Abstract

Civic education is one of the basic courses that must be taken by every student at the College. The regulation of the course is based on the mandate contained in the law on the National Education System. Through Civic Education courses, the students can be directed national personality, that is how they love their homeland Indonesia, being a democratic, civilized, tolerant and so on. Muhammadiyah through the Council of Higher Education, Research and Development of Muhammadiyah head quarter published a textbook on Civic Education with the title Civic Education toward a Democratic and Civilized Life. The book became a staple in reference Civic Education Course in Universities of Muhammadiyah (PTM). However when elaborate on the Indonesian ideology or, in the book does not contain the formulation history of state basic ideology which was done by the founding fathers. Also how the role and Islamic thought figures who participated in formulating the state basic ideology be part of the material that was duly presented in the book. It is important that students who study in PTM to know and understand the history and struggle of Islamic figures in formulating the basis of the state and the dynamics that occurred at that time. So that their knowledge is complete and in understanding the Pancasila as the state basic ideology of Indonesia. Ki Bagus had very important role in the Committee for Indonesian Independence (PPKI) experienced of dead lock about the change of first principle of Pancasila, and there was serious debate and dynamic. Likewise, the role and thought of Kasman Singodimedjo was also important on the basis state in both the trial PPKI, as well as in the Constituent Assembly. Perpsektif Kasman about Pancasila based on Islam became important after the implementation of 1945 Constitution and Presidential Decree July 5th 1959. The role of Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir as a witness to the history of the struggle of Muslims cannot be neglected; especially Mudzakkir included in the Committee of Nine which develops the basic state eventually became the Jakarta Charter and accepted unanimously by BPUPKI. Furthermore, in the Constituent Assembly Mudzakkir remain committed to make Islam as the basis of the state, where the Constituent Assembly is the foundation of the momentum of the second volume formulation. The core of the Civics book is how the problem of state ideology especially Pancasila can be described in a comprehensive, complete and not partial. Including the relationship between the Jakarta Charter and the Constitution 1945. Other matters concerning aspects of citizenship is derived and the meaning of ideology or basic state. Therefore, this paper presents the role and thought of Ki Bagus Hadikusumo, Kasman Singodimedjo, and Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir become material development of Civic Education in the book of Civic Education toward a Democratic and Civilized Life.Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan merupakan salah satu mata kuliah dasar yang mesti ditempuh oleh setiap mahasiswa dalam studinya di Perguruan Tinggi. Ketentuan adanya mata kuliah ini berdasarkan amanat yang tertuang dalam undang-undang tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional. Melalui mata kuliah Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan ini mahasiswa diarahkan dapat berkepribadian nasional, yaitu bagaimana mereka cinta tanah air Indonesia, bersikap demokratis, beradab, toleran dan lain sebagainya. Muhammadiyah melalui Majelis Pendidikan Tinggi, Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Diktilitbang) Pimpinan Pusat Muhammadiyah (PP Muhammadiyah) menerbitkan satu buku teks tentang Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (Civic Education) dengan judul Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan Menuju Kehidupan yang Demokratis dan Berkeadaban. Buku ini menjadi referensi pokok dalam Mata Kuliah Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah (PTM). Akan tetapi ketika menguraikan tentang ideologi atau dasar negara Indonesia pada bagian yang membahas tentang “Membangun  Identitas Nasional”, tidak memuat bagaimana sejarah perumusan dasar negara yang dilakukan para founding fathers. Bagaimana pemikiran tokoh-tokoh Islam seperti Ki Bagus Hadikusumo, Kasman Singodimedjo, dan Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir tidak menjadi bagian dalam materi yang sepatutnya disajikan dalam buku tersebut. Hal ini penting agar mahasiswa mengetahui dan memahami sejarah dan perjuangan tokoh-tokoh Islam dalam merumuskan dasar negara serta dinamika yang terjadi saat itu. Sehingga pengetahuan mereka menjadi utuh dan tidak parsial dalam memahami Pancasila sebagai dasar negara Indonesia. Peran Ki Bagus sangat penting ketika Panitia Persiapan Kemerdekaan Indonesia (PPKI) mengalami deadlock soal perubahan sila pertama dasar negara Indonesia. Demikian juga pemikiran Kasman Singodimedjo tentang dasar negara baik dalam sidang PPKI, maupun dalam sidang Konstituante. Perpsektif Kasman tentang Pancasila yang berbasis pada Islam menjadi penting setelah diberlakukan kembali UUD 1945 dengan lahirnya Dekrit Presiden 5 Juli 1959. Demikian juga pemikiran Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir sebagai saksi sejarah perjuangan umat Islam tidak bisa dilupakan begitu saja, Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir termasuk dalam Panitia Sembilan yang bertugas menyusun dasar negara yang pada akhirnya menjadi Piagam Jakarta. Dalam Sidang Konstituante Mudzakkir tetap komitmen menjadikan Islam sebagai dasar negara, di mana Sidang Konstituante adalah momentum perumusan dasar negara jilid kedua. Inti dari buku PKn adalah bagaimana masalah ideologi negara khususnya Pancasila dapat dijelaskan secara komprehensif, utuh dan tidak parsial. Termasuk hubungan antara Piagam Jakarta dan UUD 1945. Oleh karena itu disertasi ini membahas pemikiran Ki Bagus Hadikusumo, Kasman Singodimedjo, dan Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir menjadi bahan pengembangan materi Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dalam buku ajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan Menuju Kehidupan yang Demokratis dan Berkeadaban.

Including the relationship between the Jakarta Charter and the Constitution 1945. Other matters concerning aspects of citizenship is derived and the meaning of ideology or basic state. Abstract

Abstract: Gender equality is a discourse that is still warm to be discussed by Muslim feminists. Initiators and supporters of gender equality often questioned about Islamic laws that were considered to be unfair since they had positioned men and women differently such as the obligotary for  adhan (call for prayer), the Friday prayers, the number of goats in aqiqah (welcoming celebretion of child’s birth), and the compulsory of breastfeeding and caring for the child. Through content analysis, this study tried not only to elaborate a number of products of reintepretation based on Qur'anic Hermeneutics version of the female models but also show the history of the ideology of feminism and the inappropriateness of using hermeneutical exegesis. Feminism departed from the ideology of hatred as a form of resistance against the oppression of women that occurred in Western Christian civilization in th past. Hermeneutical exegesis approach also came from an academic Christian tradition that considered Bible text not as a God’s revelation. Both conditions were diametrically opposed to the fact in the Islamic tradition. The text of the Qur’an in Islam, was not a cultural product, but as a revelation of God to human being in the world. Historically,  Islam never surpressed to women, but it placed women in a glorious position. Meanwhile, different roles given to men and women were aimed at getting maximum benefits to the world so that they could work together and complement each other to achieve happiness in the world and the hereafter.الملخص :أصبح موضوع المساواة بين الرجل والمرأة موضوع حديث حارّ بين نساء النسوية المسلمات. قد تتسائل مؤسِّسات المذهب النسوي ومؤيّدوها الشريعة الإسلامية التي – في نظرهن – لم تكن عادلة وتضع الرجل والمرأة في مستوى ومكان غير متواز ، مثل مشروعية الأذان وأداء صلاة الجمعة للرجال وعدد الغنم في العقيقة مختلف بينهما، وتكليف حضانة الأولاد ورعايتهم على النساء. حاولت هذه الدراسة – عن طريق تحليل المضمون ليس فقط دراسة نتائج من إعادة تفسير القرآن بنمط الهرمينيطيقا لدى النساء بل عرضت كذلك تاريخ إيديولوجية النسوية وعدم صحة استخدام التفسير الهرمينيطقي في هذا المجال. اعتمدت النسوية على إيديولوجية الكره والحقد كشكل معارضات على أنواع الظلم تجاه المرأة في المجتمع الغربي المسيحي في القرون الماضية. وأصل التفسير الهرمينيطقي  كذلك من التقاليد الأكاديمية المسيحية المعتبرة أن الإنجيل ليس وحيا يوحي. هذان الشيئان متناقضان بما في الإسلام من أن القرآن ليس انتاجا ثقافيا بل وحي من الله. ليس في الإسلام التاريخ عن ظلم الرأة بل هو وضعها في مرتبة رفيعة. أم تفريق الدور بينهما ليس إلا ليكون كل منهما نافعا في هذه الدنيا ويتعاونان ويتكاملان للحصول على السعادتين في الدنيا والآخرة.Abstrak: Kesetaraan gender merupakan diskursus yang tetap hangat diperbincangkan para feminis muslim. Penggagas dan pendukung kesetaraan gender tidak jarang mempersoalkan hukum Islam yang dianggap kurang adil dan memposisikan laki-laki dan perempuan secara berbeda seperti pembebanan adzan, shalat Jum’at, jumlah kambing saat aqi>qah di satu sisi, dan pembebanan menyusui dan merawat anak di sisi yang lain. Melalui content analysis kajian ini mencoba tidak saja untuk mengelaborasi sejumlah produk reintepretasi al-Qur’an model Hermeneutika versi kaum perempuan tetapi juga menunjukkan sejarah ideologi feminisme serta ketidaktepatan penggunaan tafsir hermeneutika. Feminisme berangkat dari ideologi kebencian sebagai bentuk perlawanan terhadap penindasan perempuan yang terjadi dalam peradaban Barat-Kristen di masa lalu. Metode tafsir Hermeneutika juga berasal dari tradisi akademis Kristen yang menganggap teks Bible bukan sebagai wahyu. Kedua kondisi ini berseberangan secara diametral dengan fakta dalam tradisi Islam. Teks al-Qur’an, dalam Islam, bukanlah produk budaya, melainkan wahyu. Islam tidak memiliki sejarah penindasan terhadap kaum perempuan, bahkan memposisikan perempuan dalam posisi yang mulia. Perbedaan peran yang diberikan kepada laki-laki dan perempuan ditujukan agar keduanya dapat bermanfaat secara maksimal di dunia, untuk saling bekerja sama dan melengkapi demi mencapai kebahagiaan dunia dan akhirat.Keywords: kesetaraan, gender, perempuan, feminisme, tafsir, hermeneutik.

Abstract

This study aims to describe leadership and its position in Islamic education. The method used in this research is a literature study by collecting (material materials) sourced from various books, journals, and other sources. The results of the study indicate that an effective leader in an educational institution is able to motivate his staff (teachers and non-teachers) to excel and work with high spirits. He will also be able to build good relationships with parents and the surrounding community for the betterment of the institution he leads. Achievement motivation and high work spirit of school/madrasah staff will give birth to better quality education services which then produce students who excel.

Abstract

Proses belajar mengajar selalu mengarah kepada ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, dimana ada penemuan baru tentu dunia pendidikan tidak bisa hanya menonton tetapi harus dapat memanfaatkannya. Oleh karena itu pendidikan bukan merupakan perbuatan yang mudah, ia harus dilaksanakan dengan situasi dan kondisi yang konkret dan direncanakan melalui pemikiran yang mantap.  Bagi manusia, pendidikan bukan sekedar kemungkinan melainkan suatu keharusan untuk dapat hidup sebagai manusia apabila manusia yang baru lahir itu tidak mendpatkan bantuan berupa bantuan pendidikan, sulit dibayangkan ia dapat terus hidup, apabila hidup sebagai manusia yang harus mampu melaksanakan dengan penuh tanggung jawab dalam dunia yang serba kompleks, penuh tantangan. Itulah sebabnya maka pendidikan diberikan istilah pemanusiawian manusia atau humanization.Undang-undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional ini telah meumuskan secara tegas mengenai dasar, fungsi, dan tujuan Pendidikan Nasional. Pasal 2 Undang-undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional yang memuat dasar pendidikan nasional, yaitu berdasar Pancasila dan Undang-undang Dasar 1945, sedang fungsinya yaitu mengembangkan kemampuan dan membentuk watak serta peradaban bangsa yang bermartabat dalam rangka mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Kata Kunci: Metode Ceramah, Metode Quantum, Pembentukan AHklak

Buku ini menjadi referensi pokok dalam Mata Kuliah Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah (PTM). Akan tetapi ketika menguraikan tentang ideologi atau dasar negara Indonesia pada bagian yang membahas tentang “Membangun  Identitas Nasional”, tidak memuat bagaimana sejarah perumusan dasar negara yang dilakukan para founding fathers. Bagaimana pemikiran tokoh-tokoh Islam seperti Ki Bagus Hadikusumo, Kasman Singodimedjo, dan Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir tidak menjadi bagian dalam materi yang sepatutnya disajikan dalam buku tersebut. Hal ini penting agar mahasiswa mengetahui dan memahami sejarah dan perjuangan tokoh-tokoh Islam dalam merumuskan dasar negara serta dinamika yang terjadi saat itu. Sehingga pengetahuan mereka menjadi utuh dan tidak parsial dalam memahami Pancasila sebagai dasar negara Indonesia. Peran Ki Bagus sangat penting ketika Panitia Persiapan Kemerdekaan Indonesia (PPKI) mengalami deadlock soal perubahan sila pertama dasar negara Indonesia. Demikian juga pemikiran Kasman Singodimedjo tentang dasar negara baik dalam sidang PPKI, maupun dalam sidang Konstituante. Perpsektif Kasman tentang Pancasila yang berbasis pada Islam menjadi penting setelah diberlakukan kembali UUD 1945 dengan lahirnya Dekrit Presiden 5 Juli 1959. Demikian juga pemikiran Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir sebagai saksi sejarah perjuangan umat Islam tidak bisa dilupakan begitu saja, Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir termasuk dalam Panitia Sembilan yang bertugas menyusun dasar negara yang pada akhirnya menjadi Piagam Jakarta. Dalam Sidang Konstituante Mudzakkir tetap komitmen menjadikan Islam sebagai dasar negara, di mana Sidang Konstituante adalah momentum perumusan dasar negara jilid kedua. Inti dari buku PKn adalah bagaimana masalah ideologi negara khususnya Pancasila dapat dijelaskan secara komprehensif, utuh dan tidak parsial. Termasuk hubungan antara Piagam Jakarta dan UUD 1945. Oleh karena itu disertasi ini membahas pemikiran Ki Bagus Hadikusumo, Kasman Singodimedjo, dan Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir menjadi bahan pengembangan materi Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dalam buku ajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan Menuju Kehidupan yang Demokratis dan Berkeadaban.

Abstract

As one foothold to create perspective in understanding the growing phase in the politics of the Christian  West, is reviewing Inquisition. In fact it was an Institutional Church, in its trace of history incised dark history. Inquisition, is not excessive to say as a  real  symbol  of  the  violence  perpetrated  the  Christian  West  against  resistances  that emerged from society; Either from other faiths, as well as Christians who deemed to have been out the Church’s mainstream. However it should be noted, Inquisition has resulted an infiltration adapted to the field of Islamic Studies. Equipped with study of Western history,  emerged  perspective  that  seems  to  generalize  the  political  history  situation both of religion. This is certainly a fatal problematic, where the conceptual different of religions –in this case Islam and Christian- turned into something that was not respected. The identity of religions may not be generalized by one angle polemic. It is important to be held an identification problem exclusively to provide a clear solution indeed. Abstract

Teachers' certification as a medium to improve teacher competence is considered not optimal, so it is necessary to explore a more comprehensive concept. This study aimed to examine the Personality Competency of Islamic Religious Education Teachers (PAI) at Tarakan State High School/Vocational High School in al-Ghazali Perspective. This research is field research that is descriptive qualitative. This research approach is a theological, pedagogical, psychological, and managerial approach. This study's data sources are primary data sources consisting of principals, deputy heads, Islamic Education teachers, learners, and secondary data sources consisting of the necessary documentation. Research instruments use observation guides, interview guidelines, and checklist documentation. Data collection methods use observation, interviews, and documentation. Data processing and analysis techniques through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation (data display), and conclusion withdrawal (data verification). Through collecting, processing, and analyzing data, it was found that in general aspects of the personality of Islamic Education teachers in Tarakan City in al-Ghazali Perspective still exist that need to be improved from less to good. The implication is: Teachers must have the right criteria, as stated by Al-Ghazali and the LawAbstrakSertifikasi guru sebagai media untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru, dinilai belum optimal, sehingga perlu untuk menggali sebuah konsep yang lebih komprehensif. Tujuan penelitian ini mengkaji Kompetensi Kepribadian Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMA/SMK Negeri Kota Tarakan dalam Perspektif al-Ghazali. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan yang bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan teologis, pedagogis, psikologis, dan pendekatan manajerial. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu sumber data primer yang terdiri dari kepala sekolah, wakil kepala, guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, peserta didik, dan sumber data sekunder yang terdiri dari dokumentasi penting. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan panduan observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan check list dokumentasi. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik pengolahan dan analisis data melalui tiga tahap, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data (display data), dan penarikan kesimpulan (verifikasi data). Melalui proses pengumpulan, pengolahan, dan analisis data maka ditemukan hasil penelitian bahwa pada umumnya aspek kepribadian guru Pendidikan Agama Islam di Kota Tarakan dalam Perspektif al-Ghazali masih ada yang perlu ditingkatkan dari kurang baik menjadi baik. Implikasinya adalah: Guru harus memiliki kriteria baik sebagaimana telah diungkapkan oleh Al-Ghazali dan Undang-Undang.

Abstract

Bernard Lewis was known as a good writer and an orientalist who concentrated on Islamic and Jewish history. Exactly, he was the one who introduced the discourse of ‘Clash of Civilizations’ for the first time through his article “The Roots of Muslim Rage” in Atlantic Monthly journal released on September, 1990. It was written as a preparation to decide a “new enemy” of the West after the Cold War. Lewis called Western Civilization by “Christian Civilization”, which mean that its root was Christian religion. According to Lewis, the conflict between Islam and the West (Christian) had been starting since hundred years ago and it is increasing. He noted, since the rise of Islam, there was physical contact between Islam and Christian happened when the Prophet Mohammed Saw began his mission in the early 7th century. During that era, the whole region of Mediterranean which was a part of Christendom had switched to be Islamic zone. Lewis was so close to the White House authority and it caused his views containing political thought which guided the United States of America to decide their foreign policy. Therefore, he lost his objectivity as a scientist to reveal some facts along relationship between Islam and the West. It is obviously explained in his book “The Crisis of Islam: Holy War and Unholy Terror”. The book is such an apology of the West for their foreign policy implementation, especially toward Islamic world. This article reveals how Lewis defended political policy of Western countries, especially USA.

Abstract

At the moment, Indonesian government campaigns for education based on character rapidly. Various theories have been proposed to make this mission success. Unfortunately, the government tends to use the secular’s theories which so far from religious values, whereas Indonesia is the biggest nation with Muslims population in the world. Righteously, the education which based on character should be taken from this Religion’s precepts. Actually, this idea has been engaged by the founding father of this country. In the principle’s foundation of this country (Pancasila), the founding father formulate some principle which using Islamic terms. As an example, in second principle, we can find word ‘Adil’ and ‘Adab’ which both of these words is Islamic term that considered as Islamic basic vocabulary and closely related with Islam’s precepts. Because of this importance, the founding father used this words and Islamic terms inside the principle’s foundation of this country (Pancasila). These indicates how strong the influences of Islamic worldview in prefatory’s constitution of this country (Pembukaan UUD 1945). Therefore, we have to understanding these Islamic terms (adab and adil) with Islamic worldview. Because of the importance of this ‘Adab’ term, then this is the time when the government use these term in implementation of education based on character in this country.
