for the presence of Coliform bacteria based on the initial test with Lactose Broth media. Furthermore, confirmation tests with BGLB media at 37°C for 1x24 hours showed MPN numbers ranging from 8.8 to 240/100 ml samples, while at 44°C for 1x24 hours, MPN numbers ranged from 10 to 27/100 ml samples. These results indicate that most of the tested refill drinking water does not meet the quality standards set by the government. The conclusion of this study is that there is Coliform bacterial contamination in some of the refill drinking water samples tested, so the water is not suitable for consumption without further treatment. Therefore, strict supervision of the quality of refill drinking water is needed as well as education to the public about the importance of consuming water that meets health standards to prevent the risk of disease due to bacterial contamination.

Abstract

How does the law relate to drug abuse? How does North Sulawesi handle and combat drugs? Research, also known as research, is a very educationally beneficial search effort because it teaches us to always be aware that we still do not know much about this world. What we search for, find, and know may not be completely true, because it still needs to be tested again. The method is the main way to achieve a goal, to achieve the expected level of accuracy, quantity, and type. Secondary data sources, consisting of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, are used as normative legal research methods. To tighten supervision of the distribution and use of drugs, several laws have been made, such as Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. For users who qualify as victims of addiction, the justice system is expected to act not only repressively but also rehabilitatively. The use of legal sanctions together with a rehabilitation approach is considered more effective in combating the chain of drug abuse. In legal efforts to prevent and stop drug abuse, there are primary prevention, secondary prevention, and tertiary prevention. All people and levels of society, such as parents, teachers, and lecturers at schools and the entire community, can carry out prevention and control in various ways. Efforts to control drug abuse must be directed at prevention, strict but fair law enforcement, and recovery for users through rehabilitation.

Abstract

The city of Manado, as one of the centers of economic growth in North Sulawesi, has experienced an increasing demand for transportation in line with population growth and urbanization. This phenomenon presents challenges related to overloaded freight transport, which impacts traffic safety and road infrastructure conditions. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Permenhub Number 18 of 2021 concerning the supervision of freight transport loads in the city of Manado. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving the Head of the Transportation Agency of Manado City and three truck drivers as samples selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, field observations, and analysis of related documents. The focus of the research is to identify the effectiveness of the supervision carried out by the Transportation Agency of Manado City and the evaluation measures taken on vehicles with excessive loads. The findings indicate that the supervision of freight transport loads still faces several challenges, including a lack of supporting facilities such as weighbridges and limited monitoring personnel.
