Hadirnya Mitra Akademia: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dengan e-ISSN 2684-8422 yang diterbitkan oleh Unit Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (UP2M), Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) ini dimaksudkan sebagai sarana penyebarluasan (diseminasi) luaran (output) kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (community engagement/community development) yang dilakukan para dosen, peneliti, guru, mahasiswa dan juga profesi lain. Jurnal ini terbit 2 (dua) kali setahun, yakni Juni dan Desember. Redaksi menerima artikel jurnal dalam Bahasa Indonesia maupun Bahasa Inggris, resensi buku dan juga ringkasan disertasi (monograf) terkait tema pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Mitra Akademia is a journal that focuses on community development, as well as community engagement that published by the Research and Community Development Unit of Politeknik Negeri Jakarta. The e-ISSN is 2684-8422. It publishes 2 (two) issues per year, June and December. This journal receives any journal articles, book reviews, dissertation summary, and other similar things both in Bahasa Indonesia and English which are stemmed from community engagement activities conducted by lecturers, teachers, university students, researchers, and other professions alike.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve the digital competence of regional administrators in Beji Timur Village, Depok City, through Microsoft Office and Google Apps training. The background of this activity is the need of residents, especially for pos pelayanan terpadu (posyandu, or integrated health service post) cadres, to improve their skills in using the software to support administrative tasks. The training was conducted face-to-face, with a demonstration approach and direct practice accompanied by lecturers and students from the Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (Jakarta State Polytechnic). The evaluation of the activity included a pretest, posttest, and participant satisfaction questionnaire, which showed a significant increase in participant abilities and a positive response to the experience and benefits of the training. The results of this activity showed that this training was effective in improving the digital competence of participants, with an average score of 4.5 for training benefits, 4.8 for training experience, and 4.9 for interest in participating in similar training in the future. This activity is expected to have a long-term impact on improving the quality of human resources in Beji Timur Village. Keywords: digital competence, training, Microsoft Office, Google Apps, community servicePengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi digital pengurus wilayah di Kelurahan Beji Timur, Kota Depok, melalui pelatihan Microsoft Office dan Google Apps. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah kebutuhan warga, terutama kader pos pelayanan terpadu (posyandu), untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam menggunakan perangkat lunak guna mendukung tugas administratif. Pelatihan dilakukan secara tatap muka, dengan pendekatan demonstrasi dan praktik langsung yang didampingi oleh dosen dan mahasiswa dari Politeknik Negeri Jakarta. Evaluasi kegiatan meliputi pretest, posttest, dan angket kepuasan peserta, yang menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan peserta serta respons positif terhadap pengalaman dan manfaat pelatihan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi digital peserta, dengan skor ratarata 4,5 untuk manfaat pelatihan, 4,8 untuk pengalaman pelatihan, dan4,9 untuk minat mengikuti pelatihan serupa di masa depan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak jangka panjang pada peningkatan kualitas SDM di Kelurahan Beji Timur. Abstract

Tebes Lues Village, located in Bies District, Central Aceh Regency, is the only Coffee Village (Kampung Kopi) in the Aceh region. The village development concept focuses on empowering the community to manage coffee farming into value-added products through a community-based tourism (CBT) approach. However, several challenges hinder the development of Kampung Kopi Tebes Lues, including limited local knowledge regarding CBT implementation, the absence of a tourism management group, and the lack of legal certification for local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to sell their products in society at large. To address these issues, a series of activities were organized, engaging the active participation of community members, academics, facilitators, and practitioners. The implementation process was divided into three phases: preparation, execution, and monitoring and evaluation. Several outcomes were achieved, including product licensing documents, intellectual property (IP) registration for product branding, and the establishment of a tourism management group through collaborative discussions between the service team and the local community. Future steps involve collaboration with local government and continued community assistance to enhance tourism-based economic activities in Tebes Lues Village. Desa Tebes Lues di Kecamatan Bies, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah, merupakan satu-satunya Kampung Kopi di Aceh. Konsep pengembangan desa ini berfokus pada pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam mengelola pertanian kopi menjadi produk bernilai tambah melalui pendekatan community-based tourism (CBT). Namun, terdapat beberapa kendala, seperti rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang implementasi CBT, belum terbentuknya kelompok penggerak pariwisata yang mengkoordinasi kegiatan berbasis wisata, serta belum adanya legalitas produk UMKM untuk pemasaran komersial. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, dilakukan serangkaian kegiatan yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat, akademisi, fasilitator, dan praktisi. Metode pelaksanaan dibagi dalam tiga tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan, serta pemantauan dan evaluasi. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan beberapa luaran, seperti dokumen pengusulan izin edar produk, pendaftaran merek HKI, dan pembentukan pengurus kelompok penggerak pariwisata. Tindak lanjut yang diperlukan adalah kolaborasi dengan pemerintah daerah dan pendampingan berkelanjutan untuk mengembangkan ekonomi berbasis pariwisata di Desa Tebes Lues. Abstract

Blimbingsari Village, located in Jembrana Regency, Bali, has great potential for tourism development. Supported by its community awareness, Blimbingsari village can realize real applications for implementing community-based tourism. As a tourist village, Blimbingsari Village has a unique cultural and natural background that makes it a cultural tourist attraction. However, the tourist attraction of Blimbingsari Village still needs to be improved, especially in managing conventions and events, as well as implementing the concept of green tourism by recycling organic household waste. Thus, the obstacle identified is the lack of optimal management of conventions and events at the Blimbingsari Festival and the processing of residual household organic waste. This service activity aims to provide knowledge to the public regarding the management of conventions and events and the processing of organic waste as ecoenzymes. The mothod used in this activity is community development. This service activity is carried out in the form of combining theory and direct practice activities. The results of this service activity show an increase in knowledge in managing conventions and events and processing organic waste as ecoenzymes. The community also gave a positive response to the implementation of training on managing conventions and events and making ecoenzymes with. Through this activity, it is hoped that the community can implement sustainable green tourism in order to preserve the nature and culture in Blimbingsari village. Keywords: Ecoenzym, Farmstay, Homestay, MICE Management Desa Blimbingsari yang terletak di Kabupaten Jembrana, Bali, menyimpan potensi besar untuk pengembangan pariwisata. Didukung oleh kesadaran masyarakat, desa Blimbingsari dapat mewujudkan aplikasi nyata atas implementasi pariwisata berbasis komunitas, yaitu komunitas pemerhati pariwisata hijau di desa Blimbingsari. Sebagai desa wisata, desa Blimbingsari memiliki keunikan latar belakang budaya dan alam yang menjadikannya sebagai atraksi wisata budaya. Namun, daya tarik wisata desa Blimbingsari masih perlu ditingkatkan, utamanya dalam pengelolaan konvensi dan acara, serta pengimplementasian konsep pariwata hijau dengan pendauran ulang sisa-sisa bahan organik limbah rumah tangga. Kendala yang teridentifikasi adalah belum optimalnya pengelolaan konvensi dan acara pada Blimbingsari Festival dan pengolahan sisa limbah bahan organik rumah tangga. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat terkait pengelolaan konvensi dan acara dan pengolahan limbah organik sebagai ecoenzym. Metode yang digunakan adalah community development. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan dengan menggabungkan teori dan praktik langsung. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dalam pengelolaan konvensi dan acara dan pengolahan limbah organik sebagai ecoenzym. Respon positif juga diberikan oleh masyarakat terhadappelaksanaan pelatihan pengelolaan konvensi dan acara dan pembuatan ecoenzym dengan. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan masyarakat dapat menerapkan pariwisata hijau yang berkelanjutan guna menjaga kelestarian alam dan budaya yang ada di desa Blimbingsari. Abstract

Waste can contribute to environmental pollution, which in turn impacts public health. As an alternative solution to address waste issues in urban areas, the development of waste banks represents a social engineering initiative aimed at teaching the community to sort waste and raising awareness about waste management. The objective of the activities conducted is to empower the community through waste sorting programs, encouraging them to become waste bank customers, and managing household waste by producing aromatherapy candles and ecoenzymes. These activities are carried out at the Department of Midwifery, Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang, and in the Green Village Ngijo, Gunungpati, Semarang, which is a foster village. The methods of implementation include awareness campaigns, technical training, and support to drive the waste sorting programs, participation as waste bank customers, as well as the production of aromatherapy candles and ecoenzymes, taking place from July to August 2024. The outcome of these activities is the creation of a community that is environmentally conscious and able to process waste into economically valuable items with high market potential. The training on household waste management was successfully conducted with the involvement of both the academic community and the general public. It is hoped that this waste management initiative will continue as a routine activity, benefiting both the academic community and the foster village by promoting the production of aromatherapy candles and ecoenzymes. Keywords: waste bank, aromatherapy candles, ecoenzymes Sampah dapat mempengaruhi terhadap pencemaran lingkungan yang akan berdampak pada kesehatan masyarakatnya. Untuk alternatif solusi dalam mengatasi masalah sampah di perkotaan, pengembangan bank sampah merupakan kegiatan bersifat social engineering yang mengajarkan masyarakat untuk memilah sampah serta menumbuhkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam pengolahan sampah. Tujuan dari kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah melakukan pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui program kegiatan pilah sampah dan aktivasi sebagai nasabah bank sampah dan pengolahan sampah rumah tangga dengan pembuatan lilin aromaterapi dan juga ecoenyzme. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Jurusan Kebidanan Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang serta di desa binaan Green Village Ngijo, Gunungpati, Semarang. Metode pelaksanaan dengan melakukan sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, serta pendampingan untuk menggerakan program kegiatan pilah sampah dan aktivasi sebagai nasabah bank sampah serta pembuatan lilin aromaterapi dan juga ecoenzym yang dilaksanakan dari bulan JuliAgustus 2024. Hasil dari kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah menghasilkan masyarakat yang peduli terhadap lingkungan serta mengolah sampah menjadi barang dengan nilai ekonomis yang memiliki daya jual tinggi. Pelaksanaan pelatihan pengelolaan limbah rumah tangga dapat terlaksana dengan baik oleh sivitas akademika maupun masyarakat. Diharapkan kegiatan pengolahan limbah sampah ini dapat dilanjutkan sebagai kegiatan rutin yang menghasilkan baik civitas akademika maupun desa binaan dengan menggerakkan produksi lilin aromaterapi dan ecoenzym. Abstract

Training for Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM, or Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) located in a village is essential due to the availability of the current various social media platforms to provide marketing features. This community service in Ciburayut Village, Bogor Regency, West Java is to help UMKM managers create content and utilize live streaming features on social media and e-commerce platforms. The obstacles were found including the lack of gadgets support for creating content, lack of confidence when doing live streaming, and lack of capital so that they were unable to provide goods in large quantities. The community service team of the Faculty of Political and Social Science of Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) suggests the partner utilize lighting sourced from sunlight, to use nature as a background for product photos, hide face when doing live streaming, or ask for help from friends or relatives who have expertise on similar things and to be creative in uploading the product including creating interesting content about Ciburayut Village, raw materials for the product as well as personal experience of seller. Keywords— Content, UMKM, Live Streaming, Marketing Communication Pelatihan untuk Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) yang berada pada sebuah desa sangat diperlukan, mengingat saat ini berbagai platform seperti media sosial dan e-commerce menyediakan fitur yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media komunikasi pemasaran.. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan di Desa Ciburayut, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat. Jaringan internet di desa cukup baik, namun pengelola UMKM masih belum memiliki pengetahuan tentang cara membuat konten dan pemanfaatan fitur live streaming dalam platform media sosial dan e-commerce. Kendala yang ditemukan adalah gadget yang dimiliki pengelola UMKM masih belum mendukung untuk menciptakan konten yang menarik, kurangnya rasa percaya diri ketika melakukan live streaming dan kurangnya modal yang dimiliki sehingga belum mampu menyediakan barang dalam jumlah banyak. Tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat Fisipol UKI memberikan saran di antaranya memanfaatkan pencahayaan yang bersumber dari sinar matahari, memanfaatkan alam sebagai background produk sehingga dapat mengatasi kurangnya kemampuan foto dari gadget yang dimiliki, tidak harus menunjukkan diri ketika live streaming atau meminta bantuan dari teman atau kerabat yang memiliki keahlian berbicara serta mengupload produk secara berkala dengan produk yang sama namun variasi warna yang berbeda secara berkala serta tidak selalu mengupload tentang produk melainkan juga membuat konten tentang Desa Ciburayut, bahan baku dari produk atau pengalaman pribadi penjual yang menarik pembeli. Abstract

Reinforced concrete is the most widely used structure compared to steel or wood. Reinforced concrete is generally very easy to work with. The material is very easy to get. It's so easy, it's often done by workers who don't have knowledge and skills about concrete structures. This condition is exacerbated by building owners who do not pay attention to the details of reinforced concrete structures. The owner does not want to pay for the planning consultant or supervisor. The combination of these causes the condition of the building to be not in a safe condition even though in reality there are still many buildings that are being worked on haphazardly and are still in good condition. In the rules of Civil Engineering where safety is the main thing, the conditions above must be corrected. One of the efforts of the academic community to improve this situation is to implement a Community Service Program (PKM) in the form of Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for construction workers. This Bimtek is filled with the provision of theory and practice. The theory presented is knowledge about reinforcement and concrete constituent materials. While the practice consists of working on reinforcement: cutting, bending and assembling reinforcement. For concrete practice consists of mixing and casting concrete. From this Bimtek, the construction workers understand and able to do reinforcement, mix and pour concrete properly. It is hoped that after attending this Bimtek, the construction workers will be able to apply their knowledge and skills to the projects they are working on in order to obtain a good reinforced concrete structure. In its implementation, this Bimtek received a good reception from the Perbekel and the community. In his speech, the Perbekel of Candi Kuning Village hoped that the masons who had attended this Bimtek would become pioneers of correct concrete structure work, be able to increase competitiveness and get increased wages. Through the representatives of the participants, they expressed their gratitude for the knowledge taught and hoped that similar activities could be carried out again.

Abstract

This community service focusing on paraphrasing workshop to avoid plagiarism is carried out based on the results of research on the academic writing similarity index. Research conducted on students’ theses shows that the students’ thesis similarity index has a high percentage in the theory section. This indicates that most of the theories in the thesis were not written through the paraphrasing stage so that it can be said to be plagiarism. The purpose of this community service is to socialize the importance of paraphrasing to avoid plagiarism, as well as to improve the academics’ paraphasing ability when writing scientific papers. The method used in this workshop is material presentation and cooperative learning. All training activities are carried out online. After the material regarding the procedure for paraphrasing was given, the participants were divided into four different groups and were given some theories by the facilitators which they would paraphrase and then present it in front of all participants and presenters for feedback. The evaluation from the participants regarding this activity was very good and the participants hoped that this activity would become a regular workshop.

Abstract

The bakery and noodle cooperative is one of the new production cooperatives in Kendal. With his new age, the enthusiasm of the members to develop the cooperative is very high. Unfortunately, they do not have enough knowledge about digitalization, one of which is digital marketing. Marketing is needed by all fields of industry and current.ly marketing is more directed towards digitalization with social media for example. Digital marketing is not as simple as offline marketing which causes difficulties for Kobamie Kendal cooperative members. This service will focus on providing material and training related to digital marketing which includes practice in operating algorithms to get the right target market for the business development of Kobamie Kendal cooperative members. The service method usesd is a discussion session and workshop with in-depth evaluation and observation that will be carried out after the workshop is over. The service team directs social media for Kobamie cooperative members and creates websites. Provision of practical material focusing on social media specialists with social media algorithms. The website was created to contain the production of cooperative members so that it will become e-commerce for Kobamie Kendal cooperative members.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memanfaatkan potensi alam yang ada di Kampung Sawah Rumpin, Bogor sebagai alternatif solusi bahan bakar fosil yang merupakan sumber daya yang tidak dapat diperbaharui dan harganyaterus meningkat. Mitra Program pengabdian ini adalah warga kampung sawah, Rumpin Bogor. Kampung tersebut banyak terdapat sampah organik yang selama ini belum dimanfaatkan. Program ini berupa pelatihan bagi kelompok masyarakat untuk menciptakan energi alternatif yang dapat diperbaharui dan bersih dengan memanfaatkan sampah organik antara lain berupa daun kering dan ranting pohon. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan cara mengolah sampah organik tersebut melalui pembakaran dengan tungku pirolisis. Pembuatan briket arang dari limbah organik dapat mengurangi timbunan limbah yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan lingkungan dan dapat dipakai masyarakat sebagai bahan bakar rumah tangga karena murah dan memenuhi standar kesehatan. Selain pelatihan, program ini jugamenyebarkan kuisioner terkait dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyrakat terkait dengan briket limbah organik, hasilnya terjadi peningkatan yang cukup signifikan (93-100%) antara sebelum dan sesudah diberi pelatihan. Pembuatan briket dengan nilai kalor yang tinggi dapat diperoleh dengan treatment C (arang yang berasal dari kayu dicampur kanji cair 10% w) yaitu 6391 cal/gr. Terakhir perangkat alat pembuat briket arang ini diserahkan pada masyarakat agar dapat dimanfaatkan bagi masyarakat luas agar masyarakat bisa membuat sendiri sehingga dapat memanfaatkan limbah organik di sekitarnya dan bahkan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

Project Based Learning is really needed in vocational schools, because education in vocational schools emphasizes the skills aspect rather than the knowledge aspect. So that this learning can be better understood by students, it is necessary to create a trainer or simulator to practice the theory that has been obtained. Based on a survey that has been conducted, the service partner, namely SMK Yapin Kertasemaya, has a Business and Motorcycle Engineering Study Program, but does not yet have a motorbike trainer. Therefore, this service will collaborate with partners, namely SMK Yapin Kertasemaya, to create motorbike trainers. Because the motorbike system is quite complex, the trainers made are limited to electrical trainers only. The trainer was made in the Instrumentation and Control Laboratory at the Indramayu State Polytechnic with the assistance of laboratory assistants and several students. So that the trainer created can function well, the trainer will also be tested and evaluated by expert lecturers from Mechanical Engineering. Based on the design that has been carried out, the results obtained are that all trainer components can function well and can be tested on vocational school students. After the trainer was tested on vocational school students, the team gave a questionnaire to the teachers and the results showed that the trainer made was very good and really helped the learning activities of vocational school students, but the quantity needed to be increased further in order to accommodate all students' practical activities.
