Abstract

Low employee performance and its relation with extrinsic and extrinsic work motivation have been the focus of this study. The study examines how extrinsic and intrinsic motivation partially and simultaneously affect the performance of employees at the Regional Public Service Agency for the Drinking Water Supply System of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (Badan Layanan Umum Daerah Sistem Penyediaan Air Minum Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang - BLUD SPAM of DPUPR) of East Nusa Tenggara Province. This study was quantitative, with a cross-sectional approach from September to November 2020. The population was 38 employees, and the sample consisted of 33 people determined purposively by considering their willingness to be respondents. We used a questionnaire as the instrument, and data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and simple and multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that extrinsic motivation, including incentives, working conditions, work relationships between leaders and staff, and job security, partially affects employee performance. Intrinsic motivation, including the work itself, responsibility, work knowledge, and work performance, partially influences employee performance. Extrinsic and intrinsic motivation simultaneously influence employee performance. It can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between extrinsic and intrinsic motivation partially and simultaneously on the performance of employees of the Regional Public Service Agency for the Drinking Water Supply System of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (Badan Layanan Umum Daerah Sistem Penyediaan Air Minum Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang - BLUD SPAM of DPUPR) of East Nusa Tenggara Province.

Abstract

The presidential threshold is considered to have no normative problems, but when viewed in practice, there are substantive problems. This is because the Presidential Threshold is the nomination threshold as stipulated in Article 222 of Law Number 7 Year 2017 concerning General Elections. This raises big questions about the General Election as a means of organizing democracy, because parties that do not have the number of seats as mentioned cannot propose a pair of candidates for President and Vice President so that it has the potential to limit democratic rights while in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia does not provide restrictions on each political party to propose a pair of candidates for President and Vice President as contained in Article 6A paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Based on the purpose of this study to get an overview of the play approach to gross motor skills of children with disabilities, using a method for this study with Pre-Experimental Design, this research design with pretest and post-test. Retrieval using tests related to motor movement skills. The number of subjects used in the study were 27 students of tunagrahita children. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics are used to interpret and analyse data and t-test to see significant differences in the two variables before and after the play approach. The results of the calculation of the pre-test score description minimum score 7, maximum 12 average 8.74, standard deviation 1.28, for the post test score minimum 7, maximum 15, average 12.22, standard deviation 1.82. For the calculation of the difference test between the post test and the pre test using the paired sample test, the value based on the sig value is 0.00 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of the play approach on the motor skills of children with disabilities in SLB Jombang Regency

Abstract

The government always strives to improve the character of the nation's children through its policies and regulations, but the government's efforts have not been fully implemented in every educational environment. The proof is that student character is still in the spotlight. In the field, there are many irregularities, including cases of bullying, brawls causing death, disrespect for teachers, and other things that become homework for educational institutions to strengthen students' character. The solution can be through strengthening spiritual and emotional intelligence. The aim of this research is to find out whether spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence independently or together influence students' character. And want to know the concept of character education at Tahfidz Cahaya Qur'an High School. The research approach used is a combination method of sequential explanatory models. The results of the research 1) emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence have a strong relationship and have a significant influence on student character. The dependent variable is more strongly influenced by the independent variables together X1 and character based.

Abstract

This study was intended to explore educators’ point of view in higher education related to AIpowered writing tools on students’ writing skills. By means of phenomenological research using lived-experience approach by Manen (2016), the study endeavored to find detail information of six higher education teachers from four Indonesian private Universities related to their perspective of the use of AI-powered writing tools in higher education. The study revealed four main aspects namely strength, weakness, opportunity and threats. AI-powered writing tools deliberately bring positive sights on their implication in language learning. These constructive points are time and access efficiency in practice which enable users to use it as simple as possible. These tools are also seen to be good in providing real-time feedback and helping users to synthesize the materials quickly. Moreover, these tools covey their weakness as seem to produce unnatural work and use sophisticated dictions where sometimes are irrelevant. Furthermore, this study found that the respondents also highlight some possible threats led by the implication of those AI-powered writing tools. They saw the use of these tools recurrently will give rise to dependence on the tools and decrease students’ capability. Those tools are believed to decrease students’ creative and critical thinking when students feel comfortable in using it as their problem solvers in writing projects. From the findings, it can be construed that AI-powered writing tools could bring both positive and negative impact on the users. The study suggested that further researchers could explore the mitigation of possible threats of the integration of AI-powered writing tools and academic use.

Abstract

Through the combination of the Think-Pair-Share and Talking-Stick models, this project aimed to improve learning outcomes and increase mathematical engagement among students in class XI at SMA Kemala Bhayangkari-2 Rantau Prapat. This study represents classroom action research. The research was done in two cycles, with each cycle including preparation, execution, observation, and reflection. This study involved 30 students from class XI at SMA Kemala Bhayangkari-2 Rantau Prapat. The sources of data are teachers and students. Various methods of data collecting include observation, interviews, testing, and document analysis. Using data triangulation and triangulation procedures to determine the veracity of the data. Comparative and critical descriptive analysis approaches were employed in the data analysis. Planning, implementation, observation and interpretation, and analysis and reflection are the research methods. The results demonstrated that by applying the Think Pair Share collaborative approach with the Talking Stick, learning outcomes may be enhanced and student engagement encouraged. This study concludes that the implementation of the Think Pair Share Model Collaboration with the Talking Stick model can improve learning results and stimulate student participation in administration courses.
